You should probably try wiping data. You can also try using a different rom.

I've been getting the same problem. My DROID x rebooted 3 times while trying to watch a 10 minute video on my sd card. There has to be a better way instead of whipping data!

Try fixing permissions in rom manager

plug your droid x into a windows PC
and defragment the mini sd card as well as run an error check.
this solved my random rebooting issues my sd card had a lot of poorly written data and it was not well formatted when i brought it to my new phone.

Where could I have clicked it?
If you mean when it ask if you want to erase card. No because it was fine for a couple hours. The phone not reading the card. When I try to take pictures. It says insert sd card.

Are you sure the SD card is all the way in? Or if you plug it into the computer will it read it?

I know when I did it, it took a good 5 minutes but eventually rebooted and I had root again. How long did you leave it running?
Actually i forgot it and left it for an hour or so

I had the same problem you need to install a SD card that will make it work.
thank you, i thought i had my 16gb sd installed, but when I checked it, it was not recognized by system...so i took it out, put in and it always mentioned sd card for just a second, then dissapeared again...seems to be a bug...now it seems to be seen, i started gingerbreak...but takes way longer then the first time...i let you know if it worx now
I stopped and reinstalled Gingerbreak after updating my device. I had same problem as you describe. After reinstalling Gingerbreak my problem was solved.
Now it worked...the issue was that my acer got some troubles with my sd card....it rarely accepts it....

Basically when I restart my phone, I get a pop up that says my Sd card is damaged but when I go to settings and mount it, it works fine until I do another reboot. The one annoying thing that happens is it wipes anything that was saved from my phone like DCIM picture and music etc but everything else is still there(that I saved from my pc).
Any idea what's causing it?

What phone and which vendors SD card?
Didn't I see that Sandisk has a bad batch recently of 32 GB cards?
Also have you tried reformatting?

It's a HC 64gb card running on SGS4 phone. I've tried reformatting off my pc and phone but to no avail. It worked fine on my Note 2

Do you have another card to try? Since its a new device and it worked on your old phone you need to rule out the phone as the issue.

I guess it's one of those annoying things. I'll get a new Sd card, might be the easiest solution

So I've had this thing for about a week now and the growing list of complaints is still mounting. Now I have an issue where almost all my apps, only those on the sd card, need to be redownloaded. The icon for them is just the Android guy with a little sd card on the lower right of the icon. When I touch it it takes me to Google play and says it's not installed. Anyone experiencing the same? I have reinstalled a few and when I did it seems my info is still there. No idea why it happened.

Have you tried reformatting the sdcard with the phone (not with windows)?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using xda app-developers app
Was going to until I noticed that when I reinstalled the apps my data was still there so I didn't want to risk losing all my data

Is the card mounted OK? - does it keep unmounting itself? Could be messing up the file system but not actually destroying data., which would indicate a card problem, tried testing the card also? - Try another SD card if you have one, or alternatively format it via the phone and lose the data, then redownload.
Mounting seems fine, actually unmounted and remounted a few times with same results. Haven't tried testing it, what's a good way to do so? I guess an idea would be to transfer app off card back to phone and reformat and see what happens.
