No you cant use that kernel with stock froyo rom. you can only use it with the defy+ rom.
Benefits? you get stock gingerbread
what about root?
Have you guys managed to root this SBF? I installed it on my defy and now i can't root it, please help me root this 2.3.6 android version.

This sbf isn't good at all, looks like walter is a major dissapointment with this sbf because:
1. You can't root it with the method he provided
2. It's not that good to be the support for his next ms2ginger.
Anyways, after flashing this sbf and experimenting with it i noticed that i can't connect to my network operator in 2g only or 3g only mode, only the automatic option is available, ok i can live with that but no internet acces via operator network? No way, it's too much.
In conclusion don't flash this sbf in the first place and spare yourself the lost time and effort, no harm intended, but i consider that before publishing information that info has to be tested first right walter? 10x
i flashed the nandroid backup so now I'm returned to stock froyo...have you tried to root with this version? http://www.multiupload.com/9AJDSU1Q11
for me is not good because I can't add italian language and there isn't contacts syncronization

Hi guys
I flashed the brazil vito rom, and know ive got stuck.
Is there at moment a way to downgrade this version?
Or is there a other rom i may could flash with my 2.3.6 vito.
Couse ratail is not woking. By the way someone know why?
Im sorry about may bad english...
"Couse ratail is not woking. "
This is so much general - please specify your problem in more details - are you getting any error message or how the phone behave?
"Is there at moment a way to downgrade this version?"
Take a look at here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497263
"Or is there a other rom i may could flash with my 2.3.6 vito."
Yes. All custom ROMs, that works with GB - tezet's CM9, Endless7's CM7, Argen2Stone, MS2Ginger... in fact all roms, except MIUI and stock froyo (but you can downgrade now and use these too)
Actually, it's not possible yet, the Vivo ROM (I'm guessing Vito was a typo) can't be rooted and, right now, it's not possible to install any custom ROMs or downgrade.
Can't he just flash SBF of another GB ROM, which is rootable? (UK/Brazilian/China etc.)

No, the Vivo ROM has v4 BL, and the other GB official ROMs have v3 BL. I'm not sure why it doesn't work, but nobody in the forum reported success in rooting / downgrading (or even changing to another official GB) from Vivo and Personal ROMs.
Okay thanks for the fast answers i thought, too that this is because of the new rom.
So the ratail 2.3.6 has no v4bl, too so i cant flash the sbf, too?
So its normal, that i cant flash any other sbf? Or are their other roms with v4bl?
And do you think there will be found a way to root/downgrade this version, or is it impossible?

Yes, the 2.3.6 has v3 BL, unfortunately you're stuck in the Vivo rom for now. If you try to apply a different SBF, your phone won't boot, and you'll have to reaply Vivo rom to use the phone. For now, you can't change ROMs either.
All we have now is hope that it'll be possible to root and downgrade this version, I'm sure a solution will appear sometime, we just have to wait.
Are there any news? Do someone know?
Someone know where i can find some informatian?
Unfortunately, there's nothing new yet... All we need is hope.
Are there any news about this issues?
It might have been asked before but I couldn't find the solution. I am in need of a guide to install Argen2Stone 3.0 onto my milestone 2 currently running on the froyo kernel. I don't want to flash any sbf that is not downgradable because I really like the MIUI which (to my understanding) is only working for froyo kernels.
I know that the Chinese GB can be downgradable? But I'm not sure which one to get. The link on http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone2 says "DE/AT/CH" under country, and not specifically Chinese, so I am wondering if this is the downgradable sbf to flash. Then if it is, multiupload isn't working... So I need a mirror if anyone have one :s.
Then after I flashed the sbf file, all I have to do is to restore the nandroid? Anything else I need to be aware of to prevent myself getting stuck with stock GB?
Thanks in advance.

As long as you don't apply the Vivo (Brazil) and Personal (Argentina) you're good to go. With 2.3.4 UK and 2.3.6 Retail Brazil (and several others) you'll be able to downgrade with the tutorial that's in the Android Development section (look at the topic and see how it works, it's on the first page), even though they don't use the Chinese Kernel.
Yeah but the link to multiupload is still not working. I also would prefer if I could just flash the CH rom and if I don't like it, flash back the froyo.
This is the download link of uk 2.3.4 stock rom from china
The md5 is not the same as the original ,so measure whether it is suit for you
115.com/file/dn8kptoc#
Add http yourself. If you dun know chinese ,the image I uploaded may help you.
I have uploaded a image that is "about phone" after i flash this sbf
I too am looking for a solution to this. I hate the multi-touch bug present in the UK kernels and wish that ROM devs would use CH instead. AFAIK only Endless's CM7 uses CH kernel as standard.

Ok thank you very much i thing i found the "solution"
Sorry for dumb question... Is this non-destructive root?
Hi all, I need to recover some photos and I have to root in order to dump the file system... I am not so very familiar with rooting of Android phones, therefore I am asking if the rooting method described above will erase the user partition (applications, accounts, media etc). The phone is a G531FxxU1AOI4 with 5.1.1... It has original bootloader and rom... does rooting on this device require unlocking bootloader (therefore wiping data)? I`ve searched allover the android forums, especially xda, but it seems there`s something I am missing.. noone states for clear what happens.
Thanks!
Can anyone give me link to stock rom of huawei y3II 4g plz.I cant find any guide for help this device

I am thinking of buying one of these.
Stock ROM is supposed to be here:
http://android.over-blog.com/2016/05/official-huawei-android-stock-rom-firmware.html
but I haven't tried it, yet, of course since I don't own the phone yet.
(edit) Hmmm. Link no longer goes where it once did. Now I cannot find this either.
Now huawei's site has a link for LUA-Lxx,Android5.1 said to work with y3ii.
http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/mobile-phones/huawei_y3ii_en-sup.htm
download from official site

How i can generate id to this phone? I have bricked phone whith bootloop. Maybe somone can know fastboot command?
Check the romanian huawei site.It does have the official rom for your model.

if you know the exact firmware number, you can find it with this tool:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146
i found mine with it, its pretty awesome, somehow scans huaweis entire database.
havnt tried the rom yet though. and you need your EXACT firmware number, if you could boot into os thats under settings and about phone, if you are bricked/ boot loop however, i dont know, maybe theres an adb command to find it?
sorry, im not much help.
pretty stuck myself.. heres my original post if anyone can help me:

good luck man, hopefully that firmware finder tool can help you find your stock rom

Translated with Google and download factory image for your phone and flash it with sp flash tools.
regarding root
I've heard good things about Magisk for rooting
but whatever you do, I do not recommend using supersu.com(an impostor site) as that's what broke my phone...anyway, only downoad root and other system stuff from xda, or linked to from xda...if you want traditional root you can try the supersu from xda, but make backups beforehand, you need a custom recovery for it anyway...
romanian rom = unbrick
thanks for the link, the romanian rom seems fine...
no idea why there are country-based roms though, what's the difference?
the phone won't run at all to do this please please please help
please
I have made custom roms for huawei y3 ii lua-l21
Soon i will upload links
