So i side loaded watch espn using the .apk from my thunderbolt, but the video is not fullscreen. Does anyone else use this app and is able to get the video full screen. I've tried searching google and found some others having the issue on other tablets but no solutions.
The menus are full screen, just when it loads the video it's not. Id appreciate any help.

When i open HTC YouTube app it doesn't load the thumbnails of the videos, only the gray tv icons! Does anyone else have same issue?
How can i fix this?
Thanks!
yes i have the same problem! i've searched for some answers and no luck. the google youtube works fine but it's not the same quality.
Me too! The same problem with HTC's Youtube client.
I noticed that under the history tab, some old videos i had viewed about a week ago had their thumbnails displayed whereas the more recent videos had none (an active internet connection is required to load these 'history thumbnails').
Also, from a "fresh" list of videos,if you click on the description button (!), a thumbnail sometimes loads on the description screen.
This leads me to conclude it's not the software, but somehow Youtube has stopped sending/changed the preview pictures that accompany the video description.
Is this just a temporary glitch, or does Google want us all to switch to its own viewer?
guys
go for the offical youtube app from google
its work for me and its faster than the htc youtube

yeah o dont reallu like the google youtube version its faster but less quality. anyway i was having the same problem now is working fine. maybe it was a problem on the youtube server or maybe upgrading my sprint rom to the latest htc version fixed it.
Just got my a500 and love it. I like being able to view flash sites and my wife watches streaming videos a lot. She is able to watch ABC.com but not nbc.com videos. Her coworker got the transformer and was able to play nbc.com videos on his stock browser. Wondering why it doesn't work on iconia. I've tried all other browsers, ie dolphine, skyfire, opera, but no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
No luck here either.
Alright, thanks. Hope someone figures it out. I wouldn't mind it so much if Asus Transformer weren't able to view it as well.
cant get it to work either but I use an app called "TV shows stream" and it lets me watch all the TV shows/series I want. Works well on iconia.
Yes it does, I watch TV shows with this app all the time.

I'm streaming the office right now... try after updating to flash 10.3
Are you talking about the paid version? Cuz the lite version doesn't have the shows. Also it would be nice to figure out how to get the nbc.com to work.
soon as I received my Acer iconia A500 I rooted it and went on the browser and tried the old trick. you know about:debug then it gave me the debug option once inside there I change the uaString to desktop just in case to avoid being redirected to a mobile site.
I went to nbc and I was able to play the office but it was kinda choppy and when I tried to long press full screen the screen just turn black.
I have the same problem!
I am on the phone with acer, do not by an acer the support makes dells look like the best ever. These people suck, and want to charge me to show me how to get the iconia to work on nbc.com/the office and yahoo news videos. I am taking it back!
I was trying to watch a youtube video. In the youtube app, it just shows "buffering... " and does not play. Using the browser, only the circular loading screen showed. Note that everything else loads like the comments, views etc.
However, i can view embedded youtube videos. Now im confused. I think it has to do with the youtube mobile player since the regular player for pc was able to play the embedded video.
Do you know any fix? Thanks.
So I'm sure it is well known that the nexus 7 doesn't have flash, however for embedded youtube videos that most likely use html 5 ( I know because I can play them on my ipad just fine) I cant seem to get the video working well on the nexus 7. for example, I tried loading up a roosterteeth.com video, (doesn't matter which one all of them are the same) and the video plays but I have no control over it, no scan bar, no full screen, and the video is choppy. this is one terrible experience that I really wish someone could figure out how to fix. at one point I was using dolphin and once it asked me if I wanna play the video using a stock video app, however that only worked that one time and only in dolphin. Someone HELP!
Bump, anyone have tips?

I'm also wondering this, any ideas?
Hi All,
I realise there is already a huge thread about the MK809II but I wanted to focus specifically on streaming media to it as I had hoped this would be its main use for me.
The first thing I installed was the iPlayer app. I have been quite disappointed with this as the streaming quality is very poor despite setting the app to use the highest quality available and my TV only being 720p to start. The iPlayer website generally works well when using firefox with the Desktop By Default add on. When available I can play the HD streams without any problem and even SD streams are better quality than the app.
4oD was my second installation. This has frustrated me even more. By default this will not play to HDMI out. My MK809II came rooted so I was able to hide the HDMI out from the app as described (I would've posted a link but I'm not allowed! Its easily found by googling). Now the app allows me to start playing a show but sits continually on a black screen with a buffering icon. I have tried instead to download a show, although there aren't many available, this does seem to download a significant proportion of the show but I always get the message 'Download failed'. Over the last couple of days despite not watching anything the app has downloaded over 2Gb of data! I have read that it will also fail to work if the device is rooted, I haven't had a specific warning about this but again tried another app to hide the fact that its rooted and restarted 4oD but the same black screen appears.
So I thought I could get round this by using the web site as I had with iPlayer, this allows me to log in ad browse around but I encounter the same black screen and buffering icon.
I haven't attempted SkyGO yet, I'm not feeling confident of getting anywhere with that if I can get 4oD to work! Nor have I tried ITV or Channel5.
For myself and others as anyone got a setup that works better than this or used other streaming services? Maybe decent quality out the iPlayer app - or anything out of 4oD?
