[Dev] 2.6.35 Kernel Source Files Released - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

It can be useful.
kernel-2.6.35-U8800-Gingerbread.tar
http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDExMTU=

how about ics???

hmm, too many flood post about ask for kernel source in bbs.huaweidevice.com recent two days, maybe that caused the kernel source released finally.
Android 4.0? currently, NO...

They can't even released stable 2.3 I don't believe they can release ICS anytime soon. Small c says there is no plan for it too.

very good news
@ozgurce bunu ingilizce soramayacağım: bu bizim işimize yarayacak bir şey mi? yüklenecek mi yani?. yoksa sadece geliştiriciler için mi?
---------- Post added at 11:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:00 AM ----------
@lovetide can you translate this:

Translation:
As far as I (Junior C) known, there's no plan to develop ICS4.0 for U8800.
Temporarily, only general version is released, if other versions (which will be business version) based on this general version being shipped in some countries/regions, then they will be released/shared too.
The kernel file of Android 2.3 of U8800 can be released, let me (Junior C) confirm the release time.

Is there a possibility to solve the screen freeze issue on Atmel screens by modifying the kernel?

Here is a mirror (their chinese server is just so slow):
http://www.multiupload.com/C0BUTDV312
Just rename the file to .tar.zip at the end

Oh, thanks for that. Now I can work on the real kernel not the U8800pro one, which had U8800 config on top.

ahhhhh...thx very much...

.32 kernel was good too, no point of making new modifications for this one..it SUCKS. waste of time fixing it. But it would be great to see new kernel who will consume the same amount of battery like .32 did. 1-2% per night.

Can confirm that there is no diff from the u8800pro kernel checked with winmerge.

Put the dload folder on sd card and press vol+, vol- and power the downgrade starts automatically. If pink screen appears, it is wrong
there's no need for that, just backup the phone with cwm

Te mande la guia por mensaje privado xD, hay instrucciones pa respaldar froyo iwal :B, saludos
I can not rooting the device, the following message appears: "Following the device does not have drivers installed" "IDEOS
USB/VID_12D1 & PID_1038 & MI_01 "what should I do?
That's because you have not update the drivers.
You must to go to control panel, then click into device manager and there you check the IDEOS device, right click and click on update, then search manually (Mobile Partner > drivers > select adb_driver) and that's it.
sewa2k I read your "how to" thread on mobilecloseup.com and I have few questions to you:
1. the reboot bug could be fixed?
2. is there any mod more "stable" for the u8800-51 which can supports 2.3?
Thank you in advance, gracias

I can guess that he used stock JB for port. And I think the best way to port it is with Fedved guide (f***ing with smalis ). I tried, but got a lot of errors. I will try with him again, when I get some time for testing.

You're asking a lot I'm not sure but do you have asked that already in some threads..? There is small possibility that we see Lollipop on u8800pro but we just have to wait.
But @Blefish have made great job with u8800 and u8860 so make donation for him? Or even better if you have a spare u8800pro send it to him so he can take a look on it and probably make a Android 5 for u8800pro.

Looks very shady site, links do not work at all and those positive comments on site.. And why the rom is not here in XDA or some other popular site like 4pda? But this made my day: Upgrade/Update Nokia 3310 to 5.0 Lollipop. Looks like a hoax to me.
EDIT: In case if you're wondering what is Nokia 3310 check Wikipedia - Nokia 3310. I owned 3330, it was a good phone.

Ha ha, alarm bells started ringing as soon as I saw this link ,its funny no one has mentioned anything about even starting to develop 5.0 ,then all of a sudden there is a download link to what is an apparently finished (or at least usable) ROM...sure enough when trying said link,we get a 'click on an offer' page before continuing. But I heard, that on u8800 working good and without critical bugs. Seems, u8800pro got stable rom too.
We just have 5.1 in u8800pro
Steps:
1) TWRP last version sourceforge . net/projects/legacyhuawei/files/Recoveries/U8800PRO/
2)BlePart sourceforge . net/p/legacyhuawei/wiki/BlePart-LVM/
3) ROM legacyhuawei . ddns . net/CyanogenModOTA/_builds/u8800pro/
4) Google Apps 5.1 Minimal androidfilehost . com/?fid=95916177934550851
If I understand good, I have to repartitioning the size, through "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP" file on my U8800+.
I flash the TWRP 2.6.0 recovery (through recovery or replace on pink screen will be the same???), flash through new recovery the file "Blepart-LVM-11.ZIP", and restart the phone.
Now I can install the new Lollipop Rom and sequently the Minimal Gapps (If I want).
Is correct???
Second question, Is correct to say that after changed the partition, I no must install any old ROM not based on VLM, but if I want do it, I have to come back to Not VLM, flashing again the file on recovery???

No one wanted to question the authenticity of the blefish's work. Your nickname, blefish's nickname and someone else, are a guarantee on this brand. Our doubts and demands were the procedures for installing and before adopting them wanted to clarify them and make them public as clearly as possible to prevent error and problem to others user.
