In case you need to revert for warranty service or just for fun.
Taken from a never before booted unmodified unit. Enjoy!
http://www.4shared.com/file/T0ekY2XN/mytouch_slide_factory_nandroid.html
Note: These instructions assume a certain level of technical skill considering if you have the need to revert you have already rooted and flashed your devices at least once. Ensure you have flashed the factory version of the radio and splash1 partition prior to returning to this image for everything to be factory (note: splash1 can currently be nothing other than factory as there is not an SPL with security off at this time).
1) Unpack these files to your phones sdcard in to a directory named: clockworkmod/backup/factory
2) Boot in a ClockworkMod Recovery
3) Select wipe data/factory reset
4) Select nandroid; restore; select the directory named factory ; wait for restore to complete
5) Reboot
thanks for this. but noob question here: if i ever root & go flashin roms all willy-nilly, how would i apply this?
Nice. Thanks.
Thanks man, I'm gonna keep this saved on me PC for that "just in case" moment you might need it haha. Appeciate it.
Curious if anyone has performed a nandroid restore with the Slide via the stock/clockwork recovery method. My thinking here is if a nandroid restore is possible, with this backup we can return the phone to an absolute un-rooted stock state. Is that correct? Any insight is appreciated.

If you flashed the engineering rom make sure you apply the Newest_Slide_Radio.zip that ChiefzReloaded posted, that is the stock radio. The nandroid backup does not contain the radio.
Interesting, 3 posts asking for clarification and the OP provides unsolicited clarification for someone simply posting a thanks.
Thanks for posting the Nandroid files.
Im going to try and do a nandroid backup using this, but not until tuesday of this coming week (when i will be returning the phone to Best Buy ;-) )

Let us know how it goes.
Are you giving up the Slide or are you exchanging? If you're moving on to another device and won't be around much anymore just wanted to say thanks for your contributions while you were testing out the Slide.

Sorry, i've been busy today. I do have time for quick comments but i haven't had time to explain things in detail. If no one steps in to answer i'll answer the detailed questions tomorrow.
Update.zip?
How do i restore this backup, rename it to update and flash from the normal recovery, i have a mix of the original rom and the engineering rom preventing root (lost clockwork by not installing the SU.apk during the Eng flash). i need to take it back, anyone out there???

I did a restore on my engineering flashed unit this morning with this image and clockwork recovery. Everything is back the way it should be, boots right up in to a never before used phone with all version numbers the way they should be.
Now I have to root the thing again!

You need to get in to clockwork recovery, which is currently loaded by the update.zip you use to root your phone. Once you are in there you select nandroid and restore, then flash these backup images to your phone.
If you get to the point you need to do it I would be happy to provide more detailed instructions!

You need to get in to the Clockwork Recovery to restore this. Follow the directions in the root how-to, when you apply that provided update.zip that is what gets you in to clockwork recovery.
Copy these files on to your sdcard (first, before anything else), get in to Clockwork Recovery, select nandroid, select restore, and point it to these images.
ok this sounds totally noob but I'm not sure what you mean by "point it to these images"

Data wipe complete.

Hello All,
I am hoping the XDA community can help me out.
My current situation is that I am rooted, runnig Madhi 4.4.2 rom. I also have TWRP installed, with backup for stock rooted rom, and a backup for
my current Madhi Rom. Here lies my problem. I can't flash any other rom, nor can I flash my stock backup rom.
When I try to flash a different rom I get bootloops causing it to constantly restart, which is the same thing that happens when i try to flash my stock
backup. Can someone be kind enough to tell me what I am doing wrong (before i was able to restore my backup to stock), and what do i need to
do to be able to change out my rom. Hopefully there is a way to do so without having to bring my phone completely back to stock, then rerooting.
I've searched the threads but i wasn't able to find the answer.
Thanks in advance for your help guys.

What version of TWRP are you running and how are you wiping? Make sure you go into advanced and wipe cache, dalvik, data AND system.
Do this 3 times! Because sometimes it doesn't work. Flash your rom then wipe cache and dalvik and restart.

Thanks for the tip. I am running 2.6.3.3 TWRP.
I normally do the full wipe, but i took your advice and went into advanced wipe and wiped dalvik, cache, system & data but unfortunately still the same result.
do you have any idea of what boggered up my phone? for right now, im stuck on Mahi Rom. I can restore back to Mahi Rom, and flash Mahi Rom, but that's the extent of it.
I do recall that when I originally flashed Mahi Rom, i had to flash a patch for the Sprint version of the G2. Do you think that has something to do with my problems?
i didn't have this problem before...just kinda baffled that now its giving me issues....
Thanks for your time, much appreciated. Hope someone can help me get to the bottom of this

I'm baffled as well, I would say it's time for a .tot restore. The rooting doesn't take long really, I think you'll spend more time trying to troubleshoot than it takes to wipe and restore your apps with TBU.
Are you by chance using the zva radio?

Thanks for taking the time out to help me out. I'm afraid you might be right. It's just the the files for the .tot restore are huge! One file was over 2.1 gb, which sucks for me cause my internet is really slow. funny thing is i was dl'ing that file took like 5 hours, and when it got to 2gb downloaded, the site froze and i wasn't able to pause/resume my download. it was very frustrating.

Most roms are around 1.5gb. If you are getting disconnects it could also be causing what you see with the other roms you're flashing. Unless they are the same ones that you flashed successfully before of course.
Either way having a .tot restore file backup up on your PC is really handy to have.

Hey guys! I am a bit of a noob on installing roms. I have a rooted s4 then I installed cwm. I restored touchwiz first just in case then flashed cm11. I liked touchwiz better so I restored it and its always stuck in a bootloop. I dont really know what information to give you since I'm a noob at this. My phone isn't with me right now but I'll be getting it soon. Also I flashed cm11 again so its usable. I haven't seen any thread that has this problem with the same phone.

The right way, if you want touchwiz back, is this:
go to your recovery, select wipe data. Wipe it and after that restore your backup, than clean cache. This should work fine

the lockscreen works but it keeps saying something like user proccess is not responding do you want to close it? then there is wait or ok. I tried to open the camera from the lockscreen and it works. I think the backup is corrupted. Do you think I should flash a rom like touchwiz? if yes, do you know any good ones?
