[Q] No Access to sdcard - Click General

Hello,
first, sry for my bad English.
Then i've got a huge problem and can't fix it on my own.
The following has happend:
I rooted an flashed my HTC Tattoo (Clockworkmod 5.xxx and Cyanogen 7.1). Everything went fine after some issues with rooting the phone. But finally i got into Clockwork recovery, backed up everything and flashed the Cyanogen Mod.
Worked perfekt. For a few days. Then, suddenly the phone told me, my sdcard is empty. Than i tried a lot of things to get this working again, but without any success.
I tried to conect my phone via USB to my pc - fail.
I tried to mount the sd card via "Android Terminal APP" - fail.
I tried to mount the sdcard via Colockworkmod - fail.
And now the phone doesen't boot anymore. I can see the "Tattoo"-screen and thats it. No more progress in booting. So I wanted to restore everything an than flash den ROM again. But without my sdcard, i can restore anything. And i don't get a connection to my pc.
I red a lot of similar problems on the HTC Desire, but it seems to me, I am the only one, having these problems on HTC Tattoo.
Could anybody please help me. Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried another sd-card?

Hi again,
as I found out this evening, the sdcard was somehow broken. With a new sdcard, I could easily get the card mounted and formated in Clockworkmod.
Now my Problem is: How to get an recovery.img for the HTC Tattoo? Any suggestions on this one?
Or can I just flash in cyanogenmod once more?
Thanks for the advice.

Problem with Mytouch 3G

Hey you guys, so i recently tried flashing amon-ra's 1.6.2 through the terminal emulator and after i did the restart it just wouldn't boot into recovery!! What do you think the problem would be? I typed in everything correctly and did it a second time as well, still no success -_-! My phone is able to start and able to function but recover doesn't load. Any thoughts?! Solutions?!
Are you holding down the home button at the same time as you hit power?
I had the same issue. Copied everything off my SD card except the new recovery, did a wipe and installed through terminal.
my guess is the recovery somehow got buried in a folder. Copy all your files to your pc, format your SD and try again.
Thanks for the reply everyone. Okay but if i got ahead and format my sdcard wouldn't my phone not turn on since i'll be erasing the rom that is already installed onto the phone? I currently have an older cyanogen rom on it, should i leave the cyanogen rom file inside so i'll be able to turn on my phone and then go into terminal emulator? Because recovery doesn't even turn on for me so i wouldn't be able to do the flash in the recovery!
Have you tried flashing both versions of recovery?
Unless you're using Hero version.
Or, you might need to use the Hero version.
Thanks for the reply everyone, i actually got it to work. Went ahead and flashed it again and it seemed to be working, finally changed my rom to the latest superD and it's working awesome!!! Thanks alot!

[Q] Did I brick my Hero?

Hello,
Last night I tried to install another radio fw on my Hero because of bad reception since the last one I installed.
I placed the new radio on my SD, rebooted and forgot to push the right buttons to access the "Android system recovery" (RA?) part.
Because it takes ages to wait for the phone to boot I pulled the battery and tried it again witch failed again, pulled the battery again etc.
When I finally managed to acces the "Android system recovery" part I flashed the new GSM radio to my GSM Hero. All the steps in described in the manual I used worked and all looked well.
After rebooting the phone started till the point of the Villainrom logo. I kept the phone on for hours till the battery was fully drained but it stays the same.
I can still acces the "Android system recovery", fast boot etc,
Tried the following:
-Wipe
-Restore backup
I'm getting pretty desperate!!
I's there anyone who has recovered his Hero from such a situation?
Please help..
If you can get to the recovery screen then you're not bricked. just reflash your rom and gapps add on and you should be fine or do a nandroid restore.
Hi pwraggcan,
I already restored a Nadroid backup.. Did not do the trick....
Also I tried to reflash the radio fw... Nothing helps. It just hangs at the unfolding Villainrom Logo which every few minutes restarts unfolding (I don't know how to call it otherwise, I do not mean that the phone restarts).
You're not bricked, so you're OK.
Re-flash the ROM you had installed after wiping your /data
Failing that, remove the SD card as that sometimes helps get the phone to boot.
If all else fails set up adb and get us a logcat.
Download the ROM again, full wipe & try again... Just to make sure the download didn't go bad?

You're welcome
Clear out your SD on your computer (back it up first), format it, and you should be good to go
It's usually the SD when this happens

Need help after trying to flash a ROM, now stuck at HTC logo

Hi there, i think i failed at trying to flash a ROM to my desire HD.
I followed the process for temp and then permroot and it all seemed fine. Read further to wipe all data so i did. Then decided to make a backup and that went fine aswell. Upon reboot it just hangs at the HTC logo. I have to pull the battery just to turn it off.
I can boot into recovery mode and tried to restore to my backup but same problem. Foolishly i did all this while waiting for the revolution ROM to download so not even sure how to copy it to the sd card and trying to flash it to the ROM to see if that gets its going.
Would really like some help on this =/
Spose the question is, now that i cant actually start the phone apart from into recovery mode, is there a way to copy the ROM to the sd card still?
Or any ideas on getting it to boot further then just the HTC logo?
help with images attached
wiping all data cause you to lose whatever is on there, inclusive of ROM etc, it sounds like it has nothing too boot.
you can mount your SD via CWM (clockwork Recovery) by going to mounts & Storage and also mount USB and it will then show up as it normally would on your PC if you had a rom.
see photos to guide you
OH FYI youll need to format;
- Boot
- System
- Data
- Cache
Thanks, im able to copy the rom over now, ill flash to it and see how it goes.
Thanks, all is working now

[Q] Bricked my tattoo?

Hi,
i think i have a really big issue here.
I tried to install the Mondo Rom, but i had cm7 and android 2.3 before, so i had to flash back to amon-ra recovery.
I did everything the tutorial said, but it just wont work, soo then there was a great idea that i came up with:
lets try to format the sd card.. and yeaah now i got one problem.
My Phone stucks while booting at the "Tattoo" logo.
I just can boot into recovery or hboot , fastboot wont work, because my computer isn´t recognizing my phone :/
What should i do?
oh and i can´t go into mount usb either it just says:
"E: Unable to open ums lunfile (No such file or directory)
please help, because i need to go to the hospital tomorrow and i need my cellphone :S
If you can boot to recovery, why you don't flash the rom again, or maybe another rom, in case that you have problems with mondo rom?
same problem
i´ve updated yesterday my tattoo to the latest cm7 rom. Everything worked very well, but today it´s restarting the whole time.
it come untill pin and then restart. I dont undestand whats the problem.
I´ve flashed the rom again and wiped erverything but nothing
Try to put your memory card in another phone or in a card reader. Format your sd card again. Put a rom on it and try to install it.
problem solved
i solved my problem after installing an old backup of the old sense rom
and after that i wiped data and installed the new rom
and nnow it´s working

[Q] SD card problem, need instant help!

Hi! Don't know if this is the right section but i really need some help here, or imma throw my hone out the window. Yesterday my phone started saying my SD card was damaged, so i replaced it, and it worked fine, until today. my new card is broken.
So i can't use my backup since my sdcard dosen't work. I've tryed connecting the SDcard directly to my pc, and mount it through recovery. It just says Error mounting SDcard.
I can't install a new RUU.
What the hell should i do?! im getting some panic now.
Please help
Thx in advance
p.s the phone is a HTC Wildfire, and i've used CM7 since 1-1½ months back.

i know you said that you tried "directly" connect your sdcard to your computer but was the card still in the phone? if it was then take it out and actually throw it into a computer either through an adapter or slot and format it
