Unsure be honest I've not delved into it,I will though and give suggestions

What exactly are you asking? apps for other OS'es? Android apps can be sideloaded without any porting required.

Yeah, specific apps for other brands of devices, not android apps I know we can pick at pleasure for them which is gooood
I've not investigated what other devices have yet,I will though, never know might find something useful

are you mentioning launchers? i mean, all kind of apps can be found on market and i believe if you're talking about widget like apps then sense has got the best widgets.
Using apps across phones isn't a problem, you can install most app on any android phone across different brands i believe. It depends on the app as well. So without a name we can't say that whether it'll work or not

Most of the specific apps are ported from other devices such sony and samsung apps if you search in xda.

Really?? Have you tried the Android market? There is a tab that says "Top Free".
Unlike Windows Mobile, most of Android apps or not "HD2 only" ! You should better search on general Android forum, but like said before there's plenty of nice things on the Android Market

If anyone gives this guy a method of obtaining paid apps without paying for them, you are volunteering yourself for a 3 day vacation.
stffresh95 - Just buy them. If you can't because your country doesn't support them then I'm sure you can find some way of getting them. DO NOT ASK FOR WAREZ HERE AGAIN or you too will be taking a vacation.

Devs needed

A friend of mine wrote an iphone app and is trying to get it over to android but doesn't know anything about java and I'm not fluent so I thought I'd see if anyone would be able to help out with getting this thing to android. Thanks in advance.
I'm not sure either, but I thought I'd say atreyu is amazing, one of my favs. And I guess it would really depend on what kind of app and what iit did for people to really wanna port it

I'm not that fluent either but maybe if you gave us more info on the app. I can check it out on my brothers iPhone. Maybe we can try to figure it out, if its original enough.

[Q] Req: App Like Everyday Looper from IPhone

I would like to know if there is a app like Everyday looper for or Android devices.
I have been searching for it quit some time now but i cant seem to find a app that can do the same thing.
I phone app everyday looper :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzQLRPwZjIo
WOW!!!! It´s amazing... Nothing similar for Android at this moment, I believe..
I really like the idea of that app and many others do also.
I just don't gone buy a iphone for 1 app i like. (not that i want to buy a iphone anyway)
Looks like fun. Shouldnt be too hard to create... lets see the power of xda developers!

someone go!!
I just find a app that can do the same thing as everyday looper but its far from optimized. It has a huge lag and no setting menu.
So can some dev take a look at it and tell me the possibilities if some dev would be interested in making such a app( i am willing to donate for that)
Closest thing i know if is reloop but i dont think you can use the mic in it
I'd pay for an app like this. Really good.

And reloop is not "on the fly" frendly I.m.o.
The men who made everyday looper is not planning to make a version for android because it has many type of resolutions and androids latencys is not that good. But thats What was last year June.
It seems that the men is a "iphone app only fan" with Al respect for the program it self.

I don't think it would make money, i know it would make money.
there are a lot of people on the internet that are asking for this app to make it for our Android
Phones.
Any news on this?

Port everyday looper Android
No not really any news on this item yet.
But i hope there is still someone that can make this possible for android.
or at least try to tell why this is not possible for android.
The specs of the new generations android phones are way better than from the Iphone so I don't understand why this suppose to be and stay a Iphone/Ipad app only program.
I found an app called loopstamatic that seems to do something similar to Everyday Looper. It's still in beta and only supports 3 channels.
Thanks I will try it and report later.
No good luck for me. when I am trying to download and install it on my phone it just stop downloading and nothing happens. So I can not test de program.
I am trying to try installing it with a new android rom and will report back again.
Comes close, fun to play with. Not as good as every day looper though. Missing some features I would like there.
Good find nonetheless, thnx

Has anyone seen this Samsung launcher yet?

Anyone see Samsung's bizarre "Pure Breeze" launcher yet? I'm sure it's a different division, but I'm glad to see they're working on bull**** like this instead of things like Gingerbread updates.

I have a feeling that developer has absolutely nothing to do with Samsung other than deciding to get a free ride by including the name in his own.
No, I think it's legit... I don't get it either. Galaxy S Support also RTed it.

Yeah I just don't see how Samsung could be affiliated with this horrid launcher.
Either someone threw the Samsung name in their author title, or Samsung needs better quality control in their Android development department.
EDIT: I saw the twitter post from Samsungjohn and I have to say I'm disappointed. :/

Yes but has anyone tried the paid version? I tried the free version and it does seem like crap but just wondering if the paid version unlocks the cool part of it.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
The only thing that would make this awesome is if it came with a statement saying samsung is no longer placing custom skins on their android phones.

Remove Bloatware from Nexus 4

Hi everyone
i know nexus 4 comes with stock rom from google, but there must be things that you recommend removing to keep the beast going at 100% pace.
also, i am a privacy geek and would love to know which of apps i should disable to give as least as possible to google?
at one point i remember a rom that was the stock android but it had all of google's collections bots/apps disabled. Cant seem to think of it

If you want to receive OTA updates then you have to keep all the apps but you can disable them.
I've disabled Google movies and magazines.
If you really want to avoid Google you should install cyanogen mod without the gapps. You won't require a gmail account to use your phone but that means you have to use alternative market places.
There are open source apps for almost everything but I've never used them so can't say. I know there is a open source maps app though but probably doesn't come close to Google apps.

It depends on how you define bloatware. Some see it as being anything preinstalled on the device that isn't absolutely necessary, which means that most of the GApps that come on the N4 are bloatware. Personally I disagree with that definition of bloatware but you can see why people may think that way.

Awesome, thanks! Didn't think to look by username, DUH!
You could just install something like cm10.1 with no gapps.
