Hello, since gingerbread update, i have problem with attaching file on my tab. When i choice to attach file from gmail, it offer me to attach files from Gallery or Music, and i would like to attach from My Files. If someone could help me with this. Thanks in advice
Anyone please, why i cant choice files i want i could only choice between music and gallery?

Your best way is first go to file in my files and use send to
I have only done this so not to sure if there is another way.
Yes, i used could choice my files beforw, but now i can only do way you describe, but if i need to attach another file, i cant, and i need it so much.
I hope someone can help me.

You can multiple select your files to send with your folder and its much easier.
Think this is more of an issue with gmail then with this version.
No.. actually and when i go to any web site and i want to upload my CV, i can just upload music and gallery. aaaargh i hope once ill find solution

I was reading up on gmail and its an issue there with the app.
But have you tried another browser like opera?
Battery almost gone on this so can't test but worth a shot

yea, same with Dolphin browser. My gmail app do the same as browsers. So annoying, i really need this sometime.

Only work around is drop box or box and set up folder and share I know it is pain but nit unless you request in gmail forum itself can't think of any other way.
I also use k9 email client so don't have this issue so use gmail as pop and let k9 manage it

Hopefully this is a short lived thread. I couldn't find anywhere else more appropriate to post this, if there is somewhere please enlighten me. I'd appreciate it if someone would post a download of the 'notes' widget, since I can't download it from the usual method! I looked all over the inter-web and no one has ever posted a link to it (unsurprisingly) so this is a joyous occasion for the few of us that can't download it from htc directly. Gracias!

If you go Add > Widget, then select the option shown at the top of lot of the list of Widgets (Get more HTC Widgets). Download and install the one titled 'Notes'. Then simply add the widget to the relevant screen.
Also, 3 banana (found via Marketplace) have a good note taking app that has a nice widget, and it has a lot more features not available in the HTC notes widget.

Well, thats not an option actually. I'm running a hacked desire rom on the nexus. so far, widgets cannot download. anybody want to post one?

Since it probably doesn't have an install script, I reckon you'd have to bake it into the rom and reflash..
or perhaps try pasting it into the system/app folder and rebot.
Sorry to hear that. It wasn't in /system/app though... I found it in /data/app/ IIRC (hope this helps)

sounds about right. Thats an area I know nothing about. Its a bummer! I tried pasting it all over the place to no avail. Thanks anyway guys. Paul will have to bake the damn thing into his next build!

I just updated my arc. Here are the changes I see:
1) Hotmail ActiveSync has been fixed. It now works with the native email app. Finally I have a unified Hotmail/Gmail inbox. However, its not perfect. No HTML mail support :'(
2) Facebook status in contact page under the name
3) Facebook photos and albums under a photos page after openning a contact.
4) Facebook calendar sync with Calendar app.
5) Every one of your facebook albums are now in your andriod gallery application.
6) There is a new page called interests that show all the facebook groups a contact has joined.
7) Locked home screen shows summary of SMS notification. This looks new to me.
8) Sometimes when scrolling the screen would register a tap when I meant to scroll (this happenned frequently). They seem to have tweaked the sensitivity and it appears better. Or maybe I am imagining it.
9) Generally faster scrolling. Again maybe I am imagining but it does appear smoother.
10) Photos look better. 8/6mp files don't seem any bigger than before so they probably tweaked sharpening settings or something else.
Coming from a WP7 phone (LG Optimus 7) the FB integration seems almost as deep in andriod on the Arc now...

I did a search and found the files at:
D:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs
Where should I post them? they are about 170mb and 20mb.

put them together in a folder, and zip them or rar them, and upload them to megaupload and post the link

when i download images from gmail and then click on them to open i receive a black screen which looks like the image can't be loaded (we are talking about a regular pictuers JPG or PNG).
I tried to clear cache but it still doesn't work Wifi or 3G.

I've never meet that peoblem...May be you can try other picture app instead of the default.Do you use the stock rom or other,for example, CM,AOKP and etc?Change the rom may be useful

There is no way to change the app since it opens from gmail itself.
I don't want to change the rom as the user of this phone is not advance one (not me).

Is it useful to update gmail app to the lasted version for you?If not,may problm exsit in Rom.Don't want to flash another rom,use Chrome to download picture or through the stock Exchang email app replace gmail app.Hope my advice can help you more or less.Or you can send specific information including Rom version，screenshot and etc to my [email protected],try my best to make it.
I can view .jpg fine but PNG is always shows up black for me. I thought that's how gmail android works?

Hey all
I know quite a few people are unhappy about not seeing the People Widget on the new HTC 10, so I decided to extract the APK from my old M8 and installed it on the HTC 10.
For anyone else who is interested it getting the People Widget back, here is it.
It's been uploaded to my Google Drive, but if anyone can recommend a better place to upload it, I'll happily make it available for everyone.

I've just installed HTC gallery ap from M8 and it works fine.
Just backup'ed apk with ES file explorer, transferred with Bluetooth and installed.
I miss the old HTC weather widget that would have animations on the main screen. gimmiky yes. but hell it looked great!

No, not all of them.
I actually found many of them. So I've now ported over Wi-Fi widget, BT widget, Sync All widget, contacts widget, HTC Internet Browser and HTC Sense Input keyboard. Thanks!

Really? The HTC gallery app only provides viewing photos but does not save after editing... Very sad! I had to give up your favorite applications

It does save them, but they have to be on internal storage.

Is your M8 rooted ?
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe only rooted phones can get to the location of the APK files.

I had to create a new account just to say thank you so much for this! I have been looking for this for a while. Really gutted/angry HTC got rid of alot of useful and helpful widgets. Has anyone got the HTC music player to work? The the mobile data widget?

I have the HTC Music widget installed and working - don't remember where I got it(!), but this site might have it: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/htc-corporation/.

I tried extracting the HTC Music app and successfully installed it onto the HTC10, but every time I launched it, it would crash.
That is the reason why I didn't upload the file here.
The Google Play app takes a bit of getting use to, and you have to really stay on top of your MP3 ID3 tags, but once you get use to it, it isn't so bad.
Only wish it had the ability to sort by folder, but the HTC Music app didn't have that ability either

This one might be worth try: Fulmics HTC Sense apps.

I don't really use the HTC Music app much; for most music listening I use Neutron. For audio courses and other talk stuff I tend to use MX Player Pro or VLC, depending on suitable features (playlists, resume, etc).

Hi. I have a question about transferring files using the FILEDASH option built into the phone. When I go to the site, I pop up that "Receiving files from OnePlus 6T. If your browser does not support downloading, try to use another one." Of course, I can download any file, but having 100 of them I would have to click each download icon separately and it's terribly tiring. I will add that I tried Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Do you know any program for this? Possibly which browser will not have this problem? Thank you very much.
