Got the same problem... Opera Mini sometimes gets the download right, but it is unable to use pages that have a countdown, as it doesn't refresh them most of the times...
Then I found out about DownDroid on google, but it just does nothing for me and tells me to go get a Premium Account on Rapidshare, although I am able to manually perform a free download (not waiting time) ... this prog also only works on megaupload and rapidshare, so no solution either...
Anyone?
+1
Like to know what causes this.
Also curious about this. Rapidshare is still the best host in terms of speed for me (Germany)

same problem, no solution so far
Install astro file manager and in preferences tick the option to enable browser downloads. That should fix it for you.
I'm able to download from rapidshare and other sites with the stock browser. JM5, rooted and lagfix. But try the Astro thing, it should work

I'm assuming firefox. Mine does the same thing... Whilst i can search for files I wouldnt have a clue where they are kept. My file browser wont show me the the file's path and no other file browser can find them...
But that's just me. Yeah, what browser are you using?
Data/firefox

Sometimes when I download stuff I know it goes into a file cache and from there I have to either send it to myself through text or email in order to get it to work properly.

I mean this permissions, not for specific sites.
After reset the phone, you should give permission from settings>Application>Internet>Permissions.
Here is video for you
