[Q] Samsung Keyboard on Xoom - Xoom General

Is there possible to add the samsung keyboard (from Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 8.9 etc) to XOOM;
I am asking because it has Greek language and it is very handy.

This isn't the same but have you looked at Swiftkey X maybe it has Greek?
Edit never mind NO Greek.

Ι am using Multilig now, but I like the Samsung keyboard more..

Was going to say the ICS keyboard so far is my favorite, but it doesn't have Greek.

[Q] how to install touchwizz 4?

hello I just take my tab 10.1 from bulgarian mobile operator mtel' but this version is without the touchwizz... how to install it?
I'm currently reading a lot about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 / 8.9, since I want to get a tablet. I don't have the link anymore, but I read somewhere, that the 10.1 (the new, slim version) is supposed to get the TouchWiz UX / 4.0 whatever you want to call it in an upcoming update, but that might of course not be 100% true.
Do you have the 10.1v or already the new 10.1 (the slimmer one). If it is the slimmer on, can you select English as a locale? Is it possible to get the 10.1 of contract in Bulgaria and how much would it cost? I'm asking because I have relatives in Bulgaria and if it is a lot cheaper I would get it there.
Also, besides the quick settings toggle in the notification area, I'd rather prefer the stock Honeycomb UI. Also it would be kick-ass if the Galaxy Tab (except the Google IO limited edition) could get all the Updates directly (and therefore timely) from Google. Then I would buy one right away!

[Q] Using German keyboard layout while in English mode

Okay so basically I want to do on my Nexus 7 what I do on my Windows PC. Have Jelly Bean display in English but the on-screen keyboard to have a standard German Qwertz Layout.
On a Windows PC this is easy language & keyboard settings are separate. But having a scout around the Android forums on here & the Nexus 7 forums. This is apparently problematic.

PS. I have never used an android device before & I did use search so please forgive my ignorance.
Check out the Android app store. A search for "Keyboard German" got 348 hits.
For example, Slideit offers 45 free language and layout packs. That just happens to be the first one I pulled up.
Thanks for responding. But I simply want to do this in Jelly Bean without an external app. I'm not going looking for apps unless I know that Jelly Bean isn't capable of displaying in one language & using a different keyboard. Are you saying that android can't cope with such a basic requirement natively? And that I have no choice but to use an independent app & shell out money for a basic OS requirement.
Why would you pay for an App when there are so many free ones?
Go Keyboard, for example, is free with over 90,000 downloads.
If you don't want to use Apps with a Nexus - I am not sure why you want a Nexus.
Apps make Android what it is.
Maybe someone with a pre-production Nexus 7 can tell you what the keyboard supports out of the box. I will say the language on the keyboard has nothing to do with the language the device displays in.

The one you recommended costs nearly 3 quid.
I never said I won't use apps. My question was not about apps. My question was does Jelly Bean support this. I just assumed that a feature this basic must be stock. So I thought I would post the question & hope someone that actually knows the answer would happen along. Or for that matter someone familiar enough with other Android incarnations who could make a best guess. Basic logic dictates that I see what it can do natively before filling it up with unnecessary apps.
Not a recommendation of mine - I said that was just the first one that search pulled up.
Older versions of Android support 13 languages on the multi-touch keyboard, including German.
My post was intended to point out, if by chance, Nexus 7 does not have what you need, there is an app for it...
So does somebody else know or have any actual insight as to whether android can handle this natively? I'd be really grateful for some info from peeps who actually know their way around android. Because I definitely don't.
Just tried it on my Galaxy Nexus (ICS) and what you require is there out the box. You can pick from a variety of keyboard languages without changing the system language.

Looking For Tablet ROM With More Complete S-Pen Support

Hello. I have written an app that helps to improve the accuracy of the S-Pen. It works only on Note phones because Samsung has compiled some S-Pen device driver interfaces out of the tablet ROMs. It is not clear why they did this. I have asked Samsung but gotten no replies. I have confirmed that parts of the kernel code is commented out in the open source kernel code (and you can see that some of the interface files found on phones do not exist on the tablets). It seems that the tablets suffer from the same issues related to the S-Pen as do the phones and I have many people asking me to make my app work on their tablets. I cannot do so with the stock ROMs because of the missing interface files.
So I am wondering if there any non-stock ROMs in which the S-Pen is more fully supported. The missing files are located on my phone in /sys/class/sec/sec_epen/ and the two files I need are called epen_hand and epen_rotation. If anyone knows of any ROMs for the S-Pen equipped tablets that provide these interface files, I would appreciate knowing and may be able to direct some folks to using them.
Thanks
tab 7.7 did not come with s-pen... but Note 8.0 did come with one.

Oops. Sorry about being so ignorant. I thought they all did. Please ignore!
All the 7.7 needs is an S-Pen like stylus (ex. The Atmel Maxstylus MXT100) to be complete now that JB is finally out. I don't know why Atmel has not released this stylus. Our tab has their hardware thaat would allow the pen to work. They even demoed it on a 10.1 tab. You can find the video on their website. :banghead:

Very simple question regarding the "multi-window" functionality on the Galaxy Tab 4

Very simple question regarding the "multi-window" functionality on the Galaxy Tab 4
Hello,
After my Memo pad 10 bricked several months ago, I've been thinking about getting a new tablet, and the Galaxy tab 4 7" seems to be a reasonably priced option.
My question is as follows: I enjoy reading E-books in my second language, but I always prefer to have google translate nearby in case I need to look a word up. Can I have google translate open in multi-window mode over my e-reader app? I remember that I was unable to do this on my Memo Pad, as only certain ASUS apps could be opened over other apps. This will be the major deciding factor on whether I get the Galaxy 4 over the Nexus 7.
I appreciate any help you guys can give me

Don't remember which and didnt try it myself but I think there is an Xposed module that lets you add any app to the sidebar which would probably allow you to open it in multiwindow
