..but, am uncertain about the "validity" of this online shop.
Anyone have experience with this merchent?
http://www.cellgsmphones.com/conten...omnia_7_16gb_unlocked_gsm_phone_preorder.html
there is no 16 giga version for the omnia7
Thats wrong. There is such a version - for example in Germany.
If this site got the 16GB Version is a different matter tough.
These shops have the 16GB Versions http://geizhals.at/eu/a582829.html
watch out for the German T-Mobile Branded Omnia 7. It's not released right now, we have to wait 2-3 weeks.
Not 2-3 weeks. I just got an email that the place where I bought it will send it to me on Friday.
Most sites on the Internet says 16th or 18th though.
Where did you buy it, the most shops i asked about the 16GB version said 2-3 weeks.
I bought it with a contract on an ebay store.
I guess thats not what you are looking for.
But on amazon.de there are for example a few shops with a delivery on 18th.
If you search on google you will see the other stores with 16th (I have doubts that they really get it delivered by then, but thats what they say)
Anyone found one outside of Germany? Also, are the German ones unlocked and usable abroad?
Starting to get tired of waiting for the Dell Venue Pro.
A t-mobile phone is a t-mobile phone as far as i know. You can buy it from the link i posted earlier this morning sim free from deutsche telekom *aka t-mobile*
***posted this earlier****
It's with deutsche telekom you can get the 16gb version.
Found the link.

T-Mobile US and UK are not compatible so I need to be sure there's no issue between Germany and UK as that would be a waste of my money .

I travel europe and get no issues apart from roaming charges , i am in live chat with them now, it's worth a laugh later, my bad german 5 min, then he asks "do i speak english...fu**ing classic*
What I meant was... If it's locked to T-Mobile DE, would it be ok with T-Mobile UK.
On a side note I wasn't expecting such a high price, maybe 100€ less...

Yeah maybe compared to the 8GB but the PAYG HD7 is only £380 and also 16GB, even if you pay to unlock it you won't go above £400 .
I might have to wait for the Dell Venue Pro afterall and upgrade the SD card.

I've had a HTC from the MDA pro, TyTnII, Touch Pro 2, HD2, and now the Samsung, Why... put two next to each other When HTC front the cash and jump Samsung again with a new model back i go
I've got the German Omnia and it is definitely not locked to T-Mobile, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it with o2
The phone has no hardware branding but software branding with some uninstallable software and a customized search within IE (instead of Bing you get a Google based Telekom search). The biggest problem so far is that the MMS settings are locked to T-Mobile and are not customizable, so I can't sent or receive MMS (for me, it's no big deal, but for some it is...).
Furthermore, you can get the phone from other stores as well: Geizhals (local price search) has an overview of several shops that have the phone and are also cheaper than T-Mobile. The shop with the lowest price (handyattacke.de) also mentions that it might be possible to ship to other countries, but you have to ask them ("Lieferung in weitere Länder auf Anfrage."). Might be worth a try

LOL! Thats pretty funny... No offense, but let me guess, your german was coming from google translate or something like that? At least you´ve tried it!
Was today in a T-Mobile Shop in Germany and was asking the guy there about the Omnia 7. He confirmed me that all the T-Mobile branded Omnia 7 which are sold in Germany have 16GB memory and are not locked... That means you just have to find a Online Shop in Germany who send it to Europe to get a 16GB one. The only things you have to accept are the mms problem, startscreen from T-mobile for 2 seconds and the T-mobile Search. But Im sure with the time somebody here solve that problems...

I don't believe it's going to available in the UK soon so why not saving a lot of money and order it in Hongkong at panamoz.com? They're very reliable. Got mine there, paid by Paypal and then I got tracking information soon. Ordered it on 06/01 and it was in London 11/01. They pay all duty and import taxes for you.

Payed through paypal. They also have both wifi only and 3g versions available.
i ordered mine from Ebay Ecell.

they say they wait for money to clear on their bank account, but i suspect they are just getting it somewhere else in the world and shipping them

Hey guys - United States person looking to import here - the English that is on it, is it UK version or NA version (or is selectable between both?)
It might be a stupid question but I'd love to import it instead of waiting for Verizon to get it in a years time...
Hi - Do you still have he SGT 7.7 for sale?
If so is it the 3G version? How much is it and where are you based.

Panamoz
I bought a 16gb 3G version from Panamoz. I ordered it 17th Jan (evening time) and it arrived on 20th Jan (morning). I selected English UK language during start up and rooted it straight away using the guide for 'root.zip' found in xda forums. It's already done an OTA update (I thought rooting would stop this!). It's working great. I highly recommend Panamoz AND The 7.7 Tab!
I've been using it with a UK T-Mobile sim with no issues, also various WiFi hotspots all appear to work OK.
I don't know of any difference between EU and HK versions, other than language options - but I may be wrong!

Does the Panamoz version comes with the IR port?
Negri Electronics has the 3g version but not the wifi only. My guess is that pretty much all that are out there are HK stock which means no IR.

From what I red here, it will be available on Google Play and in SFR shops (one of the four French big carriers).
Not sure the availabilty in the shop is guaranteed at the beginning, but for early December it should be OK.

Well, I heard there was a scandal last year because they started selling locked Gnex.
I'm pretty sure they won't make the same mistake this time
As for the price, none can tell already, not sure if they will align theirs with Play Store ones (299/349 € for a 8/16 GB)

About what ?
The price ? Here in France, unfortunately, it is almost always 1$=1€ (due to value added tax, customs, ...)
The simlock ? It would surprise me. Anyway, bootloader is unlocked, that means root, that means usually pretty easy to remove a potential simlock.

Dunnow yet.
It says they will have them end of November.
I just checked on their website if they are selling the Nexus 7 Tablet.
They do, for example the 16GB version. Unfortunately, I think they still have the old price (249€, and google changed it recently to 199, 249 being the 32GB now)
Apparently, SFR and others will sell it a bit more expensive to compensate... But still, if you have an address, you can order like 2 days before arrival and you may have it

I live in France, and don't think sfr send the phone alone. (I mean with no contract).
And you can be sure, it was sim locked.(like all our phone).
The simply way for you to have a simfree phone in December in France is shop (Fnac, Boulanger, PhoneHouse) they are many in Paris.

Yes I did. Bought it at launch. For the same price as in the US, I got a fast wireless charger, OEM case, Bluetooth speaker, and cash voucher thrown in. Quite a good deal I must say.
I split my time between the US, Europe, and Bangkok. I don't get my phones in the US anymore (from AT&T) because they are locked, have less LTE bands and, most importantly, don't offer dual SIM versions!

UK is still in the EU, for now. And since it's sold by Amazon they ship to every country inside the EU. Too bad that is most likely going to change for UK after the separation. I always prefer to buy from DE because it's cheaper most of the time. And now they even translated the German site officially in English so it's easier to work with.
