Broke up with the girlfriend and now I need to bring her phone to stock and I refuse to continue to be her tech support lol. on the HTC Evo you can easily do that with a ruu, I don't seem to find any here for this phone. our at least I can't find it. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Check out the guides in the Dev section. Basically, flash the stock P15IMG.zip, then unroot and S-ON.

Search Threads Before Posting....!!!!!! it takes a little bit of effort to get what you want.
I think there's an ointment for that, although good old penicillin will probably do just fine..
Make sure you spell check when searching... You will get better results.

hey guys i am having a weird problem. so i was using my mytouch for for ever rooted and all. i used the http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/TMobile_myTouch_4G:_Full_Update_Guide
guide to root my phone. well now i cant get it back to s=on
no matter what i try i have tried 3 different ways.
including the unlkr and others. just cant get it to go. it always has errors. i have to send this phone back in for warranty tomorrow. i can boot in do all the SU commands and i get nothing. i reboot and it says s = off
i tried pd15img update and that did nothing
please help!

I agree. 100%! The thing that's fishy is these people that are doing this have been members for quite some time...so they know the rules. I think someone's just trying to start something.

How can i port an existing rom?
That's a very broad question..what device was this originally from? what version/flavor of android is this? Etc.

Yeah Nicgraner is right. We need more info to help. Some phones port well to others with little difficulty. Others, not so much.

Well first thank you guys a lot for getting interested in helping me. i know a little bit in basics like rooting and flashing roms but i wanted to know more about how can i make my own rom or at least try to troubleshoot any cooked rom.
Get familiar with logcat, to begin with.
Get familiar with smali/baksmali, decompiling and recompiling Java apps, and Java code for Android in general.
It'll get you half way there.
I have a LG mytouch 4G from Tmobile and I just did a factory reset on it. After I did that, it would boot up fine to the setup menu and when it would ask me for my gmail account the widget would crash and tell me to force close.
Now, it won't even do that. It boots up and sits on the Android screen. I can't even turn the phone off anymore, I have to take the battery out.
I was wondering if the phone is savable? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
