I was transfering some filess to my SD card but then I accidentaly pulled it out of my computer. I then had to format it and It started to work after I formatted it and then transfered the files I had on my computer to SD. Then I insterted it to my phone and it didnt want to mount. I then formatted it again and it worked for some time (1 minute) but then stopped working again. I then formatted it again and it phone showed 00 storgae avaivible and total. I then tried it on my comupetr and it was working fine so I rebooted phone into recovery insterted SD card into phone and it mounted fine in recovery so i installed Honor based ROM for U8800 on it and it finished fine but when I powered it up it said that SD is damaged. I then rebooted into recovery and SD wasnt working again.
Is my SD card permanently damaged or is there anything I can do?
I had CM7 installed before I installed Honor based ROM.
You can try read & write and test for bad sectors with a program, like HD Tune.
Pull off a sd card while writting can create permanent damage.
Test the card to know is state.

k so after trying to flash a new rom(aloysuis) i hung on the black htc screen. i abondoned that card, inserted my old, reflashed fixxxed on there and its fine. i put my other sd card in that wouldnt work, formatted and copied the working card contents back on it. running fixxxedsense my phone upon loading says "sd card removed, Insert a new one. plug it in and it doesnt give me an option to mount, but when im in recovery mode it lets me mount and see all the contents i put on there. Did i ruin my sd card r is there a problem with the partitions maybe?
After rebooting the NT this morning the sd card was apparently not mounted automatically. It was inserted in the NT and was working correctly before the reboot. My NT is rooted.
If I remove and re-insert the sd card it does mount and work normally until the next reboot.
I backed up all of the sd card data and then erased & formatted the sd card with the NT. That did not help.
Any ideas on how to get the sd card to mount automatically after reboot?
Thanks!
My bad...wrong forum.
You know this room is NC room, right?
Hey guys so I tried installing Icecream Tosti's ICS rom v0.6 but it after booting up I saw that the previous version (o.5) was still on the the phone and all my settings and stuff were still there. I had done a fresh install and was confused. So I tried again but it didn't work and when I tried formatting my sd card it wouldn't let me.
I have tried many different tools: Mini tool partition manager, easeus partition manager, hp sd card utility, panasonic sd card formatter, and windows disk management but I kept on getting the errors, can't format. I plugged in the sd card into the computer via a sd card reader and a usb sd reader and even tried different computers but the same error popped up.
Just recently I booted into the rom and plugged in the phone through the usb cable. When I formatted using some of the tools above it showed me the format process was completed, but when I unplugged the phone and rebooted the phone the sd card reverted back to its original state and the sd card was not erased.
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it? or is my sd card completely gone. I feel like it is just locked and write protected but I don't know how to unlock it since there is no switch on the side. I will really appreciate. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
My Sandisk Ultra 32GB microsd card is not getting mounted on my Moto X Play from yesterday on. It was working perfectly before that.
Problem in Detail: Yesterday when i tried to play some music only I realized that its not getting mounted. I tried removing the card and reinserting it. But it's not showing up any notification. When I went to 'Storage and USB' settings suddenly after reboot, its showing 'Unsupported' for a minute and is getting unmounted automatically.
Possible Cause: One of my friend connected my phone with USB cable to his laptop day before yesterday for transferring data. I dunno exactly whether its infected or he didn't eject it properly.
What all I Tried: Initially, I tried connecting it to my laptop using Card Reader. Fortunately, everything was fine inside the system. The file system FAT32, all the data it had, and no memory was unallocated. Afterwards I did a quick format and a complete format as well, with file system FAT32. Both didn't help anyway. Then I installed mini tool partition wizard. But haven't done anything with that yet.
Kindly help me with this ASAP.
Can you use your SD card with the phone ?I have the same problem - my sd card is not recognized by my MXP. There was some speculation that the SD card slot is not working properly or just damaged however all SD cards I have are working fine just nor with my phone. As of today there seems to be no fix to this bug.

I have tried this SD card in my friend's phone and it is working fine.
Afterwards, tried formatting the card from that phone, my laptop, (quick & complete with different names) and the tool "sd card formatter" (erased everytihng).
I even tried a factory reset of my phone.
Nothing helps. Really frustrated
try the slow format sd card option from pc...
I have a samsung 256GB Evo card, and i just installed a new rom this rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/rom-natf-1-00-test-5-debloated-stock-t3509750
So i seen the little sd icon and i tap on it and it said my sd card is corrupted and needs to be formated. so i put into my computer and copied all the data before i wiped. I formated the SD on windows for extfat and put the card into my v20 and boot it up and i got the same error message. so i went ahead and formatted it using the phone. Plugged the card back into my computer and it shows it was formatted in fat32 format. which is strange. anyway i reformatted it again in windows and put the card back in the phone and got the same thing.
Anyone using this card or phone can verify if your v20 formats the card in fat32 format and let me know. if not anyway to fix it?
