I love Opera, but there's one big issue that I have with it. I'm a big sports junkie and I go to ESPN.com dozens of times daily, and they recently re-designed their mobile site like 6 months ago or so. Anyways, I love the re-design and is much more useful and quicker to get the info I want/need. The problem with Opera is that it still goes to ESPN's OLD mobile site which I didn't really like. Its been over 6 months now since the re-design and other 3rd party browsers access the new one. But why can't Opera go to it? And why does it use the old one? Anyways, anything would be of great help!
Same goes for the google page and facebook. I love using opera mobile browser and also am heavy google user but the page is all torn down in opera mobile. I have tried few solutions like changing the custom user agent as suggested by another user but with no use. Though it gave me the google mobile version yet it was all messed up.

yes i have just seen those including "steel" and what i am installing with high hopes the firefox/fennec beta!
fennec opens and closes (not force) on its own oh well
Do people not like the stock browser? My votes is for the default web browser since it's the best I've tried so far. Firefox looks promising too.
i dont mind the defualt but i cannot download no files that are .apk even after doing the settings change to allow them. this is why i switched browsers. i really wanted to try this fennec except it doesnt launch...

I like Skyfire and the Desire Browser the best.

LMAO! Wait... don't make me add you to my blocked list!
Have you flagged Allow Unknown Sources in Settings-->Applications?
Doing so default browser should download .apk

yes i have but it still dont work but does for other browsers.
1) use Download Crutch for default browser to download anything.
2) Tried default one & Skyfire 2.0. Didn't like Skyfire - jumpy zooms, videos play only partially and can't be navigated (forward/back), etc. Still keeping Skyfire just in case, but using default one.
The only serious quirk of the default browser - lack of proper visual tab interface for selecting between browser windows (you have to switch between windows based only on their titles).
I haven't seen any reason to switch off of the default browser. It has a very Chrome-like feel to it, and has outperformed the other browsers I've tried (Opera and Skyfire so far) by a large margin. I feel like Google did a good job importing a close rendering of their fantastic desktop browser onto the mobile market.
Another solution is:
Install ASTRO FileMenager and flag Enable Download from Browser. You can find this option in Preferences
I've tried all of them and so far XScope has been the only one I use. Love it and always getting better.
So let's make a list:
Native
Opera Mini
Skyfire
Xscope
Dolphin
Steel
Is there any other?
I suggest to copy and paste the list and add him to it so in the end we get a whole list.

Doesn't that only apply for the market?
Pretty sure we'll be able to DL anything in the next CM update which will render all the other browsers (aside from the stock one) useless. At least for me.
And I agree with the above poster that the only quirk are the tabs, or lack of. Add those then we are in business.
been using the stock browser but from previous experience its not the best.
currently trying opera (full version), which seems to be quite snappy, and I have noticed that typing lag is almost non existent.....this was very noticeable the stock browser.
personally I really like boat browser on my vibrant, but not available for tablets of yet.
dolphin browser
Opera browser mobile, is by far the best browser at the moment, although using for any text imput can be frustrating especially in pages like facebook due to the tap inside and out of the box issue, however I do like the stock browser apart from the typing lag which for some reason varies day to day. I am using the stock brower to write this and the lag is only slight this morning
I to use the stock browser, it seems pretty stable to me and pinch to zoom is very smooth.
Since i have exchanged my transformer i havent had any force closes with the stock browser yet.Admittedly i have only been using it for under 24 hours but it appears a lot more stable for some reason. I have the same apps installed so i have ruled out that an app was causing the stability issues. Iwill keep testing over the next few days but as of now iam happy with the performance apart from the standard keyboard lag.

I use Firefox as I'm a diehard Mozilla supporter. I like it more than the stock browser, but that's just me. And no I'm not a fanboy that thinks everyone should use Firefox I just prefer it over all other choices.
Stock browser for now.
I've been using Opera Mobile lately. It's nice and fast, though I prefer the layout on the stock browser. The stock browser is buttery-smooth most of the time, but chugs out occasionally. Opera, while not quite as smooth, is always constant. I've never seen it slow down.
I briefly tried Firefox and promptly removed it. It was the laggiest browsing experience I've encountered on my Transformer. I don't understand how they can make something so simple run so poorly.
My browser of choice is opera mobile. Aside from a few small annoyances I think it really blows the stock browser away except for the quick controls which are nice

Opera mini for most sites. Dolphin for desktop versions of sites. Stock for Facebook. xda works by far the best on opera mini. flash is broken on any browser still (google/asus fault) really hoping that is fixed soon.
I like to use stock browser, it is fast and the interface looks the best me, but it always crash (without any error prompt) keeping me to stay away from it. For now I use dolphin for stability.
Been using Dolphin Browser HD for a while now. Better than the stock browser which kept FC'ing on me. Havn't tried Opera yet, maybe I'll give it a go tonight.
I liked the stock one, but decided to try new ones to get rid of some lag.
I didn't like Dolphin neither Miren.
I thought Opera was great, but tehe textbox input is horrible . This is the third time I am writing the answer to this post , and I hate loosing typed text. I am googling to see if I can get rid of this textbox or else unistalling opera.
Regards.
Opera Mobile - almost perfect but strange tabs (if you can get used to it it should be perfect).
Dolphin Browser - great, but has severe issues with opening links in new tabs (and opening links in general).
Stock browser - not that bad either.
Try Maxaton Browser. It's designed specifically for 10-inch tablets. It also doesn't default to mobile sites.
Dolphin HD is good too, because there is a desktop mode setting. I don't need mobile sites on my "tab-uter"

Plus 1 for the above he is bang on.
I use opera for daily usage, but maxthon is nice too.
I mainly use the stock browser because it has the best keyboard shortcut support. I also use Dolphin HD because it has LastPass integration and the second-best keyboard support.
I keep Firefox around for when things don't work with those two, but it doesn't seem to support any keyboard shortcuts, which is strange. Opera and Maxaton, ditto, but not strange.
I wish a Desktop port for Firefox would come... But Opera has ZERO keyboard lag, vs all of the other browsers.
Opera also has a stupid tab browser, and text box issues.
Hell, a Chrome port would be amazing too! I want my addons/extensions! NOW!
Does your Stock Browser never crash, my stock browser crashes all the time.
Has anybody been using this browser on Nexus 4? I started and I really like it; less hangups than chrome, better interface (I like the disappearing url bar) than dolphin imo.
However, I noticed that it seems to be giving a wakelock any time a page has been opened, but the window has not been cleared from the recent apps list (this is all according to BBS).
I was just wondering if other N4 users had experienced this or used this app, and what your opinion on it was. Also, is there a different browser for the N4 you guys would recommend?

I`m a next browser user. Realy like it, fast and easy to use. And when i browse the web i get a popup message to use tapatalk if the web site support it. I know chrome also got this, but i find it not to work so well.
Yes, i have noticed that it got some wake locks. But not for long, its also possible to exit the app easy from setting menu

I had been using Next for a while now. But a couple days ago I replaced it with Firefox because Next had trouble downloading some files from Drive. If there was other aberrant behavior it wasn't noticable to me in use.
I use Chrome, but you can try Firefox or Opera. Every browser has its own advantages and disadvantages.
I used to use CM Browser and loved it. It was fast and I liked the favorites on the main page. Now it crashes constantly. It's been a long time since I had a change and I'm sure the ones I've tried in the past have many changes. Any opinions or if similar experiences with CM Browser?

I'm liking Via. Thanks. I would not have known about that one.
Chrome is the best. No added extra bs just a good fast browser , install adaway and it's even faster
Samsung Beta = winning. Best private mode with separate private mode bookmarks.
Yandex
Another vote for Brave Browser.
Mozilla Firefox. I like it because i can use all the browser plug-ins that I'm using in desktop.
Thanks for the input. I tried all suggested and I like Via so far. Apus was nice but I think Via was faster. Brave didn't seem as quick on my phone. Yandex reminded me of Chrome but I like the buttons on the bottom. I tried X browser too which was similar to Apus and Via if anyone is looking for ideas.
Chromium... best of the best.
I've been using a Galaxy tab e 9.6 since 2018 and i always had many problems with the evolution of apps like youtube and even the google app that seems to get slower after every upgrade. Recently i found an app called website shortcut that let you create shortcuts in your home screen to any web page, using xbrowser with the Wap UA i had many positive results using web apps, that really helped me to save storage space and to be more confortable using google, youtube and other web aplications (They all works faster since are more simple with Wap UA). What do you guys think? Is anyone doing that?
Ps: Sorry about my english! I'm also new here, so let's talk
