Quarx ICS is mostly stable for regular use. I've been using it for a week now. There's no camera support yet though. Other than that it's awesome. Can't wait to get some cash to donate it to him
the camera no work.

Yeah, Quarx ICS is stable.
I don`t use for the moment because when u use 3G network you have a lot of problems with phone calls...
Even the Wireless tether doesn't work on ICS. Changed back to 2.3.7 from cyanogen. Battery backup is awesome and performance is good.
there r many bugs ,and the main problem is that no one know that when the camera will start working

i just got this phone a couple of days ago, and i was just wondering if the phone has stable custom roms and if i install so, can i ever go back to stock again? for official ics release. and Battery life will improve with custom roms right? Thank you!

it is not a matter of stable or not
it matter if everything is working in the custom rom
CM7 has everything working fine but only video recording is not working but could be fixed by using another camera app from the market
as for CM9 (ics ver) iam not sure if everything is working fine. just read the change log and found only camera is not working
As for me i use arc with CM7 and doomlord kernel
overclocked to 1.4ghz
and battery life is very good for me (one charge keep the phone 2 day without using)
CM7 is great. Battery life is heaps better. The only downside is the video recording, everything else is good.
CM9 is still in alpha and probably isn't ready for everyday use. I've had it on my second arc for a day now and I'm getting a lot of force closes.

i'm on miui, but still not sure wich rom is best...
been on cm7 for three months, tested cm9 1 month and now miui for 1 or 2 weeks
Before change telephone, I always used WajkIUI and it' s always been ok, wonderful rom
Nice. .... and from your experience. ... which ROM gives the best battery life ?

I thinks hees talking bout MIUI latest update with some other ICS launcher. .... no ?
I'm using Epsylon3's CM 7.2 build with GB kernel.
About the battery, it sucks with all unofficials ROMs I tried. 100% to 77% in 6 hours (on Standby). I know it could be even worse but...
Ok. ... I haven't tried that version ..... but m on wajkiui .... and it's bloody awesome .... 1% losing every 1.5 hours on standby. .. and with heavy usage. .. whole day with about 15% still left before sleeping )

Great! I tried official CM, unofficial CM and MIUI but battery's performance is much lower than in officials ROM
PS: Yes, I used Battery Calibration.
Kzz .... try wajkiui ..... then see ..... .... btw. ... Cm7.1 wasn't that bad on battery ...

And how's the battery life there ?
I am using walter79's ROM (SBF Flash). Just upgraded my defy + to 2.3.6 from 2.3.4.
Didn't care about the the downgradibility i guess. ..
I'm using cm7.2 RC0 KANG by Maniac... and I'm loving it.
Battery: one or two days with moderate use.
Kz..... think i might try it next ..... what's ur CPU settings ?
WajkIUI and CM7.1
I 've used defy with Cm7.1 - Its great to learn how to toggle features and battery life is superb with plenty of talktime and BT and Wifi ON
But WajkIUI is simply superb - I use 1.12.16 and the response is great, no FC unless one downloads some silly app from the market. Memory management is better and the dialler is great!
So over CM7.1 and WIUI My vote is for WIUI
Could you suggest which ROM is the best and stable for daily use?
In my opinion, CM7!
Very stable and very good battery life!
Try'it!
Sorry for english!
Atrix - "CM7"
If you are looking for a Stable Rom, Rom try TopSmarts GB 1.0 by ItaloSnt, I'm using the four days and still not ancontrei no bug. And excellent battery life. Super fast and stable. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854440
I hope I helped.
Pretty much any Gingerbread rom you install is going to be stable.
The dev's have worked a long time with it and the main difference is features now, not stability
I would say any rom based on cm7. I would recommend topsmarts gb rom also. Been using it for a couple of days and it's noticeably quicker than stock cm7 and has better battery life

Agreed, CM7 hands down. Blur is much slower, and CM9/10 have a lot of issues.
CM10 is my daily ROM right now...

Epinter CM10 09/01/2012 build is solid enough for me. I do not use fingerprint sensor, webtop, car dock thing. I can also solve any issues I might encounter by myself most of the time.
Sorry for bad english!

If you want a blur rom then definetly Nottachtrix
If you want Cm7 then Topsmarts Gb :good:

I must agree with you. For those who do not require camera working 100%, CM10 Epinter and a very good option. Even this and my Rom Backup.

To tell you the truth, my external sd card is only used for Nandroids. I have a backup of all the most recent ROMs. If i know I will need things not available on CM10, I just reboot into TWRP2 recovery and swap ROMs.
CM10 makes your Atrix feel new again.

Most stable rom is CM7. I wouldn't do any of that modded CM7 stuff just regular old CM7 from http://get.cm. CM7 runs great, gets the best benchmarks, run the smoothest, gets the best battery life, and is completely stable. I haven't even had one crash on any app yet and I've been running and installing the latest nightlies for 2 weeks now. I love CM10 but for me I just got tired of the glitches/horrible battery life/overheating/no video camera/stability problems.
Alien ROM version 4

Hi All,
Kinda noobish post but there's lots of different ROMs out there for the Lenovo Ideapad K1 from ICS to JB with CM9 / CM10 & AOSP.
Just wanted to get peoples opinions on which is the most stable? Which offers the greatest functionality?
Which would be best for the average joe user?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
I'm using CM1 with my K1. Any other romes were unstable and something was always crashing. Also I am getting better battery life with CM10

I'm using krook1 CM10 ROM and its very stable and works smooth.. ive also trade khanning88 ICS AOSP ROM and it works smooth as well. I haven't tried the JB AOSP ROM though but last I checked it had problems connecting storage to a computer. Overall I think the cm10 ROM is the best.
Hope this helps, Dev

What issue to you have connecting the tablet to your computer? It should mount up as MTP device and allow you to copy files...

Sorry, I told you wrong. I mixed up ROMs in my head or something. I looked at the forum for the JB AOSP ROM and it says nothing about that problem.

[ROM][JB][AOSP] Lenovo Ideapad K1
I really like Krook1's CWM 6.1 port, but for some reason that I just cannot for the life of me determine, I suddenly lose "Music, video, games, & other media through the speaker, and nothing restores it except a tablet reset and installing AOSP (where it all works). I can then go back to CWM 6.1, but within a day or two I lose sound through speaker again. Funny thing is, I never lose Notification or Alarm sound.
Obviously something is amiss on MY tab, but I sure can't figure it out, so I'm on AOSP...
Hi all
I installed v6 from honeycomb last week on my 3g enabled tablet , its awesome thanks a ton krook.
As far as I tested all are working except 3g.
I can see my 3g network on notification bar only if I turn-on WiFi .
Turning WiFi on caused 3g to stop(I can see on notification ).
I am missing something to turn on 3g ...
I did try v6.1 just now but it didn't help.
Is there any way to turn on 3g other than from settings-> data usage -> mobile data
Thanks again for this ROM . I really enjoying my jelly..

Lenovo K1 clone MEDION LifeTab P9516
The Medion Lifetab P9516 is a K1 clone sold by Aldi in Europe
We, @ w-w-w.avi-plus.com, have patched the very good rom images from Krook1 so that the CM10 JB v6 and V6.1 are running
now with the MEDION ID. Thanks a million to Krook for that outstanding dev.
V6.1 is really a must have. It resolves the SOD screen-of death issue with Wifi OFF when in standby and
the general experience with the tablet is much better : fast scrolling, pictures updated faster, wifi quick connect ...
Last but not least, the wifi thethering is available.

MEDION LT P9516 64Gb 3G.
WHICH ROM
The CM10 seems to be the most stable and fewest missing features. I used khanning AOSP for afew weeks and then swtiched to the cm10 6.1.2 by krook1. Both of these work great.
K1 CM 10 6.1.2
I noticed some distortion in the video presentation on YouTube and also in the game shipwrecked in CM10. Both CM10 version 4.1.2 and JB AOSP run extremely well on a Idea pad K1. This is of course my own observation.

My tablet is a Medion P9516 from germany. Pretty the same hardware as K1.
I'm using krook's cm10 v6.1 too and think it's really good...except the 3g crashes.
But maybe I found a solution for that.
I will post it here when it's more stabe.

Running myMiui 15b3 it takes ages for the phone to charge 7+hrs
I tried the latest (2.6.32)tytung_gb-r16 kernel for Ginger and it improved the recharge speed it took only 2hr,but it broke the wifi.there is an explanation in the thread how to edit a file to fix the wifi issue, but its to complicated.
Pimpmyrom was next but it didnt do much on this issue, selected all the battery tweaks.i really need my battery to charge faster.
Any help is appreciated.Cheers

My answer might be little off topic.. but why don't try tytung JB ROM itself. very stable and usable rom.
i'll try flashing MiUi ROM on my Device and updating kernal. Will let you know any workaround if found
I will be installing it when he releases 4.2 (seems it will be a while see his post in his ics thread)
Cheers for the help.

imagine, if one 2d panorama stitching (eg. photaf) takes 10 to 15 mins on HD2, can u afford to wait around an hour or more till the sphere is stitched? I cant, even if it has a 'stitch later' feature!
(hope they prove me wrong, slim chances i see!)
