Black screen as in off? Can you get into bootloader? (Volume down + camera + power)
The black screen is on because u can still see the back light on and yes I can get into boatloader still

what about stock recovery? hold Home button when powering on. If you can get it, try factory reset.
When I do the home and power button it just starts the boot logo the shuts off completely

I had that happen to me when I installed a GB update in the wrong order/wrong version. Don't remember what exactly I did wrong, but I had to SBF at that point.
The Liberty GB leaks are buggy as hell, I had the same problem a lot and it was just unfixable for me no matter what I did. I'm running Liberty 2.0.1, unfortunately; waiting for them to release a build based on the final GB leak.
I sent you a pm with downloads aand instructions on how to sbf. I cannot post it publicly because our site admin has asked me not to
It worked and I thank u for that

2.2?

Hi guys. I am in the process of flashing a ROM for my wife's D2. From all of my reading on here, it seems she should be on 2.3. However her system is still 2.2. Am I misinformed? I've hit the system update on her phone, but it says her phone is up to date. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

2.2 = Android verion
2.3.2 = Verizon update
I'm in the same situation, I'm on android 2.2 and system update says no update available. ..

You can be rooted and still receive an update, correct? I know you would lose root privledges, but I am trying to remember if I had to unroot or not.
I'm not able to get the update either (which is basically all I should be writing in this post), but I'm going to just attribute that to my flashing the tbh all in one back to froyo.

I think you need to be unrooted and have all stock apps.
So what's the update really I mean,i have android 2.2 and I think the gb is not released officially am I wrong?i have ee4

Android 2.3.3 aka Gingerbread is now available to all via OTA.
Since when, cuz a few days ago I was stock on ee4 now I'm on gumny and never saw any update msssage

I'm rooted, and the update downloaded by itself. Of course, the only way I'm gonna install it is when a version of cm7 GB is out that has amazing battery life.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
Which that wouldn't even work bc its not rootable.

The CM7 has a version for the OTA GB. I've been running it since I ran the OTA.

Root using D3 method, then install the latest CM7 Nightly. I'm running it right now, overclocked to 1.3ghz. This phone is stupid fast and the battery life is killer.

I dont know about Liberty Toolbox, but I think the same developer's ROM Toolbox app works fine. I also believe that ROM Toolbox can be used to download the latest CyanogenMod (I think).
You can install new CyanogenMod versions without wiping data. Just flash over your currently installed build.
Were can I get the rom toolbox

Its in the Market. If you are on the GB Kernel then download REV numbers unofficial CM7 ROM, but if your on Froyo Kernel then you can download the official CM7. The official nightlies havent bee converted to the GB kernel yet.

No. thats why it is reccomended to use the newer CM7. I have tried taking the sensor file from that, but it resulted bootloop.
The newer one makes my phone crash..

Nevermind, revertred to official 2.2.2 the SECOND time, updated recovery 5.0.2.7, rooted, installed 111128-32 and the crashes are gone! Wohoo! It took me two times to install the official 2.2.2 before this rom worked without crashes.
Special thanks to geno for making this unbelievably fast and great rom.

No camera with the JB update

I seem to have no camera installed after the JB update. I click on the icon and it says not installed. How would I get the camera back on?

The shortcut may just be corrupt, look in the app list and see if it's there (and re-create your shortcut.)
If it's not in the app list (and your trying to use the EOS release) then it's possible that you need to format your /system partition and try installing EOS and gapps again.
If your on the OTA, I have no idea how to help.
Airesch is probably correct. If you're using a shortcut to launch the Camera try deleting it and launching it from the app drawer or making a new shortcut.
Exactly as said, if you on rooted image of team eos hellybean ROM, gapps has a little issue and it was advised to do the following to fix all apps shortcuts including camera, and video chat, however, face unlock is till begin worked on,
Wipe cache,
Wipe dalvik,
Format system partition,
Flash ROM again,
Flash gapps right after,
Then reboot,

Working here dadavices. Not sure what to tell you. I'm on bone stock JB Xoom
Similar problem here with OTA stock update - except mine was the calendar and calculator app - even though the apks and odex files were in system/apps..
Is camera listed in Settings>Apps? With V411?
Does it allow "uninstall updates"? This did not fix mine... but was related...
My cured ... two solutions..
A) Full wipe after the OTA update fixed it.. and.
B) If you have a ICS backup - revert back. In Settings>Apps - run "Uninstall updates" on all system apps that have the option. Revert back to stock system and boot partitions - and let the OTA run again.
