It look like Google Android 2.3 maybe released in few days...

I cant find anywhere. Everyone were waiting for 8.November for Samsung press conference. Did they announce something?? Nexus S?? If you have any links, please write it.

Goodbye X10 with thanks to all

I've just picked up a Samsung Galaxy S II so my beloved X10 is going to be my backup phone.
Just want to thank all the devs and others that have helped in making using it such a great experience.

Damn at least a month before it is released here. I will be joining you soon Yeah it is definitely a great choice.

Got a message today that a phone recycling company has agreed to pay me the full working price for my mobo afflicted X10. So I only lost £2 on the deal. My 26 days with the X10 showed me A) What a good phone the X10 could be with the right ROM (tried 2 Froyos and 1 Éclair all very good) and B) How crap SE are – I had both stock 2.1 and 1.6 on the X10 and both were sh*te, never mind the bloody hardware fault. I can confidently say that will (and have) continue to opt for Android it wont be a SE handset.
OP – Had a play with a SG SII last night, very nice and what a screen. I am jealous as my replacement for the X10 is a ZTE Blade lol. Still at least the blade can function in warm weather unlike that bloody X10.
So goodbye for now XDA, I will return with something different to the Blade in October when I upgrade.

Take care mate,enjoy your SGSII ,i myself changed to a Motorola Defy which couldnt get better (Not 2xCore but works awesomely) ,it has a locked Kernel...but you dont need it unlocked lol,has a perfect functional Multitouch,16m colors,CM7 for it with Everything working(Including camera and such),and everything ^
Besides i get 2.5k at Quadrant with a Overclock @ 1.2ghz ^

Good luck with your SG II. I switched to the Moto Atrix about 3 weeks back.

Just read on Twitter from sammy firm ware that Samsung may release a Galaxy S 3 to compete with the new Iphone 5 in september

I won't. This is already a kick ass phone, I won't bother updating for a while UNLESS it has a 4.8" screen, and a 2200 mah battery already in it

IF iPhone 5 can do better than SGS II first.

Well, I've got tons. 3G signal hanging, Pixelated pictures, low quality camera......and judging by the lack of responses (in the Q & A Forum), people have no idea whats up.

yep love my SG2, gave the wife the iphone 4, that way I was allowed to get it...lol

What has this got to do with the Galaxy S3.
You are trying to hi-jack another thread when you have been advised to take back your faulty phone in a previous thread.
As stated, others do not have this problem.

i dont think they will release GS3 to compete whit iphone 5... Come on whats the point? GS2 alredy beats iPad 2 browsing benchmark so whats the point off GS3?

Also, SGS II was released on May(in Europe), i dont think they would released SGS III only 5 months later unless its not really the SGS III but a SGS I9102 or SGS I9103 or something like that which would be the same SGS II but with some selected less features to decrease its price, as happened with the SGS and their SGS I9001, I9003 and SCL...
Not to mention that i thought the released of the SGS 3 was announced to 2012(one reason, may be to analyzed Iphone's 5 new features and improve them on the SGS3)...even though they obviously may have changed their mind...

i9103 was already launched, it's the SGS2 with the NVIDIA Tegra processor instead of the Samsung's Exynos of the i9100. The S3 should be i9200.

And it's that reason I couldn't give a flying duck. I'll be expressing a fanboy opinion. I'm sure everyone in any Samsung forum have said about how pathetic Apple are, an viceversa for Apple users.
At the end of the day, I see where Apple are coming from, the similarities are ridiculous. But Apple suing everyone because they're clearly worried that their plan for 'one world, one phone' is failing.

Tbh I cant see any similarities other then natural evolution of mobile device UI.
They only reason they would look similar is because it just the most instinctive way to have your icons organised on screen etc. Just because Apple like people to think they came up with the idea (like they do on every device) and Apple brainwashed, spoon fed n00bs believe them doesn't mean a thing, If Apple didnt bring an iPhone out the UI would have still evolved to what it is now and even shapes of phones aswell.

Some of the icons are similar and the devices do look similar, but imho i like the simple lool to both devices, but id never want iOS. Im surprised they havent sued the MIUI developers if anything.

lol, yeah and bluetooth data transfer, They even invented Tablet PC's (Sorry "pads")
I dont think they went for MIUI because..
a) They are Chinese. They wouldn't have a chance in hell at suing them because they would have to take it to their Chiina and they would be laughed out of court.
b) Its not commercial.
The reason why they hate Samsung is simply because they make devices that look similar to iPhone UI but have faaaar superior hardware and OS.

Samsung confirms Galaxy S II will receive Android 4.0 ICS
Samsung UK announced via its Twitter feed that the Galaxy S II will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s hardly a surprise since the Galaxy S II lineup is based on top-notch hardware and the latest Android Gingerbread.
Unfortunately, there is no information on release dates or any details on the other Galaxy S II members (besides I9100). Still, we guess all the Galaxy S II phones should be eventually upgraded to ICS.
Also, the information comes from Samsung UK, but we guess it should apply for all the countries the Galaxy S II is available in.

I'm not looking forward to seeing what Samsung's touchwiz does to the look and feel of ICS. I really didn't like what they did with the Galaxy Tab, even though it may have a few nice functions. The overly light and colourful look of TouchWiz is unappealing to me.
What I'm most interested about though is what they are going to do with the buttons. I would like to see the menu button be used for multitasking, but then I don't know how they could deal with legacy apps that still require a menu button...
I don't want to have to hold down the home button for an unspecified amount of time to get to the multitasking screen any more.
