Error: Error: cannot read ramdisk - HD2 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I know there have been a few posts on this subject but no one seems to have answered the question so far...
I tried to instal ICS but couldn't get it to work at the last hurdle so I tried to go back into AD Recovery to reinstall Gingerbread. Only when I try I get the message: Error: Error: cannot read ramdisk
UK HTC HD2 ie 512
I did a Task29
Reinstalled HSPL 2.08
Radio 2.15... (The radio is not the problem)
Reinstalled Magldr / CWM
Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you sure you installed cwm right?

I've reinstalled CWM using magldr using a few different methods.

That error is apearing when u dont have cwm. I have guide for RCmix3d. Try it but use your rom partition sizes. U have clk and magldr in my signature.

Thanks to everyone who helped me, I managed to get everything working again by reinstalling ClockWorkMod using the correct partition layout from here (I used a 250mb layout for Gingerbread).
After much trial and error on my behalf it's worth noting that once the problem was fixed before i could successfully get a ROM to work I had to do a factory reset and wipe the dalvik cache in magldr and delete the file structure of past roms from my SD card as it caused new installs to hang.

good news!!!!!!!

install onyx 5 and then downgrade to 4
I tried that but I am still getting the same message.

If the CID unlocking didn't work, and you don't have and sort of SPL protection installed (HSPL or USPL), then you won't be able to install any of the Onyx ROMs. Or any other custom cooked ROM for that matter... A list of the HTC RUU error codes can be found here if it helps.
Personally, I would recommend HSPL 2.28 from this thread, but it's up to you.
Edit: I just noticed a senior moderator gave the same advice yesterday in another thread you opened (link).
Please read stickies in the ROM dev section.

Well... one problem that you're having is that you failed to post in the right section. I'll move it for you but next time I'll trash it instead. Fair warning.
Second thing is that those images aren't showing up. When I tried to click a link it says that I have to be signed in. Sorry... but I'm not planning on working that hard to help you out at this point. Too busy.

gapps installer not found

Hello everyone, I have been working on this for hours and cannot find anything that works. I successfully installed CM7 with gapps on my NookColor months ago and never had this problem. I am just trying to set up a fresh install on a new 16GB SanDisk class 6 micro SDcard. I am using the instructions found here just like I did before on my 32GB SanDisk class 6 micro SDcard. I would really appreciate any help, as this is just about the most frustrating issue I've ever encountered regarding CM7 on my NookColor.
I put the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip file on the first boot partition, boot to recovery and all I get is this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Try downloading the gapps again... possibly a corrupt download.
It is hard to read your very small thumbnail, but it looks like you have a space in the gapps file name after gapps and before gb. That would explain the error message. Make sure it is named with no spaces.

It's really strange because the MD5 check passed the file I already had. You were right, I redownloaded and after that it worked. Thank you.

When you redownloaded it, you got the name right so it would install. That is why the MD5 matched on the original file yet it would not install.

Of course he hasn't. It's so much easier to open a new thread than to write "htc panache root xda" in Google and read the 2 top hits (and first pages will be enough). Or is it?
OP, find and read a thread named "Videotron/Mobilicity Panache thread".
Search in Google as "Install CM for Glacier". This is an easy solution for Perm-Root your HTC Panache.

Wrong partition size. Increase the Partition on Nand, minimum 50MB, and install Android again, it should boot.
BTW, the first boor is very long, even more than 15 minutes, leave the phone to do his job first.
i have repartition the nanad with 400MB
but now i have another problem when i want to go back to the original rom with sd metod (leoimg .nbh in the rot of sd card)
i have this 2 message
in bootloader screen
Upgrade Rom code error please try again
Before any installation you have to formatt your HD2 with Task29, before Stock or Android.
You cannot flash Stock from SD. To go back to Stock you have to boot in Bootloader, connect to PC and run the installation from the folder RUU.
About Android, try different Rom, it seems like the package is compromise. Sometime not all the Roms are perfect but it's very easy to install them on HD2.
Somewhere you do a mistake.
yes i hve do task29 and step of installation
i hve test 5 android roms ..seme problem stuck on logo
Stuck on logo
I have the same problem.
