I did not take part in making this recovery at all, I am just posting it.
Before flashing the recovery flash this first to clear up some memory for it. (thanks to James Sullins for the file)
The instructions and download are in the link below:

I will have more support for this recovery once I get the tp(getting it soon)

there is no updated zip. that was the contents of my /boot partition on my touchpad. i read in another forum that i could remove that file that was taking up all the partition space. i tried to flash the twrp zip file and it flashed but could not boot into twrp recovery, so i pulled the file from /boot and noticed it was too small so it didn't flash complete because of no more room. i removed "update-uimage" and pushed "uimage.twrp" and now all good. after messing around in twrp for a bit i decided to go back and remove clockworkmod too

I was able to update to TWRP, however, after reboot and chosing recovery, it doesnt automatically get into TWRP like it used to do with CWM. Is there a way to get this to automatically get into TWRP without having to select it from moboot menu?

With CWM as the only recovery, whenever you press and hold the hardware power off button, you get an option to reboot and when selecting that, if you chose reboot into recovery, with CWM, it will take you straight into recovery. With TWRP, it doesn't. Anyone who still has CWM only can test this, but it would be nice if we can get same thing work with TWRP. For now, I have removed CWM completely from my touchpad and am using TWRP only.

Yea, I am familiar with the reboot menu, and with cwm as my only recovery it never did that for me. I always had to choose it from the moboot menu. At least as long as I can remember anyway.

op updated with zip to remove the update-image prior to flashing the recovery
Ok so if you have already flashed the initial zip and it gives incorrect size any way to remove that? I did the acmeuninstaller and the option for twrp was still there after reflashing with just cwm
**Edit- Went into CWM flashed the clean boot zip and then reflashed twrp and we are in business this is a kick ass recovery.**

Yeah, the site went down yesterday (at least for me), but I used a cached page of it and the direct download links still worked.
As the site is down, what exactly is this version?

UPDATE: To fix 3.0.2.4 from not formatting /system
Open rom manager and select settings, and check erase recovery. hit menu again and select clear cache, then flash 3.0.2.4 again.
now if your in recovery and you cant boot back up to use rom manager, use the file below. It will allow you to restore your backup then once booted back up use the method above to fix 3.0.2.4.
The reason im leaving custom over 3.0.2.4 is bc i know fastboot flash with this one will allow you to restore without wiping recovery or clear cache or anything else.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/b8ejhqbf3tgnsoe/recovery.img - this is CMW 3.0.1.4 just altered for installing zips. linking for people needing a recover img to boot up
To install:
1. If in recovery, open ur terminal on ur pc and type adb reboot boatloader
2. Once in bootloader it will load fast boot and say fastboot usb in red
3. cd to the folder with fastboot.exe and also place recover.img in that folder
4. then enter fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
5. adb reboot recovery
6. restore your backup and boot up
RafficaX said:
Little FYI for all, cwm recovery wont format system on a restore. made a backup, tried a flash and went to restore and it fails formatting system.
So be careful with flashing and all bc yo may not be able to restore currently with cwm.
UPDATE: format system in menu also fails! be careful bc you pretty much cant restore or flash atm!

I ran into the same problem. I tried to do a restore and got stuck. I used an sd card reader and put the 3rd file from the root thread PG05IMG.zip on the root of my sd card. I then put the card back in. Rebooted into recovery holding the volume down and the power button. It reflashed the file automatically and I followed the steps from 7 on to regain root. Worked for me, but now I have to start over. Hopefully they will get CWM working again. I will be much more careful about what I delete from now on. I think I will freeze it in TiBackup first to make sure everything is still working correctly. Hope this helps.

Mates,
I used ClockworkMod to flash .22. Immediately, I was prompted to update to. 30. Then I installed ClockworkMod recovery and made a full backup.
Today, I was prompted to update to. 38 but it failed because it needs Acer recovery not ClockworkMod. How can I revert back to Acer recovery so I can update to. 38? Thanks.

Use the option that says "Stock USA 1.141.07_COM_GEN1 recovery". That should work fine as I'm pretty certain Acer haven't updated the recovery at all. No need for them to do so.

Flash ClockworksMod image, reboot into recovery, reboot your system. Then run Acer recovery program and flash stock image. Exit the program and now you should be fine. Tell us if it worked.
I tried few times but nothing happened The same situation. ClockworksMod image works perfectly.

So, I see that ClockworkMod image is working. That is great. Now, run Acer Recovery app., then select the last choice to flash 1.141.07 image.
Exit the program, turn off your device. Reboot the device. Now you should have Acer stock recovery image. Let me know if this is true to move to the next step. We must get this done before moving forward.
Peace.

That is quite true & I believed you have nailed it on the head !!
I've seen post from people saying they reflashed the stock recovery using Acer Recovery Installer .... then after installed... they chose to reboot into recovery ( the just installed stock recovery)...etc
stock recovery have no menu !! ( atleast I've never seen it except for when invoked, It shown few line of text in upper left corner....etc )
when it's invoked... it needs and will auto search for the update.zip in root of ext. SD Card.
I believed this is why some experienced the "droid exclaimation screen"
solution....
/After stock recovery re-installation.... you need to shutdown the device....
/transfer the update.zip to root of ext. SD Card...
/Now you can invoke the stock recovery ( Power & Volume down ) ...
solved

NOPE !!!
Think about this:
flashing the 1.141.07 recovery using the program Acer Recovery Installer only restore your stock recovery ... basically up to this point there is only one stock recovery !
whether you chose to backup your stock recovery before you'd flashed the CWM and installed custom rom.... or whether you are re-flashing using the Acer Recovery Installer's 1.141.07 recovery... you will end up with the same stock recovery...etc
and the program as a whole is only a few MB (?).... the whole full rom update.zip is about 300+ MB.... you are not seriously thought that the option above actually placed an update.zip in the root of your SD Card for you...did you ??
so now.... you can read my last post regarding "placing an update.zip" after re-flashing the stock recovery steps
ok so i rooted and unlocked the bootloader. after that i installed rom manager, flashed the recovery, and than tried to flash the romracer's CWM and now i keep getting the triangle with the android when i go into recovery. any fix for this?

That's only if you had Tenfars recovery installed beforehand though. Might want to make sure your downloading the right version from RomRacers thread. Also make sure your downloading the one one the right side (the CWM flashable one) and not the fastboot version.

I had the same issue..
Download ES file explorer and go to settings..
Select "Mount file system - Mount /system as writable"
Delete or rename install-recovery.sh.
Boot into fast boot (power and volume down) press up volume when u see fast boot.
Plug in usb.. start fastboot
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
You will now have a working CWM.
install-recovery.sh cannot be renamed/deleted because the file system is read-only
so how do i delete it? >.<

Hi All
I am in the process of flashing Cyanogenmod 11 onto my TF300T however I am in a world of hurt. First I updated to the latest TWRP (2.6.3 -4.2). When i boot up into TWRP it is asking me for a password which I do not know. If I press Cancel i cannot see any contents of /sdcard. Also if I insert a microSD card, again cannot see any contents. TWRP is telling me there is no operating system installed and if i reboot it just comes straight back into TWRP.
I apologise if this question has already been asked but I just cant figure this one out.
What bootloader version do you have? What helped me was to reboot into the boot loader (using volume down+power, has three options RCK, cold-boot linux, Wipe data [dont ever ever ever wipe data]) and select cold-boot linux (the android guy in the middle) and it would boot back into my ROM. If you cant get in that way, you are going to have to use ADB on your computer and use the "adb reboot-fastboot" command. If you get in, back up your files, because you're at the event horizon of losing all your data. If your bootloader is 10.6.1.8 youre going to need to flash the latest asus stock firmware from their website.

I am using bootloader 10.6.1.3. When I cold boot linux it just continually boots up into TWRP.
Whenever I try to run an ADB command i get "error: device not found". I have installed the android SDK, tried to install the USB drivers but no luck (possible windows 8 issue?).
It doesnt matter if I lose all data on it, i dont keep anything really important on it.
I have rolled back to 2.5.0 TWRP and it still asks me for a password.
I've switched over to my Mac now and have been able to push the CM-11 ROM into the sdcard directory. However when I attempt to flash it, it fails immediately with the log saying.

Ok this morning I have tried the following:
1. Flashed Scanno's TWRP from the OMNI thread using this command:
> fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img
2. Booted up into TWRP, again /sdcard is empty.
3. Pushed the OMNI ROM onto /sdcard using:
> adb push omni-4.4.2-20131218-tf300t-HOMEMADE.zip /sdcard/
4. Went to Install and selected the zip then it immediately fails saying:
Unable to mount '/system'
Am I missing something here? From above i see that i flash 'recovery'. Do I need to flash 'system' with fastboot?
no, but maybe your PITs are corrupt. do you still have an older nandroid backup you could try to restore first?
oh just read that twrp asks for password. is that still the case?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yep it's still asking me for a password.
What are PITs?
I'm not sure if I have a backup. When in TWRP if I go to restore it can't find any. It's like the whole tablet is wiped. Does this have something to do with not having the ability to mount anything?

For me to go to KitKat, can I just flash the OMNI ROM now?
EDIT: Nevermind, I am all back up and running, thanks so much for the help, i was getting a bit worried that I had bricked it!
HELP
So I just tried getting cm11 on my tf300t, i installed TWRP 2.5 and rooted my device, everything went well. I then did a factory reset and wiped cashe. I tried installing then cm11 zip file with no success. I get the message that it failed. And now im on a device with no ROM to boot into and no working ROM to flash on the device.
Since there is a SD card slot on the device, would it be possible to put another ROM on there and then flashing that?
Please help me!

in order to install CM11, you need a special TWRP modded for KK: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48508679&postcount=7
You can copy a CM11 nightly and the TWRP onto a SD card and flash from there, or use fastboot.

Hello, i have a similar problem, i wanted to install CM11 on my TF300T, i downloaded the latest version of TWRP from their site for the tablet, installed via Fastboot and everything seems to be ok, when i try to flash it (via CM OTA) it ask me for the password and it didn´t mount any data, but when i reboot the tablet it just keep loading twrp and i can't get to fastboot nor adb nor APX, so i have no idea on how to restore or boot back to the OS, or i just bricked the device?
thanks

When you restart you tablet, and hold the vol down key while rebooting it will give you a bootloader number: 10.6.x.x.x

that's the point, it doesn't do anything, is like i'm not holding or pressing it, it just show the ASUS Logo screen and in the top left it says that the bootloader is unlocked as usual, i don't think is a wardware problem because it was working the last time it booted on Android

Once it goes to recovery, adb will be accessible. Then follow Buster's recovery method.
Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a few issues after I've gone through the bootloop fix that was posted a while ago.
I've got the phone up and running (YAY!) but it's really slow. I understand there is a zip file that can be "side loaded" but I'm not sure how that's done. I boot into the recovery mode but it asks for a password. When I cancel and just go to install there are no files that can be found, even though I copied the file into several directories on the phone.
The second thing is that despite being set to US English I don't seem to have assistant anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks.
Did you flash the latest performance fix image from xcnathan??

I loaded the image on the phone.
Rebooted the phone into recovery mode.
Tried to install it, but I wasn't able to find it in any directory.

I don't have an install/flash image in the bottom right.
The Install button is located at the top left, there are no files when I go in there, and the directory list seems like it's missing stuff.
There is also Wipe, backup, restore, mount, settings, advanced, and reboot.
on the advanced screen i have copy log, fix contexts, file manager, terminal reload theme and adb sideload.

When you browse your internal storage, you see no files/folders? Completely blank? That means you probably need to factory reset your phone once... Wipe everything including the internal storage, and did you get an option at the startup of twrp, the read only settings? And slide to confirm? Did you slide that button?

I see some directories, but no files and some directories are missing.
When I boot into recovery mode it asks for a password. I click cancel and then swipe right to keep going.

Yup... You're doing right... After going into Install section there's no option in lower right corner named flash zip or flash image? Just Bedside select storage.

I do see that button.
I have the file saved to the root>sdcard>Download folder. (based on the file structure from the app I'm using on the phone.
But when I'm in the recovery mode and I look in the file structure I go to sdcard and there are no subfolders.
My root directory has boot, cache, data, dev, etc, license, oem, proc, recovery, res, root, sbin, sdcard, sideload, supersu, sys, system, tmp twres, usb-otg, vendor.
Almost all the folders contain no further sub folders.

Ok. I'm obviously screwing this all up.
I downloaded the file, and then went to the boot screen. I entered: ./fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-angerl.img that worked fine. Then I rebooted the bootloader. Then tried to go into recovery and it attempted to load, paused, rebooted and then went to normal bootup. So you're suggesting at this point that I wipe the phone and reinstall the entire 7.1.1 as well as the twrp recovery, and the bootloop fix. Then I should be able to download and install the zip file that will help with the speed issue.

What!? After flashing the recovery you weren't able to boot into the recovery? Something is wrong I think.. maybe you entered wrong command while flashing... As you said that worked fine so did you see something like "completed in xx.xx seconds" ? After flashing the recovery? You you have, it should be working fine..

Yeah...it didn't work. I'm going to probably have to start from scratch I think. Though this is the third or fourth time I've had to do this.

Before you start over, try renaming the official TWRP to just that(TWRP) That's what their website suggests. From their site:
adb reboot bootloader
You should now be in fastboot mode.
Download the correct image file and copy the file into the same folder as your adb and fastboot binaries. Rename the image to twrp.img and type:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot reboot
Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use Google to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. After typing fastboot reboot, hold the key combo and boot to TWRP. Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.

Ok. After a few more installs it finally booted into the twrp recovery. But it still can't see anything within the directories. I'm on Install Zip, and there are no files and no sub directories within root or SDcard. Image source is internal.

Ok. So I am going to have to wipe the phone and install again. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.
I will restart the phone into bootloader, then reinstall the entire OS from the start. (PATH="$PATH:/user.../ ./flash-all.sh)
That will reinstall the OS from the file I downloaded from Google.
From there I will then reinstall TWRP recovery and their fix. Then, once I've booted up the phone I will load the zip file onto it, and it should become visible in the file directory in the recovery mode.
Am I right in this?
Thanks for your help.
