I don't know if anyone else have noticed/know but there is a pinch and zoom built in the calendar, it works very well from what I have test for now and seems cool.
If you have any other tips please share
I do like it...in fact, I haven't installed Pocket Informant that I own.
Question: why do the tabs on the right disappear instantly when you open the calendar? I know you can pinch and zoom, but how can you bring up the tabs?
Wow. Awesome finding! I hated to click click click to change the view..... and now. S calendar becomes my main calendar again.
My only grief is that only it doesnt shrink in density 240..

wow, didnt noticed that before
you can also use two fingers to swipe from right to left of the screen to bring up the tabs.....

When I slide out the keyboard at the home screen after having installed the Froyo release (didn't reflash - just straight install, most of it has been wonderful), it takes about 20 seconds for the icons to reappear. In the meantime, TW seems to have crashed. If I tap the apps icon, it noodles around for about 10 seconds before display the apps.
When I close the keyboard, same mess. If I continuously open and close the slider, it gets much faster, but is anyone else experiencing this? I cleared TW storage, and while it sped up almost instantly, as soon as I added my icons back (almost no widgets), it's back to crazy slowness.
This did NOT happen with DI28 and earlier. I'm running EB13 stock, non-root.
try doing the horizontal screen calibration tool under display settings, but with your phone upside down instead. Just hang the bottom part slightly off the edge of a table and tap calibrate with the screen facing down. It might help

I tried that earlier today - no help.
No lag at all for me. I used the exe. You have any widgets that might be causing the problem. Mine is instant.

Anyone have any fixes? It's dramaticaly slowed down my use of the phone. TW literally crashes every time I pull out the keyboard. I have to open an app first before I switch, and homescree google searches are now pointless.

DING DING DING. I think you got it. In my case it seems to be the weatherbug widget. When I delete the widget, the icons reappear almost instantly.
Who still uses TW? Honestly

First of all, it doesnt matter. Second of all, TW is alot nicer after update
Sent from my never been rooted, stock Froyo Epic.
Wiped with the EXE. Worked fine for a while, but after adding 8 icons (no widgets), it does the same thing again. I don't think I've installed anything that runs with background services, so I have no idea what the problem is... no problems when I use ADW, but I'd rather not hog an extra 26MB of RAM...
I'm afraid I jumped the gun on declaring mine cured. When first rotating after closing an app, the delay is still there, but then subsequent rotations are immediate . . . until I run the next app. It is faster without the widget, but not cured.
Download terminal emulator from the market. Search the forums for Epic screen lag rotation and you will find an easy fix for your screen lag issues.

@Mike, I have no accelerometer-based rotation lag. Accelerometer-based switching is instantaneous. Only when I pull out the keyboard does TW take forever. Can you please confirm which problem the fix addresses? Thanks.
Folks, I posted a poll. I want to see how bad this problem is. For the record, I have the Google Search widget, and 16 icons (3 of them folders) on my main screen. 2 other icons on side screens, no widgets.
That worked for me!
Minor update: I removed EVERY icon on my screen, and it's now switching instantly. It doesn't seem to like folders at all. I'm slowly adding icons to see where the tipping point is... I had about 20 icons in one folder, perhaps it didn't like that. Annoying, because TW 2.5 worked perfectly in that regard.
Even more updates: Touchwiz *hates* the Angry Birds icons. It's causing a nightmare of a switching delay as soon as I add the icons. Should I just switch to ADW or LauncherPro? Any particular pros/cons to each one?
i get a lag when i go to landscape when im texting
the upside down trick worked for me

I have LauncherPro installed and it seems that when I scroll, I would launch apps on accident.
How I scroll is a fast flick followed by a "brake" by holding the screen.
However, apps seems to be launched as a result.
Anyway to adjust the sensitivity of launches?

There is an app called SGS Touchscreen dunno if it will work with you or not you might give it a shot
Clean the screen and wash those filthy fingers lol

I also noticed this with LauncherPro.. especially if you use the experimental 3D app drawer... would suggest you to try ADW Launcher, much better imho.
So I'm using the shooter ROM RLS2.1, Seems to work. Kind of slow, but ROMs don't seem to like my phone for some reason. Either way, there is no built in Car Dock app so I grabbed one off the market. I like it alot, but realize that when I'm in the dock and have to hit my contacts list, its off kilter because Sense wotn lip to a landscape view of the contacts list. Does anyone know of a good contacts management app that supports landscape views?
Dialer One works in landscape, but it's more of a dialer than a contacts app.

From what I've gathered, this function was left out. But has anyone found a way to add the lock screen gestures into CM10? One of the big features I am missing from CM7.
Cheers.

Which are limited to a total of 3.
Gestures in CM7 were theoretically unlimited?I know at least 8 were possible since I had a total of 8 programmed... a wx for a weather bookmark, B for Browser, G for GMail, C for Camera, w for wikipedia, m for subsonic... etc
For example see this image I grabbed from googling:
http://www.pocketables.com/images/old/6a00d83451c9ec69e201538fcba7c9970b-pi.png
I really miss this feature too. Hopefully lockscreen gestures will be implemented in CM10 eventually, but in the meanwhile, the "Gesture Lock" app is a close approximation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.whacked.gesturelock&hl=en
I don't know if this had been posted, but if you own the Xperia Z charging dock you can enable landscape home screen rotation
turn off the phone and then dock the phone (in off mode).
After the charging icon appears, just power up the phone while its in the dock. Once the phone is powered up, just remove it from the dock and you should be able to rotate the home screen.
But, what's the point?

different strokes for different folks you know...
I like to use the phone in landscape on my desk without the dock and if you're in an app that is in landscape, e.g. a movie, you don't have to flip the screen back to portrait when you have to goto the home screen.
Really smart trick

Or just use Rotation Control from the play store ...
Hi,
can you please help me finding the tool which will force ALL applications work in landscape mode? Ie when my phone is in dock and i am using phone app - it is getting back to portrait mode when placing the call.
Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to fool the phone into thinking it's docked I much prefer landscape
Sent from my C6603
I can already do this permanently with an app in the drop down notification menu, I can select landscape and it'll force landscape for everything but I get a native result. Works for everything except for portrait apps, and vice versa. This works on the lockscreen too.

I've changed the dpi in build prop to 320 and auto rotate is automatically activated, I set font too large and I quite like this dpi,. Now if there was a way to make widgets bigger. Screen shots attached.

I'm talking about Screen Orientation Control on the Google Play Store.
This is what it looks like, hopefully it works.
Not sure what happened to the screen resolution is it some random imgur compression thing?
Thanks for the link for the app. Now I can control the orientation whenever I just want it to change.

Hey people,
I think you guys might be interested in the app called "Rotation Anywhere".
This is exactly the app all of you above are looking for.
And the best part "it's free". !!! :good:
