Hi guys, please take a look at the following video.
It's not very clear but shows the problem I am having. As you can see when the game starts the car is positioned so far to the right of the screen, you can only see half of it!! It should be in the middle of the screen. Why is it like that?
I am on stock rom, screen density 240.
BTW. A fellow xda forum member sent me the apk file as I am unable to download it from samsung app store. (I deleted it using titanium backup when I got my Note).
Weired... I got my version from Samsung apps and its working flawlessly... I am on stock 2.3.6 rooted
I am using this, downloaded from Samsung n working flawless try it.
it is asphalt 6HD , free application for G-Note
In Option Control A working fine for me
Thanks Dr Ketan, I was thinking it might have been the apk file. I have cleared data and uninstalled the one I was running, will try your file now and report back.
Ok Dr Ketan I have just tried the file you uploaded. It installs fine but when you start it up it says:
Your device is not compatible with this game.
Please request a refund.
Galaxy Note here, stock rom, 2.3.6, rooted, screen density 240.

I got mine from samsung app. Works perfect.
Are any of you guys who have this working perfectly on a different screen density to the default 320?
I've tried 2 diff apks so far, one gave me the "incompatible device" message, the other one gave me this exact same error. Seems like we're out of luck.
Brazilian Note, Sheep ROM 2.0, AbyssNote kernel, default density.

If you find a working APK please let me know. I will do the same.
are you sure that your screen density is 320
cutom roms may changed that..
No, my screen density is 240 as I stated in the op.
Since Asphalt is not listed for my region, I downloaded apk file and it gives the same error popup - "Your device is not compatible with this game. Please request a refund."
I don't think whole game graphics fits in 1.8MB apk file. So when game fires, it must be checking for data files and giving that error.

No, that's not the issue. Even though the APK file is small, the data is downloaded once you actually run it as with most 'large' games. With the first APK file I tried, it downloaded the data just fine but gave the error as shown in the video in the OP. The second APK file said not compatible. I'm quite sure the APK file size is irrelevant.
Why don't you just download the samsung version? I got it for free and it works perfectly well. I just think that you're wasting time of many people over here. Try the samsung version and let us know if it works.

Flash 10.3 + Hulu_8 is version 10.3.186.3
Edit 2:
updated for new flash, thanks Almighty1 for the edited libflashplayer.so that's been put into the latest flash from market
and added a zip of the modded .so file. i had no problem installing it though after i uninstalled the previous version of the apk.
You can use root uninstaller from market to uninstall some of those apps, such as flash, that come pre-installed on your phone. If you do it that way, make sure to do a reboot after you uninstall flash to make sure it uninstalls all the way.
compuw22c has also made a flashable version if you guys prefer.

I've compiled them into a CWM flashable zip located in This Post or This DL Link. Details included in the post, credit goes to imneveral0ne for the hex-edited lib files. Enjoy guys! (actually, I'm not quite sure if you guys have this issue or if you have a GB leak out, but regardless, if it doesn't stick on reboot or in 4 days when you get your update, you'll be ready)

Basically, you need to be root. Extract the files to your phone (system -> /system, data -> /data) and reboot. You need to have stock flash installed. It basically patches the libflashplayer on startup so you don't have to manually.

3. Use Root Explorer or ADB to put the file in: /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib
4. If it asks if you want to overwrite the file chose yes, i know it will if you use root explorer, not sure about adb cause i didnt use it.
5. Enjoy Hulu on your ThunderBolt!

Hi everyone,i have a question about Gloft 9MM HD game.
I downloaded the apk from mobilephonetalk.com & tried to install when I was on FROYO.Game opened & did not show.me the CARRIER NETWORK option. So it meant qaWifi OnlyMode.txt doesn't work in newer Gloft games.I do not have wifi, so I went to one of my friend's place to download it.Then I opened the game & active wifi. Then it shew ”CHECKING REQUIRED FILES” dialog & suddenly it appeared ” ERROR OCCUR DOWNLOADING ADDITIONAL DATA.DO YOU WANT RETRY?".Even I press YES
(Retry) it always shew that error again & again.I thought that the game needs Gingerbread OS to run.Because a guy in mobilephonetalk has posted that game works on his Glacier (Official Gingerbread). So I updated to Gingerbread (Official Gingerbread Update, thanks to XDA forum) 3 days ago. Then I installed the game again & tried to download data.Unlucky I got that same problem again! I tried alot of times, tried restaring phone, tried clear the game' cache, but nothing works! Then I downloaded the game's additional data(SD data folder) from manually & tried to VERIFY SD DATA.Result is SAME.!...Why is this? Can not be Gloft servers problem,no.Then what? That guy(who has Glacier in mobilephonetalk) has successfully downloaded & play the game. Why can not i?I also have Official GB like him.
I pm him & asked about this problem in mobilephonetalk forum, but he never reply even he is online.
So please help me guys....
Don't worry, you are in the right place....This forum will solve all your issues.
First you need to download the cracked version of 9mm HD. Get it here.
Then download the files (about 658MB) & enjoy your game.......
This is tested & works well with all Android 2.2+

Hi guys
I am using a HTC Desire HD and I can not find the application in the market place.
So i've checked android market on my PC, I can see the natwest app but it is telling me that my device is not compatible. Any ideas?
Can I get hold of the APK from my brothers phone who is able to download it fine on his Galaxy S2?
Thanks!
It looks pretty cool. I need to save money so it would be good to have something to constantly remind me of how poor I am. I'm in Japan so I wouldn't be able to use it or install it from here.
I'm curious if you can install the APK and get it running. Root Explorer (File Manager) is the type of app which will easily find it probably in the data/app folder.
Seeing as it's a free app, if you can get the apk please pm me. I'd like to try it too just out of curiosity.
Have you modified your LCD density in your build.prop? Try changing it back to 240 then install from the market.
Hi Guys,
I have the exact same problem. Running Desire HD with AR 6.1.3. I am having problems downloading this app and a few others. I have tried the following with no luck.
- Changed LCD Density to 160 and cleared market data and cache
- Changed LCD Density to 240 and cleared market data and cache
- Used LCD Resolution to set the density instead of Rom Toolkit and repeated the steps above.
I am currently using market version 3.1.6 but have tried downgrading to market 3.1.5 but this did not help, also tried all of the above combinations whilst resetting the google services framework with no luck. (told this may help)
I do not understand the checks that the market / google perform on each device to determine compatibility but would it be possible they are checking for root via the SU command - maybe this was a condition of natwest being a secure app? (I have heard they have done this with google video)
This is the only app that I really need, and cant find an apk!
Thanks for any help!

True, but I wouldn't suggest installing a Banking app from anywhere other than the Android Market.
@alex-qts - Did you reboot between making the changes? AFAIK the only what the market would know if you had root was if it requested root, and you accepted it. I could be wrong.

I rebooted after every screen change, but each time I go to install I get the same yellow incompatibility bar and no download button. Strange thing is - I was also having this same issue for the autotrader app, and the LCD density / clear cache trick has worked for that app, but not the natwest? strange.

I had exactly this problem and also wanted to install this only from the Market.
I have had success by following these instructions to change the build fingerprint to something that is supported. I use ARHD 6.1.3.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18147141&postcount=53120
If it works then credit to wjsturgis3.
It contains the following edit to build.prop which fixes the market issue. The existing ro.build.fingerprint line is replaced with the following:
# Switch fingerprint when there is a US release of 2.3.5
# Original
# ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.5/GRJ90/150597.1:user/release-keys
# Modified for better Market access
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.3/GRI40/87995:user/release-keys
Rebooted and I was then able to download directly from the Market and have just passed security and it's working a treat.

That includes the fingerprint fix but I wouldn't use it as it also has some other items which you may not want, such as Advanced Power Menu.
To do it yourself - You need to be rooted, take a nandroid backup, and then take a copy of the original build.prop file found in /system/ - then just edit the original using ES File Explorer and the built in ES Note Editor to include the new fingerprint line:-
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.3/GRI40/87995:user/release-keys
AND put a # symbol at the beginning of the old ro.build.fingerprint line to comment it out. Still useful for future reference.
Reboot and it should work, but just for completeness, I also cleared the data from the Market in Settings>Applications.
Hope this helps,
John
thanks guys I can confirm that editing the build.prop file works! I now have the natwest app!
I simply used the following command to copy the build.prop file onto my computer, then edited and copied back to system folder using root explorer (renamed old build.prop that was in the system root)
adb pull /system/build.prop build.prop
Sorry if my instructions are not great, but it was my first time editing the build.prop file.
Thanks Again!

Well..the extreme would be factory reset/load stock fast boot images and OTA up to 4.1.2. Other possibilities - is there a possibility that your Wi-Fi connection is not cooperating with the Xoom? Did you move/remove any system files after routing that may cause a problem? If I had a clear cut answer I'd give it to you. Try some Google searching - you may be surprised with your findings.

Try going into your file manager delete some unused files : cache, downloads, any folder you don't need delete. This has always worked for me and frees up a ton of memory. Simply cleaning download manager and cache in recovery doesn't free up space as the files are still there.

The only reason for a download to be unsuccessful is a loss of connectivity... A timeout or inability to connect to the download server. That presumes the download starts but fails. If the download doesn't even start, that's a browser issue. The above also presumes you can download the files from other devices on your wifi.
Try going to another wifi hotspot. See if that makes any difference.
You didn't mention it, but I presume you have room left on your internal storage.

why not try another rom?!? i actually had this problem a lot running EOS a few builds ago and now it seems to have disappeared. usually Dolphin would work when others would not. titanium backup and factory reset?
I was having the same issue with CM 10.1 a couple of weeks ago, stock browser would not download properly and over screen browser seemed tobe much better. Later nightlies seem to have resolved the issue so most likely ROM based. Try another ROM and see if it clears the problem.
Good luck and hope you sort it out.

I am currently running the latest paranoid android Rom on my nexus 4 using Franco's milestone 2 kernel. I am having problems installing apps that I downloaded (e.g., Adobe flash update). What happens is I can see the installation screen with the different permissions, but I cannot click on the install button. It works when I install apps from the play store but not through root browser, astro, es explorer. I have tried other apks to make sure it's not just that one file. As well, I had even removed those dimmer apps like twilight and lux before installing. I also stopped the running applications and then tried installing. I'm stumped and I have no idea what to try next. Maybe there is another uncommon app that I need to uninstall before installing off my card...
If anyone has any suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Disable HALO if you want to install apk`s.
Geez. You know how to flash paranoid android but not how to search? This has been mentioned many times..
Disable screen filter if you by any chance using it
It happened to me yesterday and it was found it was caused by file screen.

Disable Halo, then you can install it.
If you actually looked through the PA thread, you'd see this has been answered over 50 times within the last few pages.

you can not install adobe flash from the play store, flash does not support android 4.2.2. yoy would need to install it from the adobe site list of past flash updates. same with any other app from the play store that doesnt support the nexus 4 or the right android version.
thanks
this was very helpfull

AppWidgetDisplay
Also AppWidgetDisplay for Sony Smartwatch causes such behavior.
There is another way which will always work, If you don't want to waste your time.
Just use adb to install. As shown in the post below.
