Thankyou - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Checkrom, Chris x, Eyebee, mowmo and any more of you guys on here developing for the Note.
I just wanted to say a M-A-S-S-I-V-E thankyou, to all of you for the time, effort, energy and work you guys are are doing here with the developing for the Note.
I have to say, nothing in this life is perfect but you all strive hard to better your work with every release, and it is only minor bugs anyway, and the roms are fantastic, same to all you guys with the kernels, the themes, etc, etc, you all put so much into it.
The note is very much still in its early days and has not been around as long as say a dell streak from which i came, and yet ive seen more support and work on here in a week than what i saw in 3 months over at the streak base.
Well done guys and i hope everyone else will back me in saying a big thanks and we all look forward to a bright future for the Note..

Super-massive-thanks! I am 30 and just now after SGS2 & after month of usage of NOTE I understand - THIS IS DEVICE I DREAMED ABOUT ALL MY LIFE !!!!!

Totally agree! Thanks to everyone that is contributing to this wonderful device!

Thank you VERY MUCH guys!!

Good bye guys! ;(

Hello guys,
I just wanted to say goodbye and thanks to everyone for your hard work, especially all the wonderful developers like mikegapinski, pcfighter, wingrime and others. Thank you very much for your time spent on the forums and making our GT540 a noteworthy device! Maybe you don't remember, but I contributed to this community too with my soft-mod D01Mod and TsunamiMod. I got a great deal for a Samsung Galaxy S Plus - 270 Euros, unlocked without contract! So goodbye LG GT540 and users, I had a wonderful time with you!

Same here.
The main reasons we're moving to Galaxy S Plus is the lousy resistive screen and the sluggish processor. They just aren't good enough for today's standards.
Goodbye guys hope to see you's pop in the gt540 forums like I do

Luckily, we found another place where they sell SGS, SGSL, SGS+ for a great price, so we will check that out later.

New member

Hello everyone.
I will be a new member of the Samsung galaxy note family soon.
So i just wanted to say hi to everyone.
I've been visiting the SGN forum to know what the device is like and it sounds really good.
This will be my first ever samsung mobile. Currently i am using an Xperia arc.
The xperia arc forums are literally dead.
This forum seems to be bursting with life and this makes even more excited to be here.
Welcome, you wont be sorry!

Welcome! I had the Xperia Arc too before I got my SGN after xmas, and I never laid a finger on it since. Just a warning tho, don't fall so inlove with it or your SGN will end up falling into the toilet or screen getting crushed by the bed like some SGN owners here )

Hello frnds,
I have bought ma note today...This is my first android mobile. I have read all the threads since the time i planned to buy this awesome mobile. I have some
questions regarding the Rooting and Unrooting concepts...
1. If i root my mobile and flashing with custom rom, will i able to get the official ICS update for my note? I know rooting will void the warranty..what abt the official samsung updates?
2. If i want to Unroot, does it mean i get back my warranty? For unrooting, which app should i use for restoring ma data and apps?
note really is catching fire all across the world.

Well, does the ocean sea count as a universal toilet? I've been there and done that, and I've tried to kick myself in the buttox for that ever since. There's a bachelor clown fish somewhere in the West Coast trying to bait some bachelorettes w/ my RAZR.
Noobie to the Note Club as well. Fantastic forum!

Good bye my little Buzz!

Hello fellow Wildfire users!I know I haven't been a big part of our community but I've been around XDA for a while and watched this tiny device grow along with some great and loyal users and unlike many mid-end (which the WF was in its early days imho) and low-end devices (which it has become ) was and probably still is a high-end device in development and community.I mean c'mon even MIUI GB was released which seemed the definition of "impossible" in the early days and we even have CM9 that is close to stable and might get there in the future.
Anyway the point is I'm getting a new device and I'm going to miss this and I genuinely hope the development will last for at least one year or until everyone gets a new device. Good bye and I hope I'll see some of you in the SII forums!
Alex

One more year for me, but I'm enjoying every second of it!

Its been a great ride.

Hi everybody,
Today could be my last day using the amazing but unfortunately outdated HTC wildfire ( willy) its been an amazing introduction to Android for me and I will always remember this phone.
Its time for me to move onwards and upwards as my Nexus 4 is awaiting my love at my local TNT depot.
There are so many members current and old that wish to thank but out of respect of not including or forgetting certain people I will restrain from names in the hope that you know I am and will always be thankful to YOU.
I love the willy community and will still be around and will try my hardest not to disapear totally but that is easier said than done. Anybody I have had a rare conflict with here please don't ever take it serious or personal and know I am always just a pm away.
So for a great forum and even greater community, I bid you farewell for now but not forever.
Kindest regards
CHRIS.

Have an awesome time with the Nexus 4 sly, it sure is one hell of a beast.
Unfortunately many people are starting to leave, before you know it poor Willy Wilderbeast will be a legacy device. Let's try and make it last more before that happens.

Lol didn't last. Tell you what is so noticeable on this phone and maybe others.... Maps navigation is booooom straight up and running,no waiting about. Also backup and restores...... Boooooom 2 minutes complete recovery, wipes, restore and reboot, willy wouldn't have even booted onto recovery by the time I've completed Lol.

Yeah I've tested the maps on my brother's nexus 7. Those offline maps and 3D effects are awesome !
My next phone is definitely a nexus !!
Are you using CWM 6 recovery ? I know it makes backups really fast.
Actually, my wildfire makes faster backups than my Pro !
I know it's normal because it's system partition is smaller and they both run on CWM 5...

I personally don't like CWM anymore. I dislike the quick backup system they have. Because it creates a "common files" folder I can't clean up the storage from the PC so really anymore. That and the fact that I can queue up the files I want to flash and the theme support makes me stay on TWRP

Hi,
I'm Greg, nice to meet you All.
I'm a new Note 2 user. Far from using it to it fullest though. Looking forward to unleash the potential of this beast, but not in a hurry to do so. Will probably run unrooted stock at least half a year or so. Though changing the silly DPI IS very tempting....
