[Q] Azdian RTL Patch (arabic, hebrew, persian,...) - Kindle Fire General

Does the patch work on kindle fire 6.2.2? Is there anything different about the process? Thanks

Even though no one answered me back, I went ahead and did the process and it worked. So for the record the RTL patch works on KF 6.2.2.

Adobe Air 3.1 on KF

I want to install the latest version of adobe air (3.1) Since I need it for an app here in Belgium. But whenever I want to install it I get an error message, even after manually removing it with titanium backup. Somebody ready to offer assistance?
PS: my KF is fully rooted, of course!
Nobody ever tried to install Adobe Air 3.1 on the KF yet?
Yes, actually, I've been trying today, because I want to get SharePlus on my KF. It will not install. Check out this link:

(Been using this site for years, but I haven't posted much, so I can't actually post the link properly.)
I'm currently researching and debating installing an ICS ROM. I am trying to find out if the OS version is the problem, or if it won't work on this hardware.

firmware for 3rd gen HDX 8.9

I have this Fire HDX 8.9 3rd gen https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BYHTK5Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I recently tried to start Optimum app for tv viewing and it claims it no longer works on my OS version and doesn't provide any other information. I have Fire OS 4.5.2 from December 13, 2014. It was rooted previously with TWRP, but I haven't done anything since then. I think I need to get to 5, but does the 3rd gen HD 8 work or support it? Any recommendations on firmware?
edit
I see that's there's other Kindle forums, but the server keeps timing out on me trying to list them.

Looks like your device doesn't support Fire OS v5
Since you have TWRP, you can flash one of many ROMs (up to Nougat) found here:

To block OTA Updates
Can you simply move the DeviceSoftwareOTA, SystemUpdatesUI, DeviceSoftwareOTAContracts and DeviceSoftwareOTAIdleOverride folder in /system/priv-app/ directory to /storage/emulated/0/ internal storage directory.
Or, can you delete the system app folder, DeviceSoftwareOTA, SystemUpdatesUI, DeviceSoftwareOTAContracts and DeviceSoftwareOTAIdleOverride permanently.

See Post 993. Yes it is possible...

" confirm that I managed to root my Fire HD 10, 7th Gen, 5.6.4.0 636559920 (automatically installed Dec 12th), and install TWRP & Magisk.
The intentional bricking made me also nervous, but if you follow the steps, it works."

Root 5.6.6.0 Fire HD8 7th Gen.

Hi everyone,
I own a 2017 Fire HD8, 7th generation, FireOs 5.6.6.0 and Android Version 5.1.1
A few weeks ago i’ve started to reed XDA to learn how to root my device (FireOS was 5.3.7.0 by the time).
Yesterday, my device did an automatic update (even though i’ve disbabled automatic updates with the Fire Toolbox v7.1) and it has updated my OS version to 5.6.6.0.
Maybe Amazon knew i was looking to root my device
Now on, is there a possibility to root my devices with the 5.6.6.0 FireOS?
Thanks all in advance for your help,
Have a nice day!

Yes, you can still root your device.
Follow this thread. Looks at post 377 for the steps to follow. You will need to download amonet-douglas-v1.2.zip and brick-douglas.zip
FYI - As of June 7, 2021 I unlocked/rooted my FireHD 8 (2017) from firmware version 5.6.7.0 following this post with only minor deviation (you need to disable modem, "sudo systemctl stop ModemManager" and "sudo systemctl disable ModemManager" before running one of the scripts)

I initially tried using WSL in windows, but ADB has lots of issues with that, I suggest you run a VM with linux to perform all of the steps, wasn't too bad.

Need help to update/flash firmware on Fire HD 8

Hi there.
I have an Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018, 8th generation).
I got everything to install the LineageOS, but my problem is, that the Fire HD has a newer firmware (6.3.1.5).
I have found the right firmware (update-kindle-Fire_HD8_8th_Gen-NS6312_user_1852_0002517056644) but I am not able to flash the firmware...
I dont know how to flash it with "adb sideload" correctly.
Pleeease, can anyone help me...?
I would even give a tip to the one who can help me to install the LineageOS on my HD8.... it makes me crazy that I cant do it on my own... :crying:
Best regards to all and have a nice day/weekend.
I had the same firmware and managed to install lineage 16, but the only method that i know of involves separating the screen and motherboard from the rear cover. This would invalidate any warranty and could trash your tablet.
