Try this app, it might work, otherwise you must install a kernel without bln support, such G3Mod Kernel 2.1 or Kyorakernel 1.0.0. I recommend Kyorakernel 1.0.0.
can it be disable on g3mod 2.2.2 or +...??

Looking for an OC kernel for JI6 thats doesn,t need stock kernel and files to work. Thanks.
Which kernal are you guys using for jvp.
Could you answer the following:
1.quadrant score on third run with and without ext4
2.extra support eg.sharpness fix bln etc?
3.does everything work with it, no bugs?stable?
4.custom rom or stock?
Thanks, need some help making my mind up.
First (everytime such a thread comes up)! Its your decision!!
I recommend Semaphore Kernel which is based on Chainfire's initram.ds and has voodoo sound v9, OC/UV (up to 1.2Ghz) and runs flawlessly on JVH,JVO and JVP (on every ROM/Stock FW)

I also recommed semaphore kernel.
I also recommend semaphore kernel...
my quadrank score on third run with OC to 1.2 Ghz and Ext 4 is 2756
even without any custom kernel, 2.3.4 rocks the quadrant!!
alng with this, u get Voodoo V9

Now I´m going to try semaphore kernel, all the people said this kernel it´s awesome.
I always prefer the stock roms
dark core is pretty nice too, has lagfix, voodoo 9 and everything.
Thanks guys think I will give semaphore a go, so many recommendations. Jvp is a great leap forward in rom development for our galaxy.not sure about overclocking at the moment, feel like I dont need it. btw currently on ramads deodexed jvp with cfroot and juwes ram script.

for now semaphore kernel
Actually stock and supercurio's kernel are the only ones with fixed autobrightness but you have to leave overclock, sharpness fix, voodoo sound etc. With supercurio's you get ext4 lagfix + hacks, this is my choice, waiting for a fixed dark core 2.x.

Hi I recently downloaded kyararom 5.0 Oc version.I actually do not like to mess up with the cpu settings. The thing I wanted to know is that if I flash it with g3mod 2.2 non-oc over it would it function as an non-oc rom or I have to download the non-oc version of kyararom 5.0 and one more question is it necessary to partion my sd card if I install this rom.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated .
Thanks in advance

There is nothing like OC-ROM.........
There is only a thing called OC-Kernel.....
The ROM is called OC version because it uses an OC-kernel.....if you use a non-OC kernel on that then it'll be a non-OC ROM dats it....
Flash any kernel if you want...there is no problem....
Hope You are clear Now...

you can flash non-oc kernel over Kyorarom and it will be non-oc...partitioning sdcard is optional..if you don't you'll have around 95mb internal free...if you do you'll have around 152mb free on internal...
btw: you could ask in Kyorarom threads....and not opening a new thread

I prefer the one that is preinstalled in the rom. 1000MHz CM7 OC Ultra Kernel v1.3 (HV).
that colors fixed on is very old
now try the 7.4.2012 kernel by arakmar
it fixed most of the fimg and camera issues
you can also change the value of opengles version in build.prop to 65537

go to system/build.prop..it's at the.bottom...then mount system r/w..use root explorer...tap & hold on build.prop..select open with...select text editor....then scroll down in build.prop to Additional build properties...then change this line like this:
ro.opengles.version=65537
tap menu&save&exit..done
original build.prop will be backuped as build.prop.bak...
that's it...now your apps will think you're running Opengl v1.1 instead thinking of being running with Opengl v2.0...this way more apps & games are able to run
(thanks to cdesai for explaining what this does & i learned sth usefull again)
