I've just recently noticed this. But benchmarks yield crappier gpu results in the nexus s than the epic. For example the corridor test on my epic oc'd to 1.3ghz rubs at 40+ fps. The lowest its dropped is 35 fps and the highest was 50fps. Meanwhile the nexus s is running 10-15 fps slower. I thought this was just some issue with my buds nexus s but I just youtubed some benches and found the same results. Anyone else notice this? Why? Same hardware and I expected the nexus s to actually do better since its got official gb and the epic doesn't. I'm kind of baffled here.

Well I just ran smartbench side by side to the ns4g. Much better result there. I guess the ns4gs gpu drivers are much different somewhere down the road. The "planet" test on quadrant ran at a horrid 11fps while it stays at a constant 56fps on the epic.

I've had the same results while comparing benches on my Epic and my Nexus S, but it's only Quadrant. Real world graphics performance is just as good if not better than the Epic's. Other benchmarkkng programs don't seem to have the same discrepancies.

No need to feel bad. It just emphasizes the innacuracy of benchmarks

You have the Premium app so all you have to do is touch on a post (like to quote them) and you should have a "thank" option...as long as you are on the most current version of XDA Premium. Not that I am fishing for thanks..just an FYI

I barely ever go on the actual website or the browser. I was very humbled when I saw how many thanks I have received in the past 6 weeks. Thanks everyone!

Thank Tapatalk, it's in their app which is what the xda app is built from.
@xda, build some transparent versions of the premium app and I'll pay the $1.50 for it!
Nexus on daily speed blows my old Epic away but it lacks in web browsing and some games that my epic could handle perfectly fine. I always wondered the reason behind that.

scary stuff man!
I tried the dr Paul way, but without ninjas. I did it with a cy-bear attack. He punched me and I flew and sat on my N7. Then I used my Caprisun to defeat him. (if you've seen the commercial)
Don't you know the Nexus is smash-proof? Try it out for yourself! :silly:
Hi, i would like to know what the consensus of the best rom is for this epic tablet. Usually i would go over a few roms a week and test em all out, but dont have the time Lemme know?
There is no such thing as a "best" ROM. It depends on what your needs are. And ultimately that is going to come down to you trying them out and finding out what works for you.

i am on ParanoidAndroid and working great so far.
Been using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777586 with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823671 for a few days now. Thinking about trying out CM10's new "M" build.
Eyebee is the person who gave all the note users the hope that we can use the multi window mode on our original note. He motivated us in times when it was not official from samsung that we will get this feature.
His hard work to get that thing forced sammy to release the leaked xxls7
Eyebee you will be missed.

Could we please stop to open hail eybee threads every 5 minutes ?
This is getting embarrassing, even for him...
I think One thread is enough, lets keep it clean.

It's not like he died, we're not on a funeral. He contributed a lot, now he's had enough and that's it...nobody died in a bloody masacre or a car crash so just get over it, Jesus.
I can see why people are coming to this thread and posting despite saying its useless thread.
For a +1 post.
