I dont know about anyone else, but the III icon in app drawer had to go it was as ugly as naming the game GTA III 10th Anniversary. I had to change both and make them better IMO. Added the xperia play tag and I think it was a noticeable improvement. There was a line of code I had to delete from the android xml in order to recompile the apk and the icon I cropped out've a good google photo. Sadly the "3" gets cut off the app drawer name, but looks good in the Xplay launcher !

After you decompile the apk, go into the "res" folder, then open the "values" folder. In values folder open the strings.xml (I used notepad++ to edit xml) The first line in the strings.xml has the apps name, change it to what you want and save the xml and your all set!

I used PsXperia to make most of the playstation games android apps and you can make the app icon anything you want! Google search under Images "(the game you want) Playstation cover" for each game I wanted, I just did "gran turismo playstation cover" , You should try PsXperia If you already arent, theres a good thread on it aswell! Psx games play great after converting them and all can be moved to sd card, plus having all the playstation covers as app icons is awesome!

You have to decompile the apk in order to make edits to the app, and still allow it to work. This was the guide I read on how to decompile:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/1836-guide-how-to-decompile-an-apk-updated-w-guide/
And you have to edit the xml file with a specific program, theres more then one out there but "notepad++" is the one I ended up using and you can get it from here:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v5.9.6.2.html
Just make sure to download "Notepad++ v5.9.6.2 Installer" and "Notepad++ v5.9.6.2 zip package"

Here is a an evo xray pack I made to use with the live wallpaper creator in the market. The app is by Andres Schmois so credit for that goes to him.
Download the zip folder, unzip it and save it to your sd and use the app to start the live wallpaper. Point the app to the folder named image on your sd.
If done correctly it should look like your evo xrayed with the circuitry lighting up.

tested it, its cool but slowed things down considerably.
True, resource hog...
I looked around and basically just couldn't find a good honeycomb theme anywhere from what I saw so I decided to take matters into my own hands...I do like honeybread for CM7...but it was just not exactly what I was looking for. So I'm running on the ADW Launcher EX so anyone can have the exact same setup with no problems at all. The Apps+ icon in the top right I made with the SiMi Folder widget with a custom pic icon...the clock in the bottom right is the One More Clock widget from the market. My messenger/calendar/gmail widgets are all from the Pure Messenger and Pure Calendar widgets from the market. The bottom left icon I made with desktop visualizer and just have it linked to my current browser. The analog clock is obviously the Honeycomb clock FREE from the market. If you go into the ADW settings you just change the screen transition effect to Effect 1 to get the nice honeycomb like scrolling effect. I have gestures setup so when you swipe up on the home screen it pulls up the app drawer and if you swipe down it pulls down the notification bar...this way I can still use them w/o it ruining the honeycomb look. I also added the circle batter widget into the mix in the bottom left. My home screen is setup for constant landscape orientation and 10 wide by 7 high icon space...this was made this way just to make the icons and stuff where I wanted them too. You can't really use all of this space because the widgets overlap and it just makes it a pain so I don't recommend it. The other thing you have to do is download the free honeycomb theme on the market for adw...this is just to get the google widget that I am using. Also you'll want to download the honeycomb wallpapers app from the market...this is where I got my wallpaper from cuz it just looks the best in landscape...the one that comes with the theme just isn't that good if you ask me...both apps are made by the same developer. Anyways...here are some pics...I'm running this on my OG Droid with the MIUI ROM on it...hope you all enjoy. Just click on the pictures to look at them bigger and get a better idea of how it looks...I added them to this originally with them already full but the preview was cutting off the right side of the pictures and I just didn't want to chance it...please tell me what you think.
Here is a list of all of the Apps/Widgets that were used:
ADWLauncher EX by AnderWeb - $3.18
Honeycomb ADW Theme by GFX Android - FREE
Honeycomb Wallpapers by GFX Android - FREE
Circle Battery Widget by Cedric Depoortere - FREE

yes exactly....sorry for how messy it all was...lol...i added a list of all of the apps..their developer...and how much they cost...i can't add links cuz i don't have enough posts...all you have to do is find the right sizing of all of the widgets...most of them i have set to 1x1
I also went ahead and added the 2 custom icons that i made for this...you can use them if you want or pull others from the net

I tried it, but I dont like it. The one long continuous home screen is cool, but I dont like the dullness that is the app drawer. All I want is the stock launcher with the ability to go to 1 home screen and change the grid size. Anyone know of such a thing for honeycomb?
i do not get the need to change to launcher ui.when I have my tablet in my hand im looking at a app I use. Don't care much for all the not needed flash .keep it simple save the CPU cycles and memory for the apps and browser.
With that said the pics look nice. Just dont see tthe point
Good responses I didn't like it cuz I have SPB shell and this launcher still needs alot of work to it in my eyes. That being said FOR THOSE THAT WANT CHANGE and don't wanna spend 15 on a 3D launcher this might be of interest which is why I decided to post

Who needs an App Drawer when you can have these Folder Cubes.
This video is after an hour or so of goofing with it.
No way was this a quick process. But it was easy to do.
Yes I did move every app from my App Drawer to the Folder
Cube on the desktop.
And no. You haven't lost or began to need reading glasses.
Just try imagine that I took the time to clear up the video a little bit.
There's not a lot that I can do to lessen the pointlessness. So. Much like the video. I didn't
even try to correct that one. Sorry E.R.
Not too bland eh?
It is easy to see that the larger icons take a few seconds to load. I will send a link to this video to the dev and see if there is a way to put large, and even customized icons (for the ones that it doesn't find.) into the cache somewhere. Maybe it will be an easy fix. Other than that I have to say that it is pretty nice on the Iconia. I don't regret buying it one bit. Now to find the Nook Color...

Look for a app called Folder Organizer.. I have it and set it up once it allows you create groups with menus on your home screen .. not exactly what your looking for but you might like it.. also DENSITY CHANGER APP.. im not sure the exact name .. changes the screen density . This changes the icon size not sure if it will allow you to drop more on there or not..

No problem. This app works just as well on the Nook Color as it does on the Acer. (?!?Maybe even better?!?) Thanks again for sharing the find. I'll use this for a solid couple of days and report back on the stability. As well as any news. So far so good though.
GALLERY APP FOR GINGERBREAD (ROOTED), CM7, CM9
- Looks like ICS gallery.
- Gives better quality to photos.
- LG UI 3 icon and Gallery as name in the app drawer.
- Just take a look.
This one only works in system/app.
1- Put the apk in system/app using a file manager with root privileges.
2- Set permissions to rw-r-r
3- Reboot and enjoy.
This one can be installed as a normal apk.
looks nice, testing right now on my galaxy gio

yes it is lol. I had a quick look & don't see anything image wise for the battery. but hey, atleast they added support for % in the stock icons
other stuff I found. most stuff is the same as 4.3. the dialer obviously had a huge overhaul. All the theming you did i the past to phone apk can be merged into dialer now. styles, drawables are all the same. I just copied my com_android_phone xml contents and pasted it into com_android_dialer.xml & it themed perfectly.I haven't messed with contacts yet, but it looks like quite a bit has changed in there too.
