how to know if my artemis is CID locked or not ?

I bought it in a computer center and separately choosed an operator (Bouyguestel) to work with.
I have no SIM from any other operator to check if i can access to the network. (or i have to ask a friend for it tomorow !)
Is it possible to know that by only entering my IMEI in a specialised website ?
I want to flash my P3300 with WM6 and the latest ROMs.

CID and Network are totally different things. Your device might be SIM unlocked but CID locked and vice versa. If your device is SIM locked. You have to pay some money to unlock it. If it is SIM unlocked but CID locked, it does not matter. You can put any ROM on your device as long as it is alive.

As far as I know a device is ALWAYS CID Locked until you unlock it! and with the Artemis, the only way to do this is to pay some money to www.imei-check.co.uk so as long as you did not pay them to unlock the device it is CID-LOCKED.

So i just can update my OS Rom, but if i don't want to crash my artemis, i should unlock its CID before radio or other Rom update.

Sim unlock for hw6915

Hi,
I am trying to unlock my hw6915 locked to Cingular. I couldn't get unlock code by IMEI, so trying to do it using some software. Is there any tool I could use?
I found the following information:
yo need a coocked rom (unlocked)for:
hw6910/20/50/60
hw6915/25/55/65
Does anyone have such unlocked rom and could share it?

How to find out if the Arte is CID unlocked

Hi guys,
I'm a newbie. I purchased a XDA Orbit and want to know if the orbit is CID unlocked?
If the CID is unlocked, does that mean it will accept any other sim cards?
If my Orbit is unlocked does that mean I can put a new ROM on it?

When the device boots, see if SPL number is 1.11.0000.
If it is like that, then it's CID unlock.

Hi there, I'am really new here,...just unlock my cid & the programmed indicated that it has been uncocked succesfully,....but the SPL during rebooting is 3.07.0000 so is my cid lock or unlock,.....pls advice....b4 I start flashing the rom.
