Actually i was wondering difference in 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 version for android so i looked it up and found a use-full wiki page on what the different versions fixed or did so i wanted to share.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_version_history#v2.3.4

Well, I knew someone would say it before I would. Lol...I actually lawl'd when I saw this a few hours ago.
Why not
I figure why not have everything on XDA instead of searching other places.

Okay, does anyone know what was up with that Einherjar dev team ROM that was supposed to come out a few days back called "insanity"? I saw that a mod closed the thread because it was an announcement not a post. But then they never got around to actually posting the ROM. I heard murmurs of a possible 2.3 ROM from them soon? Wondering if anyone, (especially representatives from the dev team in question) had the inside scoop?
Let the speculation begin.
It was actually called insanity and i was wondering the same thing.

Great minds...
It is just easier to have them in one place like Adryalyne did with the Froyo radios. And it will probably be my one and only thread in this section! lol
Edit - Thanks for the link in your sig!

o no problem man, and your created the best thread yet!!!... everyone is always looking for these and i figured it would be good to put them my sig along with your thread to give you some love around here and more options to find and download them.
I have backups of these everywhere but will say thanks anyhow. Never know when mine will disappear. Why do people always have to be dicks when posts are created just to help? Not like its another question is asked without searching god forbid lol.

Amen. I must have 10 gig of files on my NAS drive cause I never get rid of anything until I need to. It is just helpful for them to be front and center for everyone.
172 downloads and counting. Looks like the timing was right for this.
Now as to the 165 missing thanks... jk lol
Glad this is being used. That is what is important.
I have better results with the MR2 radio rather than the 2.5.
Is anyone else getting the same results?
I do as well. From what I have read, most do. But there are some that do better with 2.5. Each unit is just a little different I guess.
do you have to wipe data/cache before updating a radio? New to the bolt, came from an evo where i just flashed it like a rom

No. You place the file on the root of your SD card and make sure it is named PG05IMG.zip and boot into bootloader (hboot) and it will flash the radio there.
What is the difference between 2.0 and 2.5?
Just different releases for the MR2 update. Most are having the best luck with MR2 but a few are having good luck with 2.5. Best advice is to flash one and try it for a day or two.
i am a noob as well coming from a dx1 and dx2? if i decide i just want to change radios like i beleive i will be changing roms is it as simple as flash radio and remove from sd etc..?
No. You have to flash through hboot. Its a little more complicated but there should he a guide around here somewhere.

Hello guys and gals. I'm excited to get my zoom in the mail tomorrow from verizon. So I'm reading up on these forums to understand where everyone is at. I'm asking if any one would would he willing to give a quick check list of first things I should do when I get it. Then I can do some research based on your feed back and get it all set up. Thanks.

Download flash player from the market , then set your browser to on demand in the settings. Get feedly for your google reader or pulse, but I prefer feedly as it's much snapier. Download plume for tablet and friend caster for tablets.

One click is to much steps(irony right?)....
Do the catch recovery before reboot method which is really simple and easy. You get root and recovery at the same time.

I used this method, quick and easy.
First thing, right out of the box, root that puppy and install the latest Tiamat ROM.

WiFi only version. Using verizon zoom. I gather that means its The 3g version people are talking about. I'm browsing the developers section still.

Play with your xoom for a while then this. I would install the tiamat rom but I don't want to wipe my xoom.
I've decided to skip roms and tiamat or whatever. Looking at threads some are WiFi version only. Then some are different firmware version. I just want stock Verizon with whatever current version its at instructions. It's just to big of a mess for me to spend time digging through literally hundreds of posts researching on what should be closed threads restarted with fresh instructions. Not 4 month old threads. I'll just root adb, use setcpu, and wait for 3.2 uupdate. Then ill join in since ill know where other people are starting from.
It really is a mess. With my Droid x it was simple. A few ways to gain root and all the Roms nicely laid out ripe for the picking. Instruction clearly labled if you have firmware xxx do this, xxy do this. No wonder people are afraid to root. I am, now.

Ok I can't quit that easy. Looked at xoomforums. I think my whole problem was forum layout. Viewing this forum on their premium app jumbled everything together. Seeing everything laid out rom, kernels, ect, much easier. I'll go with launchpad 1.3 then try tiamat. At least I don't feel lost. As long I'm not browsing through their app.

There you go. That's what a productive person does, finds ways and doesn't sit and cry.
I have a rooted atrix already so this is pointless to me. but could be helpful to others. I have tried some of the automatic rooting programs and apps but failed miserably. so had to do it the old fashion way!!
but i came across this and it looks very promising.
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-anything-try-doomlords-easy-rooting-toolkit/
has worked on other motorola devices. so who knows. could be a timesaver!
As if the one click root option we have already is too long a process?
