This is an update I just got on the Galaxy Note Facebook page. Looks pretty frikin awesome.

picture is not an actual phone just something made up off this rumor:
Samsung may have only recently launched its latest Android flagship collaboration with Google, the Galaxy Nexus, but the push is reportedly on for the next big thing for the Galaxy line-up. According to a report straight out of Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S3 could be on its way to Mobile World Congress 2012 — and launch a few months later.
We had already heard that the Galaxy S3 would pack Samsung’s own Exynos 4412 processor, a 32nm quad-core chip based on the ARM Cortex A9 architecture. That’s a terrific boost in hardware over the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Nexus, at least on paper — the jury’s still out on whether or not a quad-core chip is really worth putting in a phone or tablet when most apps aren’t designed with multithreading in mind.
It’s a necessary progression, however, when competitors like HTC are known to be working on similar devices. HTC’s Zeta is expected to arrive during the same time frame, and with Qualcomm promising that its Snapdragon S4 would be ready to power retail devices early in 2012 there will no doubt be other models on the way.
As for what else Samsung is going to cram into the Galaxy S3, the list of rumored specs certainly looks drool-worthy. In addition to the Exynos 4412, there could be a 12MP camera, 720×1280 Super AMOLED Plus display, LTE support, twice as much RAM as any current superphone at 2GB, and Android 4.0. Of course, until Samsung shows us something (or someone else gets their hands on one) we won’t know how closely that hardware lines up with reality.
Keep your eyes peeled for news out of MWC when its kicks off in Barcelona on February 27.

The Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Wave s8500 are practically twins with the Galaxy S using a bigger screen and the Android OS.
Problem is the Android Powered Samsung Galaxy S is almost two times the cost of the samsung wave s8500!
Now i dont know whether this is a tactical ploy by samsung to promote its own inhouse BADA operating system but the price difference between the two phones is really an eye opener.
The good android phones and the Iphones are a bit too expensive for my taste costing as much as an entry level laptop.
Now samsung came up with the Samsung Wave s8500 which has all the power of the More expensive Smasung galaxy S
yet at only 60 percent of the price.
granted the samsung galaxy s has a larger screen and uses Android but thats about it.
- Both phones use the The 1ghz hummingbird processor
- (Cortex A8 processor PLUS a powervr sgx 535.. much better combo than the qualcomm snapdragon processor)
- Both Phones have 5 meg cameras PLUS 720p recording
- Both use super Amoled Screens with the bigger screen going to to the Samsung galaxy S
- Both have 512mb of system memory
- I just dont get it why the Samsung Galaxy S costs almost twice the samsung wave 8500
- Maybe Samsung did this intentionally knowing most people would go for the cheaper yet identically spec-ed phone suppoting their own BAda OS.
-
Still since the hardware under the hood is so similar is it possible to port the Android OS from the samsung galaxy to the samsung wave 8500?
I just like the samsung wave's price better
(prices for Samsung galaxy s in my country 32,000 pesos or 687.433 USD
Samsung Wave S8500 in my country 18,300 pesos or 393.464 USD

I got this too, and it is saying dual core 1.2Ghz Processor now (on the 3G model)
I'm guessing the 1.2GHz is a mistake on Vodafone's part. There was a lot of confusion on some websites whether the Samsung Galaxy S II had 1GHz or 1.2GHz so this could be a similar thing. If the UK version does have 1.2GHz Exynos chip then that would be super awesome as it's video playback support is much better than Tegra 2.
I have a feeling that that will turn out to be incorrect... Samsung have a track record of stamping on our hearts and souls and sitting back to watch the disappointment they have caused.
The 1.2GHz is not the only thing that's different to specs i have seen until today.
The Vodafone site says: Bluetooth 3.0
I just double checked and both gsmarena and phonearena say Bluetooth 2.1
I think someone has seen the SG2 and made a mistake with the 1.2GHz.

"Samsung has made the Galaxy S II LTE smartphone that we learned about late last week official, ahead of its unveiling at the IFA technology trade show in Berlin, Germany later this week. The Galaxy S II LTE features a number of upgrades over its non-4G brother, aside from just the faster data connection.
The LTE-equipped edition of the Galaxy S II sports a larger, 4.5-inch, Super AMOLED Plus display, though no mention if whether or not it has the same WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution as its predecessor (for the record, we're guessing it does). The dual-core processor has seen a bump in speed to 1.5GHz, while the battery has been increased in capacity to 1,850mAh. The rear of the Galaxy S II LTE now has a brushed-metal look, different from the textured back of the original. Samsung claims that the Galaxy S II LTE is the world's first LTE/WCDMA/GSM multi-mode smartphone.
Samsung has yet to reveal exact pricing and availability of the new Galaxy S II LTE, but we should know more later on this week."
Drool on what? The glass display and $900 price tag? Pass.
I voided my warranty and your mum.
Lol ill go only if @jkay and @leomar go as well and Samsung promises same number of updates as sgs2, otherwise I'm staying right here.

What's the word on atnt's gs2 version? Is it tegra or Mali? I wish nvidia had incorporated neon into tegra2
It would've been even more of a beast. And any word if the bootloader on any of the carrier versions going to be unlocked?
I'm guessing this is a Qualcomm model.
Quite possibly a qualcomm if its 1.5. The exynos can go that high but the heat is gratuitous. I don't think its going to ti's omap 4460.
And if it is qualcomm and the 1.5 isn't overclocked already, it could possibly go 2.0. Qualcomm chips are usually good for overclocking and undervolting. And I would have to venture the gpu is going to be adreno220. Does that have neon built in and how does it compare to tegra2?
I voided my warranty and your mum.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date set for October with Exynos 5250 processor
When the Galaxy Note 2 will released and will Samsung be able to surprise the world again?
The Galaxy Note 2 release date is set to October 2012 and it will feature slightly larger display 5.5-inch display and dual-core Exynos 5250 processor.
It’s been over half a year since the Galaxy Note was released and over 7 million units are sold worldwide and Samsung plans to sell around 10 million Galaxy Notes. Due to its incredible success Samsung has started to work on its predecessor the Galaxy Note 2.
Information about upcoming Galaxy Note 2 is limited but we know its name and when it will be released but the rest is mystery. We know that the Galaxy S3 will be inspired from the Galaxy S3 so it will look similar and feature the same technologies and services like S Beam, S Voice, NFC, SmartStay and others.
It is reported that the Galaxy Note will have slightly larger 5.5-inch display with WSXGA+ (1680×1050) and 360 pixel density. Why no Full HD resolution? Human eye can’t perceive separate pixels if the pixel density is over 300 ppi, it means that going above it is pointless. The Galaxy Note 2 will feature Super AMOLED (non-Plus) display from PenTile matrix family because these displays last longer and are more power efficient that true RGB AMOLED Plus displays.
Before the Galaxy S3 was announced, there were rumors that it will have the Exynos 5250 processor which is built on latest ARM Cortex-A15 CPU processor architecture but that didn’t turn out to be true. Samsung has Exynos 5250 processor on its arsenal and it would be logical to use it for the Galaxy Note 2 due to its performance and power efficiency.
The Galaxy Note 2 will have 8-megapixel camera with improved lens and image sensor for better images and videos. RAM will be increased to 1.5 GB and the 4G LTE connection will come by default for international version.
The Galaxy Note 2 design will be similar to its smaller bother, the Galaxy S3 and above you can see an image to get an idea how it will look like. Last two devices, the Galaxy S3 and Focus 2 clearly shows where Samsung is going with its industrial design.
The Galaxy Note 2 release date is scheduled for October 2012
The release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is not yet confirmed and could be inaccurate as we are few months away from its debut. Once we will know more about the Galaxy Note 2 and its release date we will let you know so consider subscribing to our Facebook or Google+ page to find out more.

skipped buying SGS3 for now. another 4 months to go for Exynos 5250 1.5ghz quad core or 2.0ghz dual code
Time to start saving my pennies sure its all speculation, but it makes perfect sense

I do like the 5.3 inch screen on my note but if it goes to 5.5, we may honestly start getting to the point where its just too big for a phone...
Maybe speculations, but I'm ready to buy one
Screen could be bigger without increasing final device size... So, It could be great!

at 5.5" screen display is still acceptable for me...
so Exynos 5250 processor is 1.5 quad core or 2.0 dual core ?
I seriously hope this is not true, as much as I want the Note 2 I have to say its too soon, less than a year is just just too soon and also sends out the message ,'note 1 was a failure but since we see potential we release a Note 2 in less than a year'.
If this happens its gonna upset so many consumers who just bought the Note 1. Hoping that this article is not true I have to say, I'll believe it when I see it.

My pocket can endure 0.2" added bashing. But I guess physical size will remain the same and slightly thinner than current GNote.
This is basically a spam blog meant to generate page views.
The author literally just made **** up for hits. He has nothing to go on but speculation.
This is only speculation the 'reporter' can't even write properly and there are no source attached

Using the note1, i'm pretty much convinced it's the phone for me, as for note2, I'll see when it comes out. Releasing it in October is really too soon, wonder if it's just another trick of Samsung to try and deter consumers from buying phones from competitors by making us wait for note2 or they've really gotten hold of enough market stats to have decided on the note2's design, chipset etc.

Anybody's guess. I am sure their guess about screen size is wrong.
@Galaxy Note™…
To everyone saying its too soon you need to realize that the Galaxy note has been out since october in europe. So if it is scheduled for a october announcement it isn't too soon. Its given a year the way technology is moving. I was looking to get the note but I will wait longer just to see. My sister in law has it and I love it when I get to play with the note. Besides it might be released in october but the way carriers screw us in the states we won't see it till february like the first note.

hmmm my theory, if they wont announce higher resolution then note 2 screen size will be the same, because what's the point making bigger screen with same resolution and lower ppi? also i think that it will be something similar to s3 features + some spen features.
It’s 2015 and hence time for a new Galaxy S Series flagship from Samsung. In earlier reports Samsung has claimed that it will completely change what we have witnessed in the Galaxy S line so far, starting from scratch there will be an all new Galaxy S6. As it goes for a Samsung flagship, the specifications that the Galaxy S6 will hold will be nothing short of impressing but the dream to get 4 Gigs of Ram isn’t just here yet. The Galaxy S6 is already cooking up and not a long time back arrived in India for R&D purposes, hence our sources have managed to secure some information on the specifications the flagship will boast.
These specifications are intended for the Asian units, that have since beginning relied on the Exynos SoC’s. The variants intended for the North American and European markets will be using a Snapdragon SoC’s instead (Snapdragon 810 Likely), while keeping the Ram, Display, Battery and undisclosed specs identical.
Also beside the already anticipated spec-sheet, the Galaxy S6 will be using a Metal Exterior (similar to Galaxy A Series) with a new much slimmer design. Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to share your thoughts about the next Galaxy S flagship.
SPECS:
5.2 Inch Quad HD Display (Amoled)
3GB Ram & 64GB Internal Storage (Micro SD Missing in test Units)
Non-removable Battery (2800mAh)
Exynos 7420 Octa-Core Processor (Dual Quad-Core)
Finger Print Scanner
Heart Rate Monitor
Android 5.0.1 (running units)
20MP Rear & 5MP Front Camera Unit
The specs are pretty much accurate (not very hard to guess as they've been predicatble for years.) but that picture/render is wishful thinking.
Aside from the fact that test units come in fake cases, as they've always done, these leaked images are always fake, every year in a row.

It's looking like this will fix all the wrongs of the S5:
Class leading CPU/GPU on 14nm
Premium metal build
Touch based fingerprint sensor
20 mp 2nd gen Samsung ISOCELL sensor with phase detect autofocus and OIS
The next evolution of AMOLED
I'll be all over this as long as Touchwiz is not a complete disaster
Samsung Galaxy S6 Specifications
Samsung Galaxy S6 may come up with a Exynos 7420 processor as Samsung may drop Snapdragon 810 due to heating issues. It may be announced at MWC 2015.

Here is the leaked design of Samsung S6
http://androidjail.com/samsung-galaxy-s6-specification-body-leaked/85
The quad hd is a mess . in normal use , practically you don't need it
This post is misleading about rumors
Do you think that will be hard to have bug free custom roms with the exynos cpu?
I'm looking forward to March 1st... there should be some pretty cool info at the unveiling.
I'm all in for another Galaxy, but all these leaks without a sdcard slot make me a bit nervous.
Don't give your hopes up guys and really don't put too much stock into all these leaks. For the last few years all the supposed reliable leaks have been wrong and Samsung basically reintroduced the same damn phone. Well their not getting me this year no more hurt feelings, so until I see add to cart next to a s6 picture the new s6 is the s5 with upgraded hardware
Moto X 2014
Prediction: S6 will be an uglified but high spec S5, much like the S5 was an uglified S4 with better internals. Add the new crown jewel Exynos SoC, revamped KNOX and Samsung's traditional hamfisted massacre of Android, and I further predict less dev support than ever.
hi
i phone 5 and s6 this kind of better, I want to buy either and are wondering
2800 mah battery? omg! why samsung not trying to improve battery performance? 2800 mah will be enough?
Thread Closed.
