Hi,
I have a "strange?" kernel on my I9000 , its I9000BUJV3 , i cant find any rooting guide for this one, you guys can help?
Thanks!
Hi
did you try to flash any other stock firmware ?
Well, i'm a bit of a noob in such things..
Can you explain? Its the official firmware from KIES
Baseband is I9000BUJV3
Kernel is : I9000BUJV9
It looks like that is a Vodaphone branded firmware.
Looks like Vodafone
Yes it is
But how to flash it?
With odin. Download a stock rom and flash it. There are plenty of treaths over flashing.

No you don't have to flash both when you flash a complete firmware.
A baseband flash is just a flash without the system.sin and userdata.sin
Thanks! I just used Seus to go back to original settings and have rooted with x10 flashtool but how do I flash the firmware?
Again, thanks for putting up with Noob (I'm guessing xrecovery???)
Yup sucks being a noob.... I do it through flashtool... figured it out now sorry!
any test 65? i have bucle reboot
Just wondering. is x10i_2.1.1.A.0.28 the latest ROM and will it work with my X10i Rogers (Canada) smartphone?
Yes, it will work.
Every X10i/a ROM works on any X10i/a. The i or a doesn't matter.

Hi everybody!
As you can see, I'm new to this forum. I apologize in advance if my english is bad, I'll try to explain my doubt.
My question is the following:
I have this tab from a week or so, already rooted, with CWM and Mobile Odin. The stock firmware is TGY, so it's of Hong Kong.
Is it possible to flash with Mobile Odin a european firmware on the device or this will cause problems to the tab?
I've searched for this in the forum already, maybe I have not used the right key words, but I haven't found the answer to this.
Thanks in advance!

Just read my sticky thread -> post 5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21930173 there is also a short history
But basically you can flash every official released Firmware for this device.

Ok, so from what I've read, if I want to completely change the csc I have to flash the firmware with the csc I want and then enter recovery after a factory reset. It should automatically starts an update and it will ask me to confirm to change the csc into the one of the flashed firmware.
If I don't mind of Kies (which is my case ), I just flash the european firmware over the one I have now. I've read that you wanted to change your csc in ATO and at the beginning you simply flashed the austrian firmware over the TGY one and apart for the Kies autentication problem, you didn't have any other troubles.
Correct me if I am wrong, anyway I've thanked you for your reply. I ask you this because I know the basics for flashing and so, but I still consider me a newbie and I don't want to brick my beloved device with wrong country firmwares.

Thanks again for your kindness and for being so clear! ^^

Wrong section, this should be in Q&A.
Anyway, the problem is that the phone seems to have been rooted or another firmware seems to have been flashed to it. You can download the latest firmware from Samfirmware.com and then flash it through Odin (Many guides available online and on YouTube). That'll help your phone get to the latest updated firmware.

Sorry, I don't think flashing the bootloader will fix the problem and I'm not sure the modem has the csc information.
