I've been playing a lot of GBA games I never got around to. Minish Cap, Medabots AX, DBZ Supersonic Warriors (great game, kudos to the above poster!), all the Pokemon games (GBA and GB) and some SNES games I never played but are considered the top tier of gaming. I've also been playing some N64 games, but I havent gotten to into them yet. Still trying to decide whether I like MUGEN or N64oid better. I really hope PS Suite brings the goods when it comes out, usually I carry my PSP and my phone, if I could get a few games I play on my PSP on my phone then it'd be perfect. I love having this phone. Controls make emulators amazing and thats all I ever wanted from my old android phones. Anything else that comes out for it is icing on the cake.

Did you manage to get jet force gemini to work on Mupen 64? (drooling at possibility)
An underrated game but really good it's called Secret of Evermore, i don't think anyone likes it because they thought it borrowed a lot from secret of mana but it's actually built from the ground up with ideas from mana... just play it, you won't regret it.
Unfortunately it only works 100% in SNESDroid which is quite slow, so overclock or play on PC
I only have pokemon fire red and mario kart atm still need to get more.

Diddy Kong Racing (N64) ! It's great on the Play, especially if you like Mario Kart.
Syndicate wars on fpse. Although that's probably because I owned it as a child but could never finish it.

I traded in my other emulators when I got fpse because all the games I had on prior ones were better on psx.
My games:
Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
Chrono Trigger (psx version of this and FF 4-6 have more features than the OG snes versions)
Vanguard Bandits
Legend of Dragoon
Legend of Legaea
Lunar Silver Story Complete
Lunar 2 Eternal Blue
I am an RPG fanatic and they're easy to play even with screwy touch screen controls.
Also, for anyone looking to get psx roms, make sure you know what "ecm" is and how to decode a rom that's been encoded with ecm. Some games you can't find a non-encoded version

Great list. Fair play.
I would love to see some sort of 'Emulator Launcher' that would just list ALL your roms regardless of platform and launch the emu when you select what game to play.
I can never remember what platform each game is on so I can never remember which one to launch

Did the sims 3 played alright on the galaxy 3?
Cause didn´t work on mine (g3 i5801), There was some problems with the textures (no hairs and some other stuff were invisible).
Is there a way to fix that?
Posted at the same time... well.
About the games, those are the ones I have installed and play well:
Snesoid (snes emulator)
Tiger GBA (gba emulator)
ScummVM (to play some old school adventure point´n click games, I love this kind of games)
Worms (a bit slow, but playable)
Island Settlers
Sims 3 seems to work OK for me, I haven't played it for over 5 mins but I don't see any graphical errors, except the resolution is a bit wrong and texts aren't exactly the best to read (still readable, though)
As for the link.. It was part of the mega pack, which has a lot of quality apps too, so I don't want to encourage you to not support the makers (though EA deserves to be pirated ), so you'll have to search it yourself.
worms and civ 4 links, please, pretty please!
ummm i got some..
1.soccer superstars
2.baseball superstars(now i m runnin 2011,so hope 2010 will also work fyn)
3.raging thunder 1
but i dnt knw abt raging thunder2 ..coz i dnt get the ryt version.. my version says the license is wrong.. i hav to buy it from market..!!
btw will nfs shift & asphalt run on g3??
I want everyone to check quake3droid out. The game almost smoothly works on the phone. The FPS is between 20-30 but still it is very cool to play.
Note - If you download quake3droid for free you wont get links for v2.6 and in the previous versions the on-screen virtual gamepad didnt fit to the screen so it would be better if you buy it.

Nah, I try to support developers of quality apps as much as I can, but seeing as I don't have a card to shop them online It's just easier to get it the easy way, obiviously.
For the record, most of the apps were 'paid' versions and not trial ones.
But well EA and other classic PC game-raping companies deserve to be pirated, they have ruined so many game series in the past 10 years that they deserve it..
My favorites:
Angry birds
Fruit Ninja
Game Dev Story (awesome!!!)
Frozen Bubble
Blow up
Ethereal Dialpad (not really a game but quite really fun stuff)
Slice it
Replica Island

Hi
I missed the whole PSX generation because I was busy partying.
I went from Atari 2600... to SNES to the Xbox and now PS3.
I was wondering what the top games that everyone should play are. I love games like Mario, God of War and Uncharted.
Thanks
If you liked those three games you should try:
Rayman
Medievil 1 and 2
And metal gear solid

I'm in the same boat except I stopped at the SNES and skipped straight to the Wii in 2006. Currently enjoying Castlevania - Symphony of the Night, one of the finest 2D platformers I've ever played. The soundtrack is phenomenal too...

LOL when I wasn't partying I was in college.
As i have worked as an author at a swedish website aimed at gaming on Android, I thought that i should make a thread about the things i spend the most time on with the Note 8.0.
With the Quadcore 1,6Ghz CPU together with Mali-400 GPU and 2GB RAM there arent many games that would make this tablet slow down, so why not enjoy some nice games on it.
At the moment i mostly play Real Racing 3, I previously played it on my Galaxy Tab 7.7 and there it could lag sometimes but on the Note 8.0 it looks good and plays even better
Gamelofts games also look really nice on the tablet and the size of the tablet makes it, in my opinion, ideal for games like Dungeon Hunter, Blitz Brigade and Heroes of Order and Chaos. What makes the size good is that you can hold the tablet comfortably and still not cover to much of the screen with your thumbs.
What games do you play on your Note 8? And are there any games that you think does extra well on a tablet than on a phone?
Need for Speed most wanted, real racing 3, minion madness, and nova 3. That eats up most of my internal memory. I have a few other small free game but the names are escaping me.
I have been very happy with the gaming ability of this tablet. Graphics look good and the games don't lag. I am very impressed with the screen. It's resolution isnt the best per say but man everything looks so clean, clear, and the colors are vivid. It looks much better than the nook hd and hd+ that l have and looks better than the older nexus 7 l had.
This tablet would be darn near perfect if they would include more memory and stop the random screen freezing problem.

(Edit: forgot about the riptide game, its a fun one with good graphics)
I used galaxy tab 2 7 p3100 before, with powerVR SGX541 GPU. What i m concern about our note 8 n5100 is the powerfull GPU, mali400mp. It does handle graphics very well than powervr sgx541 on my tab 2. I used to play The dark night rises, the amzing spiderman, avp evolution n NBA 2k13, n i m surprise, the graphics of that 4 games come a lot better. I realize that there are so many effects that don't show on my tab 2, show well n amazingly on our note 8. The character looks shiny, n does look better. AVP evolution, i love the graphic setting on its option. So, i set the graphic quality to high, n woww the graphic looks amazing. N for NBA2k13, this game really surprise me a lot when play for the first time on note 8. On note 8, there show a couple cheerleaders dancing when game got time out, they never show up when i play it on tab 2, the characters/players show really close to the real persons of the player. I used the same installer n same data game, so mali really optimized the graphics.
Ok here the list of the games that i installed on my note, work very well n has a amazing graphic beside the 4 games i mentioned above
1. Bladeslinger ep. 1
2. Bounty Arms
3. Dragon Slayer
4. Eternity Warrior 2
5. Man of Steel
6. Modern Combat 4 : Zero Hour
7. Real Racing 3
8. Real Boxing
9. NFS Most Wanted
10. FIFA 12
11. Shadowgun
12. Virtua Tennis
N here are the complete games i installed on my note 8, n of course, for the game that i don't mentioned above, the graphis are also good, except samurai shodown II (it's nostalgia related thing )

I have quite a few games installed, but I would like to bring attention to DraStic... An NDS emulator that was released a couple of days ago.
It is extremely well polished for a first release and provides full speed DS emulation on devices less powerful than our Note 8.0, so you can imagine just how fast it is.
This is certainly an app that works far better for us, than it would on a phone.
In portrait mode, you can hold the NDS XXL (aka Note 8.0) very comfortably and use the on screen controls, hardly covering anything of the bottom screen in the process.
There is support for external controllers as well, along with a host of useful features... such as Google drive save backup, and screen layout/switching on the fly.
The screen size and precision stylus of the Note 8.0 makes this emulator a perfect fit!
Edit: http://www.hunterdavis.com/2013/08/10/nds-emulator-drastic-raises-the-emulation-bar-very-very-high/

I have to try that DraStic NDS Emultor as i have a few favs to play on my Nintendo DS, hopefully one can copy savefiles from the M3card to the Android-device
Also for the people playing Real Racing 3, there is a little trick to make the game look even better than it already does, follow these simple steps in this thread and the game will look really awesome. Tho there will be some drop in framerate when you race Cup's with many cars on the screen.
I tried some of the games you mentioned but after couple minutes the battery drains big time. Just for instance gameloft game " fashion " from 80% it went down to 20-15% after maybe 10-15 mins playtime. I don't get to enjoy games . Guys, how long normally is the battery life of your tab when you play games? Thank you for the answer.

yup I'm satisfied on everything except for the gaming... it's drain heavily... and I'm still using stock ROM
I admit I'm disappointed in the gpu... is anyone else experiencing a touch of lag in Plants vs Zombies 2?
But for emulators and most games its sufficient. I have to remind myself I bought this device for the digitizer... My priority wasn't gaming. It's good enough, but not fantastic.
Zero lag on pvz2 (on early level though, haven't focus played it yet) for me the gpu was fine I even underclock it (in hope for better battery) and manage to play games smoothly... it is the battery usage while gaming that disappointing...

Nice...If you like ps1 games on the go. Check out ppsspp...so you can play your old psp games on the note 8. It's fast and it's furiously fun. Battery life is also good with emulators and to be honest, I don't know if any of the "casual" tablet games can even compare to a full blown psp title like tekken dark resurrection, soul calibur, the 3rd birthday, final fantasy crysis core, persona 3, monster hunter, god eater burst and kingdom hearts birth by sleep....it's not even 1.0 version yet and there's already some ad hoc multiplayer in the works....
I also have modern combat zero hour, batman, spiderman, asphalt but...ppsspp rocks! The note 8 is the perfect gaming/productivity/work tablet (just my 2 cents)...

Total War Battles
House of the Dead: Overkill
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (the original one)
Final Fantasy I, II
Chrono Trigger
Drakerider
Batman: Arkham City Lockdown
Sonic CD
Order & Chaos Online
Bladeslinger
The Dark Knight Rises
Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia Shadow & Flame
Horn
Rayman Jungle Run (great for kids)
Rayman Fiesta Run
Ikaruga (which would unfortunately also require the game to run in landscape but it was done for the dreamcast so maybe they could convince them to do it).
M&M Clash of Heroes
Dungeon Defenders
Samurai II: Vengeance
Samurai Showdown II
The Metal Slug series
Afterburner
Ravensword: Shadowlands
Super Hexagon
Raiden Legacy
After Burner Climax
I second MX Player
Dice Player (on something like this it would be great since it provides the windowed hover function on any device (and windowed functionality would be great on a device like this as it would make it more PC-like.)

You never updated the list.
WOW this thread died quick. Is it because no one from Mad Catz gave a damn about what we, their customers, wanted?
