I'm following the return to stock instructions from overcome and odin has been sitting for over 15 minutes with no changes.

do you have the drivers installed on your computer?
I believe so, I've used oden before to root the tablet and that went fine. My odin screen says I'm using COM15.
I just went into device manager (I'm using WinXP) and it doesn't show a COM15 as existing. I'm wondering if maybe nothing has been happening for real this half hour and maybe it's OK to reboot the tablet afterall - any thoughts?
I gave up and rebooted and the tablet came up with a message that a firmware upgrade had failed and to use Kies to recover. After fighting with Kies for a while and not getting anywhere I tried again with Oden and this time it worked, so I'm functional again. That was the closest I've come to bricking a device, glad it worked out OK.

It happened in between odin tries. ( I have never got odin to work on the first try)I was trying to go back into downloading mode and this poped up. I can only assume this is the picture you get when you dont have a rom on your phone maybe? Anyway I pulled the battery and the odin'd back to stock no problems just though i would snap a picture first.

Yeah, what you said - it's what you'd see between ROM flashes. ODIN crapped out the first time I ever tried it, and that's the image that was on my phone until it successfully flashed.
never on my epic, but yes i saw it on my moment
Please help..... this is my daughters tablet and its soft bricked.
Im unable to boot it at all....... it just freezes on the `Google` image and the green recovery image is also present on the same page. If i boot it into recovery and try and boot from there it just keeps saying `booting failed`
Ive tried reflashing it using Nexus Toolkit but it doesnt do anything, also im unable to enable USB debugging.
Im now trying to flash it back to stock using Fastboot.... but im still getting problems.
Here are some screen shots...

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500. I would like to update it from jellybeans to kitkat.
OTA says it couldn't update so i should use kies.
I downloaded kies, but it doesn't work. It kept saying connecting.
Thats when i got kies 3. I attached images of the problem i'm getting.

After this image, i reconnect the phone, and it keeps going through the process from the first picture.
So I uninstalled kies 3, and uninstalled the device under device manager.
Re-installed kies 3, and went through the process in the images above.
I still haven't found a solution.
I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
I installed kies 3 on a windows 7 emulator. I was previously using Windows 8.1.
The update started, it downloaded 100%, then it said: could not access the model information server. Try later.
Hello my friends, hope You can help me.
My friend recently came to me with her smartphone - SM-G531F
She said to me this story: during using tinder/snapchat (or some similar sh**) phone freezed. After put-out-in battery phone came up with this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And here is the thing. I tried to flash it with odin but no success - no pit partition(3.07 and this new one), I tried to flash it with kies but smarphone acts strange (keep connecting and disconnecting, never connected succesfully).
All tried to do on win8.1 and 10.
Am I missing something? I know the basics, but I'm more familiar with LG and Sony devices.
I'll be happy if someone can give me hand Thanks!
lock bootloader
Are you sure that your USB hubs are working fine?
Nd most probably thats issue of Locked Bootloader. What method are you using to flash it with Odin?

Whenever you fail a flash, ALWAYS restart Odin. Sometimes it's just odin bugging out. I can tell you've done it a couple times but just click exit and restart odin. Hope it helps
Also, dont use the Prince version of Odin when going back to stock, use the regular one
