Hi another noob question from me I'm using clockwork to flash rom's and backup no problem but can I use the rom manger app because I've tried it and wants to install recovery but when the list pops up the hd2 is not there so is it a case of no go on the hd2 or install under another phone model thanks in advance for any help

I selected HTC Desire HD & it works perfectly thus far, all I really do is install from ZIP and backup before hand which saves a lot of time & effort
Once the HD2 is officially supported and what not on the ROM Manager application then I'll purchase it.
If you are using cLK/CWM, you can use ROM Manager to backup and install ROM. MAGLDR/CWM doesn't have this function yet.
Hi All
I have managed to install CLK and placed the ROM onto the SD card and it installs but when I boot into it it stops on the HTC Quietly Brilliant screen. Is there something ive missed.
Hi Tommy.
If its not a clk rom you have to flash an alternative kernel.
Just dl one and flash it via cwm over the rom

I thought i did have one, can you gimme a link to a newer sense version u can reccommend
Ok, I'm wanting to cook my own roms, and also I want to use miui straight from miui without added tweaks. However I hate magldr.
Can someone tell me how to convert a magldr rom to clk?
I know that the difference is the connection type and the boot .img clk uses boot.img where magldr uses a boot folder. I can successfully convert a magldr rom to clk and it will boot, and everything works except the mobile connection to internet via service provider. How do I change connections from rmnet to ppp?
Thanks.

I'm really not a ROM expert, but I remember having read something about clk based ROMs not being able to use ppp at all!? Don't have a reference at hand now, but it was in one of the ICS threads ..
EDIT: Never mind, found it, and it's the other way round, clk not supporting rmnet [3.Jan.2012] (Android 4.0.3) (AOSP ICS ROM for HD2) NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich Beta10 ... the "tips" section .... I'm out of here, sorry

I tried flashing the rmnet to ppp attachment on that thread already. Maybe it does work. I live in the country so maybe I just haven't tested enough

That's the installation .. yes your right. But I'm wanting to build my own rom. This is pre-install like building the program to install and it has to be done two different ways.

I have a registered version of the ROM manager. One of the options clockworkmod touch is available.
Can I install the cwm touch version without breaking the x10i.
cu
No dude, rom manager doesn't support Xperia devices.. Which means it won't work. Check out Doomkernel, it has touch recovery
