How to Sync All your Google Calendar to your Android Phone - Galaxy S II General

Usually when you sync your events in the google calendar to your android, ONLY the last 30 events would show up. After all the researches and experiments that I did. I finally come up with a solution to the problem.
1. In P.C. edit the existing events from the oldest to the latest events in google calendar. You don't need to edit each event completely, it would also work by just putting punctuation marks in the tittle of the event or adding text to "where, description" box.
2. Sync it to the phone (Check if the edited events appeared).
3. Export P.C. google calendar (close google calendar then open it again, wait several seconds).
4. Delete all calendar entrees make sure that the file you downloaded is not corrupted, *.ics inside(close google calendar then, wait several seconds).
5. Create a new event.
6. Turn-off then on your phone.
7. Sync your phone calendar (goto system settings-> Account & sync-> press on sync Calendar), in you phone you will see 1 latest event.
8. Now, Import the *.ics file, that was exported from step 3
9. repeat step 7.
Done! All your events is now sync to your phone.

I've always had everything synced perfectly, 5 Google Calendars and everything is synced until at least 2014...

did it
It works!
thank you very much

That was sound. Thanks.

THANKS!!!
I have the Droid Razr and ive been looking for a solution for the past 4 months.
The only thing extra I had to do was between steps 4 and 5, I had to "Clear Data" in the Calendar Storage App on my phone.
THANKS AGAIN!!!!

A simple way
Absolutely Amazing!!!
After days looking for a solution for this stupid error on Android to sync with Android's father (Google) I finally found something really helpfull.
The instruction was very nice, but I did it through a very simple way (with your tips, of course!).
1. I set my cellphone (SIII) to a older date, as 01/2005;
2. I put punctuation in all my calendar entries;
3. Just sync your calendar;
4. Set automatic date and time;
5. Sync again.
One more time. Nothing without your help. Thanks a lot!!

Thanks .good guide.I already worked this out accidentally
Sent from my GT-I9100

Thanks, been wondering about this.

how to sync all of Google calendar to your android
i found a real simple way. Just down load clear sync from the play store. It not only allow my calendar on my phone but my tablet and my other phone calendars to all up date and get all my past years of information from Google calendar.

Activesync missing contacts Wizard/i-mate k-jam

Hi
I am having an issue that I need some help with. I am trying to set up a second hand K-Jam that I bought on eBay.
Problem:
Activesync appears to work fine and everything seems to synchronize except for any contacts that have contact notes.
New contacts created on the PC with text in the notes field do not synchronize.
New contacts created on either device with nothing in the Notes field synchronize fine.
New contacts created on the K-Jam with text in the notes field synchronize back to the PC fine.
If a contact has had a note in it, if the note is cleared by deleting all text and saving, the contact is still not synchronized.
Operating Systems and programs:
ActiveSync 4.1 installed from scratch
K-Jam ROM 2.16..
Windows Mobile 5.0
What I have tried:
-Hard resetting the K-Jam
-Repairing Outlook 2003
-Running a repair on the PST file
-Removing the Mobile Device profile from ActiveSync and allowing it to recreate the synchronization relationship.
-Copying the contacts out to a different folder, syncing; copying them back
-Exporting the contacts to a CSV file, all other items to another PST. Creating a new PST file, replacing the default Outlook PST and importing all of the OK data. Then importing the contacts from the CSV file (when I first started troubledhooting, I had a subset of contacts that would sync. After doing the CSV import, no contacts would sync - I guess that the CSV import puts something into the contact notes field. New contacts still sync as explained above)
-Synchronizing only Contacts
Other:
I have loads of the following error messages in the WCESLog.log:
03/11/2006 14:06:56.156 p(2936) t(3308) SyncMgr -> Opening Item: echo CreateObject("Outlook.Application").GetNameSpace("MAPI").GetItemFromId("000000006F78E8A9F1B1BF4A9150F98C632AB565A4572200").Display > foo.vbs && foo.vbs - mhelp.cpp(8575)

I suspect that there is some sort of data conversion problem but do not know where to look next.
Any advice will be appreciated.
AS not syncing Calendar, Task or Contact notes PC->PPC
I have found that this problem affects Calendar, Task and Contact items. If I add a simple entry (with no Note) on the PC, it syncs to the PPC fine. If I then add a Note, the changes are not synced. If I add a Note at the same time as the item is created, it is not synced at all. Notes that are created on the PPC are synced back to the PC fine.
Soln: Missing appointments/tasks/contacts containing notes.
I have finally fixed this issue after 3 days of mucking about!!! My phone is syncing all items fine now... I stumbled on the solution in a forum for other software, but it seems to apply to WM5, AS 4.1 and Outlook 2003 too!
As per http://www.sbsh.net/forums/lofiversion/index.php?t8892.html, reregister ole32.dll using:
1. Click Start, click Run, type the following command in the Open box, and then click OK:
Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll
2. In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK.
3. Reboot computer.
4. Create an appointment in Outlook with notes attached and see if it syncs with Outlook.
The applicable text from the source article is:
The library file ole2.dll, is required by windows and is used when performing OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) operations . OLE allows objects created in one application to be embedded in documents/objects created by a different applications e.g. embedding an Excel spreadsheet inside a Word document. OLE is used fairly extensively in windows applications, so if possible you should not remove this file.
If this file is not registered well, it causes a variety of problems with synchronisation. Appointments and tasks with additional notes do not sync, contacts with additional notes or a picture ID do not sync and other programs like SmartphoneNotes can not sync. I found out that a MS security update in december or the beginning of this year also involved an issue with ole32.dll. Because of this something might have gone wrong with the registration of this file in Windows causing all sorts of problems relating to ActiveSync. (Re)registering this file can solve those problems as it did on my system. Since it´s a Windows file that has to be registered anyway, it can´t harm doing it again hoping it solves the problems experienced.
I love you man
I'm having this exact problem (WM6, courtesy of mfrazz, on Wizard) but the above solution didn't solve my problem. Is there a more recent fix I should try?
I love you too.
New stuff now fine, but I have to add a character to all old calendar notes on WM5 to get them to show up in Outlook.
Also glad you posted here because the original article link doesn't work....
You are god man, thanks a lot. Just bought the new Samsung i780 and experiencing this sync issue right out of the box after a pretty flawless experience with a Palm Treo 650 for almost four years was really frustrating. Thanks again.
Thanks a Lot!!.......Great Post....
Just a quick note to say well done to GQ. I have spent almost 7 hours troubleshooting this issue (1 way sync from PC to PocketPc but the other way is fine). Weirdly enough syncing with a spare Smartphone was totally unaffected.
I did everything, Removed\reinstalled AS, Created dedicated inbound\outbound rules for AS in Macaffe, Uninstalled AV, Deleted Partnerships on Device & PC, Decreased mailbox size, Created New PST, Downgraded from Office 2007 back to 2003, multiple Hard Resets....... to name but a few!!!....Tried lots of other stuff, manually searching through Registry for WindowsCE related stuff.
Re registered the DLL, Rebooted tested......Superb!.....Works again!
Top Posting gq......Great solution.

I too am having this problem with my Samsung Omnia WM6, and Win XP ActiveSync... I have 22 contacts with pictures that will not load from phone to PC... "The following contacts failed to synchronize from the device" Support Code: 1
Anyone else have a solution to this??? This one is killing me as I want to be able to actively manage contact pictures on my PC and phone, and use OutSync (for facebook pics to outlook contacts).
Hi Chadwicky:
Same problem here with my Omnia and XP SP3 Activsync 4.5. It did resolve a recurring calendar event issue but the contacts with pictures just isn't syncing up :-(
I think you can do this by installing Sim manager software also. It is a .cab extension file.
i love you too man, same here and worked out fine! should have used the search abit earlier, 6, 7 hours or so ;-)
Tks a lot
Need to confirm this issue happen even in Window 7 with the new Window Mobile Data Center (WMDC) and Outlook 2003 (Still not test with Outlook 2007)
Solution is the same in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=903516&postcount=3
Fixed it for me. Been struggling with this for a month, now my contacts and notes all sync properly. I signed up just to say thanks gq.

Calendar items briefly appear then dissappear!

This has just started.
Selecting the HTC Calendar Tab briefly displays Calendar Items and then they quickly dissappear.
The Windows Calendar displays them correctly!
Even when adding a Calendar Item in HTC Calendar on the device, the item displays and quickly dissappears.
For once I can say Windows to the rescue , as these items are displayed correctly in the Windows Calendar.
We have recently moved from Exchange to GMail ... but this was a couple of weeks back when all worked as expected!
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Fixed
Added HTC Calendar to Co0kie's Calendar setting and restarted.
All good now.
Not sure if this was coincidental with a Power Off restart as well.
I did Google this issue and it seems it is reported numerous times!
could you tell me how u did it step by step?
yeah I've fixed it!
I changed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->nls->overrides->SSDte from dd-MM-yy to yy-MM-dd (I changed it because i prefered dd-MM-yy short date format rather than yy-MM-dd which was default) now with yy-MM-dd works perfectly

[Q] Vibrant erases Google Calendar entries. Help?

I need some help. I've had my phone for almost 2 weeks. Beginning a couple of days ago, my phone is erasing google calendar entries.
What's particularly strange is that when I enter google calendar entries into the phone, the entries sync with my google account. The entries remain visible on the google account, but are not visible on the phone.
If I enter the calendar entry on google directly, it will appear and remain on my phone. So the problem is strictly with google calendar entries entered on the phone. They sync and then disappear.
I'm having this problem as well, but only for one of my secondary google calendars. Very frustrating. I'm thinking that using stock calendar might fix this...
FYI I just took a look at mine... calendar entries created on the web but edited on the phone do not seem to be affected. Can you confirm?
I too am having a similar problem (I use Google Calendar on the desktop, and my Vibrant calendar is synced to Gcal as well). I haven't had time to test out all the permutations, but the basic issue is: when I "Edit" a repeating event on the phone, and then hit "Save," the event disappears instantly (from both the phone's calendar and desktop Gcal). It doesn't matter whether I actually made any changes while editing -- it's just the Edit and Save that does it.
Once or twice, the event has magically reappeared a little while later -- but generally it does not.
I have also had the opposite thing happen: I've edited a repeating event and ended up with a DUPLICATE event (also repeating) on the calendar -- same event, same details, just one day earlier than the "real" event (which is still there).
Don't know if this detail is significant (again, I haven't tested rigorously), but it has been YEARLY repeating events (birthdays) which have been duplicated, and MONTHLY repeating events which have been deleted.
The only "solution" I've arrived at is to only edit events (or at least repeating ones) from the desktop, and not the phone (...and hope this bug is fixed in an update?).
(By the way, all my events have been created on desktop Gcal directly; so I can't speak to how creating events on the phone may play into this.)
One thing that's actually worked for me is to rename the calendar my phone kicks out. I've found that when I do that, things magically reappear. Currently, I'm on #4.

Interesting, thanks -- can you elaborate? (I went to Calendar settings, but can't figure out how to change names -- there's just "My Calendar," which I don't use, and the Google calendar.)
Yup -- I actually changed the name in the desktop/web client, not on the phone. It took a bit for the updated calendar to push to the phone, but once it did, everything was peachy again.

tried this and no fixy...
Does anyone else have the same problem I'm having? You "Edit" a repeating Gcal event on the phone, and it just disappears (from both phone and desktop) when you hit Save? (Even if you made no changes?)
I'm sure everyone's probably aware of this, but you never know (it took me a week to figure it out)...
The Samsung Calendar defaults to "My Calendar" and not your Google Calendar like every other Android phone, so that any new event created is created in "My Calendar" unless you select to create the event in your Google calendar every single time you make a new event. This can not be changed and is the case EVEN IF THE CALENDAR IS SET TO NOT DISPLAY "MY CALENDAR." (which is, possibly, the worst case of software design I can think of in recent memory).
There is an easy fix for this: use pretty much any other of the many free or inexpensive calendar apps. The Samsung Calendar blows. And this is coming froma guy that generally likes most of the other Touchwiz stuff.
I assume other calendar apps will sync easy with Gcal (it's just ActiveSync, right)? Any in particular you recommend? Thanx
I've been using Gemini Calendar for a few weeks. Takes some getting used to and it kinda ugly, but it's got plenty of customizations.

HTC suddenly doesn't sync Outlook calendar?!

HTC sync suddenly started creating duplicates in the phone calendar (there were no duplicates in Outlook). So, I deleted the Calendar Storage on the phone, planning to resynchronize the calendar from Outlook.
But, now, HTC Sync suddenly won't synchronize any of my events, the calendar on the phone is completely empty. It says that it's synchronizing, but it just doesn't. WHAT THE HECK?
HTC sync has never worked terribly well, but I'm getting tired of this piece of GARBAGE.
Update: I think solved the problem. I deleted the phone profile, recreated it and it seems to sync now (my calendar data is back on my phone, anyway).
HTC Sync doesn't include a built-in way to delete a phone profile, so to delete it manually:
1. close HTC Sync if it's running
2. delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\HTC (on Vista or Win7, it's C:\Users...)
3. Start HTC sync, re-establish the connection to your phone and synchronize it
Hopefully this helps someone who is as fed up as I am with the way the phones manage PIM data these days.
Seriously, Microsoft Pocket PC and ActiveSync actually worked very well. Calendar and contact data management and sync is piss-poor on today's phones.

Thanks a lot. Worked for me too.
Win7 path I used: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\HTC
Thanks for the solution.. I was turning nut trying to find out hwat happened... I started to think that my PST was corrupt...
In my case the NON sync was for the contacts folder, I dont use calendar... I followed these instructions and worked like a charm...
Btw, this is also applyable for all HTC models using HTC sync... I own a Sensation.
Thanks!

On my Droid RAZR, the calender was set to show the phone calender. Entries I made on my phone were no longer synching to google calender. I had to change the phone settings to only show the google calender. Then manually move my phone entries into google calender. This happened after the update some time in February, but I only noticed recently. It was a pain to go back and find all the entries that were on the phone and not on google. With the phone set to not show the phone calender, my calender entries now do go to the google calender and show up on my other devices and online.
Another issue is that all of my appointments changed times with the Spring daylight savings time taking place. I had to change my Google Calender to use daylight savings time. This didn't fix my phone calender though. Then check that my phone was set to use daylight savings time which it was. Don't know when this change happened as I was an original Droid owner, then bought into the Droid RAZR, and all of a sudden in 2013 my calender changes times on me. Must have something to do with an Android time setting that changed. For now I'm putting the time in the name of the calender entry so I know if Google screws it up later.
One would think that they would triple check that calender entries are not modified by doing a phone software update. I give them -1 star for Jelly Bean updates. Horrible.

[TUTORIAL] Add native iCloud (IMAP, CardDAV, CalDav) support to WP8 GDR2 Devices!!

Hey guys,
I just tossed together a quick tutorial that will allow you to use the built-in IMAP, CalDav, and CardDav support in WP8 GDR2 to sync with Apple's iCloud services! This "hack" should work with any IMAP/CalDAv/CardDav accounts you may have.
*NOTE* For some reason the calendar entries are off by 5 hours (I am in the Eastern Time Zone) when compared between the windows phone and my Apple devices. Also, some ancient recurring entries in a shared calendar don't seem to come in properly for me for some reason. I am guessing the version of CalDAV on Windows Phone does not properly deal with Time Zones.
Instructions inspired by BlackBerry.com http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/...nisa.apps.common.BaseViewedDocsListHelperImpl
1. Go to Settings --> email +accounts --> and click "add an account"
2. Select "Google"
3. When prompted, enter a valid Gmail address and password. (we will fix this later)
4. Wait patiently for the initial sync to finish..(It may take up to 5 mins)
5. Locate the account that you created and tap on it to open the account settings...(It will be called Google, Google 2, etc).
6. Change the "Account Name" to something meaningful (I changed mine to iCloud)
7. Change the email address to the one you use for iCloud. *NOTE* If you don't use iCloud mail, enter a dummy email address here that is different from any other email address already on the device.
8. Set "download new content" to a value that you prefer. (Mine is set to every 15 mins)
9. Set "Download email from" to an appropriate value.
10. in the "content to sync" section, check which iCloud info you want to sync. (Email, Contacts, or Calendar)
11. in the "Your Name" field, enter your name.
12. If you will be using IMAP to sync with iCloud email, change the Incoming email server to "imap.mail.me.com:993", if not skip this step.
13. for the User Name, enter your iCloud user name. (Mine is my apple id because I never made an iCloud email account)
14. for the password enter your password.
15. If you will be using IMAP to sync with iCloud email, change the Outgoing email server to "smtp.mail.me.com:587", if not skip this step.
16. If you will be using IMAP to sync with iCloud email, make sure "Outgoing server requires authentication" is checked, if not skip this step.
17. For the "Contacts server (CardDAV)" enter "contacts.icloud.com".
18. for Calendar server (CalDAV)" enter "caldav.icloud.com".
19. Click the "Check" box to save your settings.
20. Check to see if things are syncing!
*NOTE* If the calendar sync is not working, it may be necessary to change you CalDAV server name to p0#-caldav.icloud.com, where # is represents the numbers 1-9. Example: p05-caldav.icloud.com or p04-caldav.icloud.com). If you don't want to experiment, there are instructions online on how to pull the right server name from Apple's Calendar app.
**EDIT** More Info on Time Zones:
1. When The Windows Phone sends the info about the event to the CalDav Server, the phone tells iCloud the event is in "Eastern Standard Time". (It should be "Eastern Direct Time" bc DST.) When the CalDAV Server correctly sends this data back to the phone, the phone processes as "Eastern Standard Time" and "bumps" the event forward an hour. The phone also doesn't send all the proper TimeZone info back to the server in the ICS file, resulting in a non-editable event in the iCloud calendar. If you Switch the displayed time zone from "Eastern Standard Time" to "Eastern Time" in the iCloud Calendar app, you can edit the event. When it comes back to the phone, it will be off by 4 hours due to the processing bug (see 2)
2. CalDAV entries that are created in iCloud come back to the device with a time zone of "US/Eastern". I am guessing there is a parsing bug in the app so that when it sees the "/", it freaks out, stops processing the TimeZone data contained in the ics file, and leaves the entry as GMT.
A couple of ways that may fix the TimeZone issue with the calendars:
1. Turn on TimeZone Support vial iCloud.com or the Calendar app. Make all your entries in the "Floating" time zone. This forces all calendar entries to be set with the "Real" time on the server and strips out TimeZone calculation.
Thanks! I have a iCloud email that I don't use, but it seems that some people I know still email there, now I don't have to boot up a old iPod touch to check that
The "off by 5 hours" issue is because Windows stores local time, and apparently expects the same; iOS probably stores GMT and applies the offset itself. Or possibly the other way around for the phone; I don't know. Would depend which way it was off.
I figured as much...I know that if you are dual-booting a hackintosh, you have the same issue (with the System Date and Time)...Windows expects the BIOS time to be in local time and Linux/Unix/OSX expects the BIOS time as GMT.
There's a registry flag which supposedly "fixes" this behavior on Windows; it may work on WP8 too. The relevant key is present...
Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation
Value: RealTimeIsUniversal
Data: 1 (DWORD)
Reboot the phone after setting that, and if needed, fix the time (it should fix automatically if it has signal from a tower or GPS). See if that helps.

@GoodDayToDie
I figured out what is going on with the native Calendar app (Thanks, Fiddler!). See my OP for all the info. Do you know if there is a way to report this to Microsoft? Do they Care? I did install the preview build of GDR3 before trying this experiment, so it won't be fixed in GDR3.
Apple iCloud works perfectly now!
Great news! If you use Windows Phone 8.1, there is now a iCloud setting in 'email+accounts'... Easy peasy. Email, calendar and contacts work BUT still has annoying still has time issues with calendar entries!!!
It was the first thing I set up
I'm sure it's *possible* to send a report, but I don't know how to go about it. Um, this sounds kind of silly, but have you tried contacting the WP8 team on social media? Sometimes that works better than one might think. There's also UserVoice (which is more about feature requests, but not a bad place for bug reports if you don't need it fixed urgently).
