I havent boot option in HBOOT. I have only reboot. What should I do?
I don't know what you are trying to do / achieve but, Reboot reboots the system and allows it to boot normally. Essentially doing the same thing as "boot"
but why all say"boot it in HBOOT". is reboot=boot?

I think you mean people say boot into hboot to flash a PC49IMG.zip or to check the hboot version etc etc not boot from hboot, there is no option to boot the phone directly from hboot the reboot option is in fastboot.

Just incase you didn't know you turn off the phone, hold the volume down button With the power button to boot into the hboot

I may be totally off track with this but to me, BOOT AND REBOOT are exactly the same. Doesn't reboot just simply mean to boot again hence the name REBOOT!!!!
"sent from me2u"
Maby s/he means when they hold the power button down they only get the option of reboot and power off ect and were confused as to how to enter the bootloader

why i can not go in HBOOT when my phone is connected to PC(usb debugging is on,charge only)?
You have to use following command to boot onto hboot:
adb reboot-bootloader

Hi there,
Yesterday i just wanted to reboot my DHD, but Revolution HD 3.6 did not came back.
The screen went automaticly to HBOOT mode.
So after removed the battery for some time and put it back. Pressed power button and Hboot mode came again. Also found that can not navigate through the menu via VOL+/-.
Tried many times with no success. So tried to find some informations on this forum but did not find similar thread to mine problem.
I don't know exactly, but maybe you have issue with VOL - button? mb it is 'stuck'??
I can't see other reason for phone to boot in HBOOT mode... if ROM is broken then it should load normally but then restart/throw error, dunno exactly it's behaviour if ROM is broken.
Power phone off by any method.
Hold vol- and press power.
Does this take you to recovery?
Also, please edit you thread subject to make it more specific. Obviously you're looking for help. "Need help" is hardly going to be useful to others.

Does not. Phone always goes to HBoot. Before I rebooted the phone everything worked perfect.
It happened when I woke up then I took the phone and turned on buzzer by pushing VOL+ button. After that Power button and "reboot". So rule out the possibility a problem with buttons

So if you select Recovery from the HBoot menu it restarts straight back in to HBoot again instead of going to recovery?
If that is the case I'm afraid you might have to select the Factory Reset option.
If that allows the phone to boot ok you should then be able to go back to recovery and restore a the last NAND backup.

The problem is that it is not possible to choice any option from HBoot menu.
Looks like VOL+/- are disabled. One post ago i wrote that HBoot is highlighted and Fastboot is highlighted. So if I click on power it should switch to Fasboot mode but it doesn't. Phone is stuck in Hboot mode.
Do you know if you used jkoljo's Radio S-OFF tool? If so you can flash the 1.32 PD98IMG.zip and start from scratch.
Should I follow with this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054304
No, that is for flashing radios. Find the downgrade thread and download the PD98IMG.zip from there. Is your handset branded?
is not branded and simlock free.
You shouldn't need a goldcard then, just place the downgrade PD98IMG.zip on your SDcard and boot into bootloader.
Got PD98IMG.zip on SD card.
Restart the phone. Phone start loading the file than stuck again on parsing.
nothing happend with PD98IMG.zip.
Any Ideas?
How long has it been stuck?
on this screen for 1 hour and bricked since Thursday
Ok, So the PD98IMG.zip failed. Have you tried the 1.32.405.x RUU~.exe?
Did. no sucess. Error 170
no communication but on command: fastboot devices I have a respond :
HT0A5RXO0924
command: adb devices says nothing
Ok lads,
I see all known methods and tools doesn't work but does anyone have an idea how to kill the informations on screen that the phone been rooted? or kill it totally?
In this cause I'll be able to the risk and send this phone to repair.
Ok, you can attempt to flash each component seperately within fastboot.
Unzip the PD98IMG.zip and move boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, radio.img to your SDK/tools folder.
Now use fastboot to flash these
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash radio radio.img
ok. trying
no success, see attachment
Hello!
I have a problem that does not look good ... I mean:
This to happen without touching the phone, was on the table and suddenly I've gone to look for my girlfriend warned that received no Whatsapps. I've looked and was half hanged, and as I could not restart, I had to remove the battery.
Well the problem is switched on, after the white screen "HTC" screen stays black again (off) and do nothing and turn it back on again is necessary to remove the battery.
I thought ... well, I will restore from the recovery, for nothing, by accessing the white menu (power button + vol-), choose the recovery and I do the same ... try to enter the recovery but does not enter. ..
Relief! What I can do??
regards
More details pls. What recovery do you use? What does it say when you try to enter recovery?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
My recovery is the CWM but I don't remember what version it is...I think it's the last one (5.0.2).
The problem is that the phone can't start correctly, it remains at the "htc" in green homescreen and that's all.
If I try to enter at the recovery, it does the same think and If I try to reset factory defaults does the same also.
I've tried to install the PC10IMG.zip rom (that I've used to root the phone) and it install it correctly but when it finish continue doing the same as before...
Thanks for your coop!
Best regards
So you can enter bootloader? (Power & volume - ) but from here you cant go to recovery? Do you have eng. Hboot?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Hello!
Yes...I can enter at the bootloader and I can also try to enter at recovery mode, but it cant finally enter...
I don't have Hboot (I think, because I don't know what it is) I rooted the phone long time ago and only install the CWM and it has the cyanogen mod rom...
Thanks
With eng hboot (0.84.2000 - i think) you could try to push a different recovery on your phone, if the recovery is the problem... Another thing you could do is press power + volume up and see if you can enter recovery this way...
There is also a irc channel where devs will help you... But i dont know the name right now
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Your problem is clockwork mod recovery.... unfortunately the latest releases cause it to not be able to boot into it. Download and push 4ext recovery and it should be the end of your woes
Edit: The irc channel you're looking for is #g2root on freenode. They'll help, but if you push the recovery and flash a new rom you should be fine.

You don't install Radio IMG files through CWM. Its not a rom, you don't flash these imges the same way. You need to be in fastboot mode to do that press and hold back and power button.
Connect your usb cable to the computer and type 'fastboot devices' in console. You need to have adb/fastboot setup. If you get a response your phone is not bricked
I did exactly wat it says in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909900
and everytime i tried getting into fastboot, bootloader, or recovery it just powers on and shows the htc magic screen

Do you have access into Hboot mode (volDown+powerkey) ,Fastboot(back key+powerkey) or Recovery (home+powerkey)? If not then your phone is bricked as you do not have a correct Radio image. If the radio is corrupted you do not have access in Fastboot, hboot, recovery mode and android.Try this and tell me

Hey everyone,
A couple months ago, my phone shut down and stopped working, it only did the 7 vibratios thing without responding any further, but today I tried plugging it to the charger and it booted into the HBoot. Now the problem is, the volume buttons are broken and I can't navigate the Hboot menu to reset it/flash it/whatever.
My question is: is there any way I could possibly get into recovery or basically do anything to flash it again/reset it without needing the volume buttons and only using the computer?
(I tried using adb prompts like adb reboot recovery but it says the device is not detected, however, it shows Hboot USB plug on the phone)
Tl;Dr: I need to navigate the hboot without the volume buttons.
If you boot normally does it take you to the splash screen? You can try it from there.
adb reboot recovery
Try adb devices as well.
Sent from a dream.
I don't think you can use adb commands from hboot.
If you plug the phone in to the PC while in hboot then press the power button on fastboot (i think it is the first option so no need for volume keys) it should say fastboot USB. You can flash an ruu in this mode.
Download an ruu.exe and run it on the PC. If everything is well with the hardware it will flash a rom and automatically boot into the new rom. You will need to root again and flash custom recovery after if you want to.

So my name is kinda weird. Sometimes glgps persists ans drains the battery. And I can't get into recovery. Here's a pic of my recovery. It seems like fields aren't filled in. (obviously i hid my serial) What gives?
thats normal, looks exactly like the ones I had, to get into recovery you have to hook up to usb
Your bootloader is still locked. You need to unlock to get into recovery.
Edit: Oops, my bad. You don't need to be unlocked to access recovery apparently.

It is a pic for your Bootloader (Fastboot Mode). Using Volume Up/Down, you can select wether boot the device, or reboot into recovery. When you selected what you want, press Power.
Also, yes the product name is fine : Grouper is the product name of Nexus 7.
first you need unlock

Thanks to the replies. You have to have USB to get into recovery? No other android device I've ever had , besides the Xoom needed that. You just selected recovery mode from boot loader. All well. I guess all are different.

Cept mine doesn't. When I select recovery mode it hangs at INI (white Google on a black background)
If you think the recovery is borked and want to reflash it , download the factory image from here, extract recovery.img from the image and put it in your platform-tools folder on your PC in ADB and once you are in bootloader from cmd prompt type
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
that is how I go back and forth between CWM and stock

Guys,
@animal gets stuck on google logo, that means the system is also broken..
You got to flash back the whole stock rom.

Do yourself a favor and download the Nexus 7 Toolkit from the Development section - it's allows you to do anything you need to via nice, easy to use menus (including downloading and reverting back to stock Google ROM). It's a *great* tool for the Nexus 7.
