is the nook color cm9 support going to continue? and when will it come out?
Yes support will continue. Rule number 1 of CM is NO ETA'S!!! You can download unofficial CM9 nightly builds in the dev subforum.

thanks, i just flashed the alpha , little buggy cant wait for official release!
Requests for ETA's can make people a little touchy.
Go to the development thread and look for the nightly builds compiled and posted by Samiam. He has a link on the first post which has his nightly builds. The devs have made some amazing progress since that alpha. I am running the nightly from a day or so ago. You'll be amazed. They are unofficial, and entirely great.

Do they have change logs for the nightlies ?
Dalingrin has recommended these nightlies on his Google+ "twitter." Both Teamwin and Eyeballer are respected devs in the community. Teamwin was devving the TWRP touch recovery mod among other things and Eyeballer has done some terrific stuff on the Nook Color.

This is very cool, thanks for bringing attention to these nightlies! I'll see how the 20120216 build runs.

yeah and when looking at the changes, be sure to note the device... if it says a different device, its not a change that effects your touchpad (unless its a general change)
I don't get it. So are the two developers specifically working on CM9 for the Touchpad? Or are these sort of like AOSP releases... or what? What's the significance of the bots? I'm so confused!

CM9 nightlies means that these people have a buildbot on some server that literally syncs up the CM9 source code every NIGHT and builds it. (As in the same Dalingrin CM9 source code.) It does not mean that the they are actively working on the Touchpad (not to say that they aren't, not every developer announces every time they submit code.)
Buildbot = Literally what it sounds like. A computer script that automatically builds CM9 every night from the newest source code.
P.S. Sorry if this makes no sense. I'm tired... it's been a long day and I had to stay up to finish a paper due tomorrow morning.
Good stuff, loving it. Thank you for posting!
those not familiar with nightlies, need to know one thing. the latest nightly might break something from the previous nightly. so it's important to make nightly nandroids before flashing. although you are allowed feedback, there will hardly be any support from the devs. i'm not sure if there is a site to report anything broken on nightlies.
so save your daily driver..
PS. dev said the Alpha0.6 will more than likely be obsolete soon.

Those two mentioned are members of Cyannogenmod 9 Touchpad team.
There are 2 dev groups working on Touchpad ICS (ie not kanged version of CM9).

2/16 is running fine here. suggest you post the MD5 on 2/16. i'll edit this post with my MD5. if MD5 is ok, there might be a copy to sdcard error. so mount sdcard from cwm and copy the zip over.

Has newer commits but new bugs can be introduced at any time.

Hi folks,
Im sorry that this is a silly question, but I have been attempting to look for the next update of CM7.2-RC1 since 14-Mar at here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=olympus
But I saw only the ninghtly versions that show as CM7 (not CM7.2, I mean)
Because that they were added into the same download link with the CM7.2-RC1, so I am wondering whether they are the newest updates of it, I mean the 19-Apr and the 21-Apr releases?
Please excuse me if this is a repeated question as somwhere. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks, but your reply does not make me be clear. I know that is the latest update of nightly series. But my question is, whether that 21-Apr nightly is the latest update of CM7.2-RC1?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
In other words, my question is: Have been there the CM7.2-RC2, RC3, RC4...yet? And where is the official link I can check for the newest update of CM7.2 series? Thank you all in advance again.
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
The nightly is the latest version. No need to check further. I guess if you don't want to take my work for it, you can always check github for the latest changes.
That's the latest RC. Nightlies are the the only "most up to date" roms, but they aren't release candidates.
Edit: actually, RC2 is the latest I think. I'm searching on my phone so its kinda hard to find.

Double post sorry
WTF? There is no RC2 yet. RC1 is the latest "stable" release, and the nightlies are unstable snapshots from those dates with updates to RC1.

Thank you. So RC2 is not released yet and we just wait for it in short time, right? At meanwhile, I see that the nightly 21-Apr in the link on post #1 showed as CM7 instead of CM7.2. So could you advise me about this? How is this version comparing to the CM7.2-RC1?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
What are you waiting for? RC1 is the Stable Release. There is probably no more development for CM7 on the Atrix. RC1 is very stable and fully functional. I think you even have fingerprint thanks to the Atrix team.
If you want something different, there are some CM7 variants such as MIUI, Ligux and Mokee.
All development now is in ICS which is basically waiting on Moto to release ICS drivers and kernels. Until then you will not have a fully functioning ROM although the devs have done some awesome work with what they have.
Enjoy CM7 as it is a great ROM for the Atrix.
I am running Morrisoft Gen V0.9 based on CM7 nightly April 9th 2012. It is fast and smooth. I have not experienced any bugs yet. You can give it a try.
edited for dumb question removal. lol
The CM7 nightly released 4-21 (20120420) is more stable than the RC1 so far.
the RC1 fingerlock would stop working if you unselected usb debugging and you would be totally locked out unless you rewiped. It also would constantly random reboot as well as reboot on incoming calls.
The latest nightly so far fixed all that. Yeah I wish there was a newer official release but i guess they are going to CM9 now. But like the e07015 said, moto has not released the drivers and kernels for ics so there wont be any official CM9 release anytime soon. :/
I'm fine with cm7 if it stays stable, crossing my finger. Its WAYYYYY faster and better than motoblurSUCK!

ICS, we hardly knew ye.
Builds for CyanogenMod 9 stable will be rolling out to our servers tonight. As noted before, this will be the end of the line for the ICS branch of our code; only critical bug fixes will be merged moving forward.
As a note, the maguro build from this morning was not meant to be linked publicly. Maguro’s build this evening will be marked 9.0.0.1 to be on par with the other 9.0.0 releases.
Tonight’s release is for the majority of our ICS supported devices, the stragglers will catch up, and we will leave the door open for merging in additional devices from maintainers, external and internal. The team itself, will focus solely on Jelly Bean and maintenance of the CM 7 codebase.
Many have wondered why we bothered to finish CM 9 when we are already active in CM 10 development. To that, our answer is: we don’t like to leave things incomplete. There is no profit gained from what we do, so the satisfaction of completing a goal is our only reward. This release also serves as a release suitable for the masses, especially those who won’t have 100% functioning releases of CM 10 immediately or are averse to anything branded as ‘preview’, ‘alpha’, ‘beta’ or ‘nightly’.
On the topic of nightlies, this release also serves as an end to our CM 9 nightlies, to make way for nightlies chock full of Jelly Bean goodness. A follow-up post will be made when we enable those builds.
Smh. And this in development why?

JB nightlies start today !!
Okay...I may have missed a post or two....but I am just wondering why CM9 and AOKP have both been discontinued before a stable release of CM10...
it seems kind of unusual to do stuff like that...i dunno, i'm not trying to say you guys aren't doing things right or anything...i'm just confused...
Cm9 is not discontinued.
Eyeballer's nightlies are still active.
Only some other projects stopped.
Cm10 sure still need a lot of time till it gets stable.

Sam's build was just that...a build. He had it automated to sync up source, build, and provide to everyone. Eyeballer's build are still going I believe, and you can always learn to build from source. There is still code being submitted for ICS as well as JB.
gracias you guys...
like i said, i missed a couple posts and it was merely a wandering thought that i could not find an answer to...so thank you

I have been using cm-10-20121218-NIGHTLY-iyokan.zip and all the upper versions except the latest 20121221 and 20121222... They were stable and great for daily use but it had a lot of bugs... and they have been releasing a new rom everyday since then so i thought I might for a while until we actually get a stable one...
There were no major bugs... just small ones... like low in-call volume and stuff which is probably fixed in the latest version...
Do we have a list of what's not working and other known issues?
I might give it a try over the weekend.

How is this work related to the work done by team FXP (discussed at this thread)? Is this the same build?
Or is it different?
I thought FXP was the official maintainer of CM for these devices; why is there on official, non-FXP build @ CM,
and a different, FXP build elsewhere?
Could someone please explain?
Thank you:
I guess M66B answered it in the PRO CM10 thread. It is work of the FXP team.
