I have the 4 GB SD card that came with my Mytouch and it says SDHC 4GB on it. how do know what speed class it is?
its a class 2. theres a little circle that has the class in it
class 6 will have a 6 in a circle on it.
Ok, I had 2 micro SD memories, one transcend and the other one is a sandisk. The both are 8 GB's memories but here's the tricky question:
One of the memories (the sandisk) is class 2 (I think it is because it has a 2 inside a circle) and the transcend is a class 6 (according to the number inside the circle)...
Wich memory should I keep???
Sandisk microSD 8GB Class 2
or
Transcend microSD 8GB Class 6
?????????????????
keep the class 6 card

Click to collapse
the class 6 is faster
the higher the class, the faster the card.. in general
Thanks a lot ^^... Then I will keep the class 6 and sell the other one with the other magic I have...
Has anyone tried one of the newer Panasonic Class 10 cards? I have a 16gb class 6 card in the phone that is wicked fast but I'm always up for new game if the extra speed is noticeable enough.

I was planning to upgrade my MicroSD card on my phone and i found this class 4 32Gb card from A-Link and a little bit more expensive 32gb class 10 one. Does it really matter much on these mobile phones?
For me it doesn't. I'm moving mp3 files from laptop to x5 and I have no problem if I wait 1minute longer to copy those files.
Might effect video recording when saving directly to sd card.
I am using the class 4 32Gb card ,it's good .
I've used a class 4 for a while now its fine on my phone atleast..... just takes a few minutes longer to load music on it sometimes
The class of an SC card gives its guaranteed minimum write speed. A class 4 card has to be able to write at 4 MB/s, a class 10 card at 10 MB/s. That also includes the possibility of class 4 cards being faster than class 10 ones. I've seen that happen a lot. For example I use a class 6 card that I've benchmarked at over 18 MB/s sequential write.
It is all about your pocket... personally i believe that any class above 4 is fine . IF you move many files from your pc to mobile it is better to buy class 10 because 6mb/s more is significantly better.
