Galaxy S Settings - Color Tuning - Fascinate General

I've been running JT1134/TeamHacksungs' ICS build 3. While running spectacularly, I've noticed the screen has a greenish hue. Was wondering if anyone has found optimal settings to use for RGB color tuning that closely matches the 230,230,270 RGB optimum nexus default tweaked through Voodoo Control. I just want blacks to look deep black, whites to look bright, and there be no prominent color hue. Anyone able to assist?

How to use Cyanogen settings?
How do i use the cyanogen setting, reduce brightness? It's way to bright on normal auto setting.
Anyone use the filters?

There is still a standard brightness in Display settings. Turn off auto brightness and set brightness manually down. Have not tried any filters.
I have done that i wad looking to reduce auto brightness amount.
I did figure it out. Go to cyanogen settings> display> backlight> custom settings. I'm the grid reduce the amount for the different levels then click save and apply.
*observations:
1) reducing by 2 makes a good difference.
2) to get settings to stick sometimes i had to uncheck use custom settings.
3) reboot to get settings to stick if uncheck didn't work.

Use samurai kernel, normal brightness goes much lower, or, use app called "screen filter"

Bad tint

My screen has a tarnish yellow tint that is very visible when looking at Web pages but I can only really see the tint when I look straight on at the phone. Is there a way to fix that and to fix the ugly black blotches in the dark?

If very easy to see yellow tint, go to Samsung service center. About blotch in the dark, that's normal

This is an international phone that is have in USA so if there is a way to fix it I would rather not send it in.

So, nothing wrong here, if you can use it normally.

Oh it's definitely usable I'm just picky about that kind of stuff but I assume it's fixable bc some things look whiter so I'm assuming it's software

You mean change color when browsing? When browsing, go to menu button, setting and brightness. Try change from there.

Just the white looks a yellowish in general on the device not just on the browser but I'd like an explanation why I only notice the tint when looking straight on not from the side
I also have very slight banding of darker pixels when the screen is gray...grr more and more I look at screen more problems I see

Gamma all messed up on Note 3's!?

Run display tester app and check your gamma guys. Mines 1.4 on all the colors on dynamic display setting, I changed it to professional photo and it barely made a difference

From Anandtech review :
"if you’re looking for the most sane from a color accuracy perspective it’s still Movie mode with the auto screen tone toggle unchecked"
Just run the app and check. On the s3 the gamma was perfect

Can we dim the menu and back keys?

Hey guys I recently bought the Lux Auto Brightness app which dims your display according to your environment. I would like to dim my hardware keys because when I'm in a pitch black room the keys are still bright......Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks
Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Up to my knowledge you can only shorten the duration of the back lit keys or turn them off completely. Settings>Display>Touch key light duration. I have my keys to not lit up at all and i like it.
i dont see that option in display

Screen calibration app/settings

Just wondering if there an app that allows for screen calibration (gamma, rgb.. Etc), or is a custom kernel required?
Thanks!

There's nothing like that afaik.
I would recommend the 'Movie' preset under screen settings, that one is quite well calibrated and makes the screen live up to iPad levels...
The Anandtech review is quite informative:
