I only can update over Samsung's Kies, never received an OTA. Maybe only available in some countries like uk...
I just got the OTA update in the U.S right now...2.3.6

Just to add to your comment and distinguish the ATT SGS2 and ATT SKHROCKET) They just released the 2.3.6 for the ATT SGS2 (NOT the skyrocket). So maybe the i9100 UK will be on its way also. But i would bet you will see a full version of ICS before we do. Or is that what you guys just got recently? (or is at a leak of ics?)

[M200] KT Nexus S
I also want to upgrade my Korean Nexus S to the latest ICS. I seriously doubt KT will push it via OTA in my lifetime, so I need to look here at XDA to find someone who has done it.
So, did you get around your problem? Is it working?
I also think that the ota would never come to M200. Anyways all the custom rom and kernels work, so it isn't really a problem for me.

Really need help for update My Nexus S M200 2.3.4 to ICS 4.0.3.
Is there any other way to use ICS on M200 variant.
as jordan above says, same custom rom and kernel works on m200.

If your updating manually using the stock recovery. You need to be in 2.3.6 first before going up to ics.

But the thing is that the latest version for M200 is 2.3.4, so I guess there's no other way except for flashing custom roms.

Hello. I just purchased a Droid x for le gf off of CL. The bootloader is version 29.01. Is there any reason I should update this to 30.whatever? Thanks in advance.

if you want to run any of the GB based roms then yes but otherwise no. the botloader gets upgraded via OTA so if you do update it be careful to NOT take the .621 OTA as you will not be able to root if you do. The highest OTA you want is .602 or .605
Hi there,
Like some people I installed the leaked 4.2.2 update for my Note 8 wifi. I'm curious when the official version comes out for my country (usa) will it show up as an official OTA update or will I have to manually install it?

More than likely you'll have to install it manually. It's very rare that you will see an OTA for an unofficial leaked build.

Friends,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 and there is new update but I can not install because the device is rooted and it says updates can not be installed because your device has been modified, any solution please?
It is good is not working otherwise you would brick your phone. Wait for developers until they release a room with that update. Never try to install updates on a samsung rooted room. Cheers

You can update the phone downloading a firm from samy page, then flash it with odin.
