I would like to get a 64gb sdxc card for my A500 but before spending almost $200 on it I would like to be able to move apps to the micro SD. I have tried using Link2sd with my 16gb micro SD and all I ever get from it is there's not enough storage and thosmismwithnthe card fresh format and partitioned with fat32 primary and ext2 primary.
Can someone help....

I know this question has been asked and answered so just search .
But don't spend $200 on it, I've seen them on sale for $99. Just keep an eye on the slickdeals forum.
I have had 0 issues with Link2sd once I made both partitions fat32 Primary. I did have some issues in the beginning when I had the second Partition anything other than Fat32.
I tried that as well and still having the issue. May I ask how you are partitioning your card?

Does it even support sdxc cards? The specs only say up to 32gb sdhc.

Are you saying I can't use microSDHC? You said you are using MicroSD for 16 GB, from my reading, the biggest size for MicroSD is 2GB.

So go ahead and buy one. I'm due for an upgrade myself.

Hogwash, I used SanDisk. Really depends on the model of the card not the brand.
@OP, you don't need a goldcard to root your wife's phone. Use the new school rooting guide in my signature.

Thats pretty damn costly, as mentioned why not just add a larger sd card?

16GB is good enough for me, you can always upgrade it with a 64GB (+/-) SD Card
I know people always say put in an SD card, but internal storage is FAR superior to microSD. MicroSD is a great convenience, but I would take large internal capacity over microSD anyday.

It's not just apps. Videos and pictures. Pictures don't take up that much but some of the MKV videos I like to watch take a gig for each one. Thank goodness for microsd.

Videos, music, pictures. Plus to could still put at 64 SD SD card and get 128 GB of storage, excluding what the system uses.

So... should I or should I not buy a 64GB memory card?
Don't really wanna waste $80 on a Class 10 64GB if it'll just die. It's Sandisk btw.

you can buy, i am using this Sd and it is awesome...
$43 for amazon for me
The manual states that 64gb is supported, so it shouldn't be surprising really that it works.
The internal chip is a bi faster writing at about 17mb/sec whereas the Sandisk writes at about 10. Plenty for media storage
Im using mine (sandisk ultra 64g uhsi cl 10) for about 3 days now and its awesome.. fast..i recommend it m8. It was 50 euros for me from ebay

Please take note that sandisk has a lot of imitation cards out there. Some of the imitation looks more like original than the original in terms of packaging quality.
I anyways buy from shops only and verify its original by going to their website on the spot and checking out the look out signs for fake.
Fyi to date I found 3 shops selling imitation cards at original cards price.

I have a 32 GB sandisk Ultra HC1 and have tried everything but keeps unmounting (gets message that says - sd card removed unexpectedly). Sucks so bad and is major pain in the ass, I have also ran a script to use sd card for internal memory but once it goes to sleep i have to resart phone to access it.

My first 32 GB card I put in worked OK until I did a restore that was made before the new bigger card.
I don't know if this is because of the back up being made before or just coincident but the next one I put in I made a new restore right away and so far all is good.
