Anyone get Lets Golf?

Anyone get Lets Golf to work? I tried a free download and it don't work and also tried to download from Gameloft with no luck.

OMG Those are some of the best looking games I've seen for mobile!!
Those games don't look far behind the PSP.
I'll be trying out HAWX tonight
And I'll give Let's Golf a try too, I'll let you know if it works for me.

Game Loft is putting out some great games.. It makes me wish I had a droid just for the keyboard. ( I need to buy one of them external mini keyboards.

This is by far the BEST online multilayer game for the android. (or so it looks)
I'm a FPS guy. And this looks very smooth for a phone. (heck! for a psp too)

Like I said above I'll be trying at least one or two of them tonight but the more I look at their site the more doubt I have these games will run well on the hero, they seem to be pretty... graphically intensive. And they are presented as running on a motodroid
We'll see. I will definitely be reading their refund policy first

I have all the gameloft games on my pre and I can say that they look good, but they are really hard to play on touchscreen controls. I do agree that they are pretty much psp quality. Especially let's golf and asphalt 5.
People have complained that it is choppy on the Nexus One. I wonder how they will be on the Evo.

I don't see these games on the market.. Where can I get them?

I know but you don't get updates that way..
There is no way to buy it where you get updates too??

I was curious so I checked their site:

I am like you guys.. I would prefer to try games in the Market so I can get updates and the 24hr return policy.

I wouldn't buy if I couldn't get a refund if it doesn't work on my phone. 7 bucks is a lot of money to gamble with for a game that I wouldn't use that often.

Anyone buy any of gamelofts games from there site to sere if they work on our heros okay yet?

I tried but it only gives Verizon as a carrier and Hero is not listed under phones so I could not complete the order.

Hmm Well I decided to DL it from a warez site just now to make sure it worked before I bought it and it only shows 1/4 of the screen.
BUT
That could be because I didn't get it from there site idk.
I don't want to be out of 7 bucks so i will just stick to thinking it will only show 1/4 of the screen.

Just tried prince of persia and it works really smooth
I nova and hawx and they don't work well hawx said some nonsense about this copy is not an original actual quote from prince of persia " This creature doesn't seem like it wants a cup of sugar" no when they come at you with swords they usually don't

3d games on evo

so i have an apk for nova and i installed it on my evo, when i try to run it it says it needs to download some files and then after it does that and i click to start it exits and the phone goes to the home screen, any idea whats going on. i tried to download nova from gamelofts website but it just says motorola droid and verizon as the carrier, thanks!

Asphalt 5 lags like hell on phone too!! Maybe it was cuz I was using a warez version just cuz I wanted to check it out but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to download games from gameloft? Cuz like the op says for carrier it only has Verizon. I was wondering if I should just put Verizon and then Droid with MY phone number and see if I get the text with the link. Has anyone from Sprint bought any Apps from gameloft?

Yeah just so ya'll know it's not just the phone that matters. it's the game itself and how it's developed. GameLoft is notorious for making poorly optimized games. Asphalt is one. The newest release though is much smoother so check that one out. And if anyone downloads warez don't post about it on these forums. We don't deal with warez. But just to answer the OPs question, yes, it's cause it's a warez version. Gangstar and Modern Sandstorm Combat had the same issues. If you like the game, buy it. They're only five bucks.

[2011-05-24] Running Tegra-based Games using Chainfire3D :)

I just sold my SGS1 and bought an SGS2. but well, something is giving me... headaches...
Well, first thing I thought: This phone is so new that applications don't support it yet! (*EDIT* The first thing was right. It's all application support issues..)
My guess is... I need to upgrade my ROM. (*EDIT* Wrong. We need to wait, or get a plugin for Chainfire3D.)

The truth is that most HD games available right now weren't designed for the MALI-400 GPU chipset of Galaxy S 2, but instead for NVIDIA's Tegra devices.
These devices use a hardware-accelerated texture-compression algorithm (S3TC\DXTn, n € 1,2,3,5) that IS NOT SUPPORTED IN MALI-400
So the most simple solution is hoping that SGS2 hits BIG on the sales market, so that Devs start to make HD Games for SGS2. IMHO, it will happen soon.
Another solution is to use Chainfire 3D tool and Plugin API to make a conversion plugin.
The plugins are illegal to distribute, but a simple Googling will give some results
Right now, I was unable to produce my own plugin (too much coding involved) and the plugins we've found online crash on most games.
So current step is: Code better plugins, OR, Wait for a better Chainfire3D version (driver)

The games u see on youtube may be downloaded from games hub...
Somes games on SGS 1 still work on SGS II, u may try the games listed in app and theme section.

Not sure about most of these but I know that Dungeon Defenders doesn't work because it's for Tegra processors only.

- Reckless Racing is not on Gameshub.....
There must be some system corruption! SpeedX looks EXACTLY like running it on HTC Magic. Believe me, no textures.

Reckless Racing from the Market works fine on my SGS2. Is this RR Lite, or the full version, and did you install it through the Market?

Dungeon Defenders doesn't work, Reckless Racing does! I hope all developers start making some SGS 2 compatible versions of the existing games this is terrible.

Pretty sure the Tegra one isn't out yet
But I'm interested to know if what The Right Honourable Sir pulser_g2 (to use the proper honorific) linked to allows you to play all Tegra 2 games, or just a decent subset?

! You need to share those plugins! The second I get my s2 I'm going to buy the chainfire 3d app. And possibly donate too. I mean just out of principal what that guy is doing is pure diluted awesomeness.

Yes This is Currently happening with SE changing stuff constantly we dont get any confirmation on small tweaks

Lol, whats happened my phone is doing the same thing a hour ago i had 3 apps now down to 1 its probaly scrolling through apps.

I guess its time that app can go away. I never really used it for anything other than just seeing what games were available, but i already have like 3 apps that do that!.... lol

How did you guys install it in the first place? I got to it on the Android Market in my PC browser from the Xperia PLAY page on Qualcomm's Snapdragon showcase site but it only lets me send it to my HP TouchPad! R800at is grayed out in the list.

Id try side loading it.. It may just be that its not "officially" compatible buy works fine.
There's always a good argument for backing up you packages, using titanium or similar, just for situations like these.

can you post the apk as it is not allowed in my country .
