I've tried everything and I can not get S-OFF. I do all the tutorials and there is no way to manage to get on my Magic S-OFF.
Someone help me? I searched the forums but there is nothing similar.
I have:
Hboot 1.76.2007
CPLD 12
Radio 6.35.08.29
I tried switching to another radio, but when I fastboot gives me error: failed <remote: signature verify fail>
thank you

Try flash stock rom again by following this manual: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5526163&postcount=1
Download Hboot 1.76.2007 from 4shared: http://www.4shared.com/file/G3v1xc0I/update-hboot-1762007-signed.html
Use patched recovery: http://www.4shared.com/file/_JJa2Chb/ra162_635.html
When you will flash hboot (from recovery) - follow instructions on screen. Don't reboot until text will appear...
Still can't have S-OFF
Thanks for your reply.
I tried what you told me, but couldn't do it.
The phone is rooted, I installed DietGingerbread and everything is working, but I have problems with battery (drains in about 1 day without doing anything, just being turned on - already callibrated it), my Bluetooth also doesn't work, I try to turn it on but it turns off automatically.
Any other help?
Thank you

Thank you for your replies.
I don't think it is the ROM. Let me post what is my feeling about it. My feeling is only for what I sense, not from any other knowledge, I am pure amateur.
Problems came out when I installed CM 7.2 and clicked fix permissions on ROM Manager. After that, phone got lots of problems, so I thought...better to install everything new from scratch so I put the latest RUU oficial from HTC and wanted to do the whole routine to root and take S-OFF.
The thing is I never could put S-OFF anymore, and believe me I tried everything...and asked a friend for help who couldn't do it as well.
Now my problem is this:
Battery lasts less than 1 day without any major use, not even internet or wifi.
Bluetooth doesn't work
Think kernel might have anything to do with this? I have carz latest kernel. Is there a way to bring the original kernel back?
Thanks for the help guys, I really need it!
same problem, please help
Use fastboot commander

good luck

Man, you wrote too many words and i'm confusing with it (s-off, custom, kernel, bluetooth... what a mess!)... what EXACTLY do you want first? Do you still want get S-OFF???
To get S-OFF you must follow manual in second post of this topic...
What problems do you have with this manual? Did you flash rom? Did you flash custom recovery? Did you flash engineering hboot?
Sorry for all the words, but I have lots of problems with my Magic.
After that ROM Manager Fix Permission thing, my phone is a mess!
I tried every tutorial on the web and S-OFF is not there. Flashed ROM, installed custom recovery (tried with some of them) and when I flash eng hboot nothing happens. I restart the phone but S-ON is still there.
My friend tried it as well but no S-OFF comes out.
I still want S-OFF, I think after that problems should be solved, but I wrote the other problems because it could help you help me.
Thanks again for your patience
Wait, wait... Here is checklist.
0. Does your SPL-info in first post changed by something? You must have 1.76.XXXX / 6.35.XX.XX to get S-OFF...
1. Did you install custom recovery AmonRa 1.6.2 patched by cursordroid? I posted link in second post...
2. Reboot into recovery (Home + Power) - what version do you see?
3. Did you download hboot 1.76.2007 from my post?
4. Copy 1.76.2007 zip-file to root of sdcard, boot into recovery and choose 'flash zip from sdcard', point to this archive and follow instructions...
5. After all, turn phone off, then turn on by pressing Back + Power... what SPL-info now? Write first 5 rows (all symbols are important)
Yes, I did all that on the first reply you told me.
Right now I have:

Too sad to be truth...
Perhaps, things like gfree or incfree can help... but there is no gfree for Magic/Sapphire.
Here are incfree sources:
https://github.com/tmzt/g2root-kmod/tree/master/guhl
To build version that is compatible with Sapphire/Magic we need change some code (memory addresses, partition names and etc..) or we need find coder who will change this code.
I'll show you some magic :0)
Issue this command from fastboot and you will have your s-off:
Code:
fastboot oem eraseconfig
Enjoy :0)
---------- Post added at 12:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:06 PM ----------
To everyone else:
Try to not mix things together.
There are many settings that have nothing to do with ROMs.
The above example is perfect. He could flash as many roms he wanted... he will still be s-on. That's because the secu.flag was set in "bios" of the phone... The reset command should take care of that... but we are changing things in bios... not in the OS.
I could write a full article to show case my point... but does not have the time..
I hope the words are of little help :0)

Hey guys, I have spent the last 8 hours trying to figure this out.
I have a MyTouch 3g 1.2 and I want to root it and install Cyanogen's new ROM. I have been following the rooting guide from TheUnlckr.com.
I am able to complete everything fine (I needed to substitute the sappimg for the Sapphire one to make it work), but it finally completed.
When I go to fastboot with SDK, I can see my device, so everything looks fine. However, when I go to flash the radio, hboot, and recovery images, I get a error that says:
Code:
C:\AndroidSDK\tools>fastboot flash radio radio.img
sending 'radio' <21504 KB>...FAILED <remote: not allow>
finished. total time: 0.016s
This is the pattern for each of the files I try to flash...
This is where I'm at, and I haven't even gotten to flashing the ROM yet. So, I currently just have a stock device. Can someone please help me out?
I tried using the following sappimg:
2.53.707.2_-_sappimg
SAPPIMG_Sapphire_T-Mobile_US_2.10.531.4_release_signed
the following SPL:
update.Engineering-SPL-HBOOT-1.33.2010-signed
the following recovery images:
recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.6.2G.img
flashrec-1.1.2-20090909.apk
flashrec-1.1.3-20091107-2
flashrec-20090815
I'm clearly all over the place now. Someone please point me in the right direction. I tried several different ways to fix it, but none of them worked. The most reason I tried was the method of using the flashrec to flash a recovery image while the phone is on, instead of fastbooting it. That didn't work because it kept saying it was the wrong image for the phone.
Thanks in advance guys. And believe me, I've been searching and searching.
Dane
before you can flash anything with fastboot, you have to shoehorn that engineering SPL into the phone somehow (probably have to make a goldcard, but I don't know for sure on the 1.2 mytouch)
which rooting guide are you using? (there are many different ones on unlockr, some of which are terribly obsolete)
also, flashrec isn't a recovery image, its a one-click rooting app that only works on android 1.5 (pretty sure the 1.2 mytouch only runs 1.6)

This was the guide I was using. (I can't link to outside sites, so I'll just copy it as text) http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/11/how-to-root-the-mytouch-1-2-and-fender-mytouch/
I also successfully created a goldcard, and installed all the ADB stuff. The part that's hanging me up is the flashing of the recovery image via fastboot usb.
I'm so close! I have successfully rooted two other mytouch devices, but they were not the 1.2 version.
Any more help would be great!

what "sapphire" image did you substitute? and what happened when you tried to use the sappimg that they gave you in the instructions?
When I tried using that image, it just said "wrong file for this phone" or something like that. I know the goldcard was done right, though, because it works with another sappimg. I'm trying to follow cryptsmoker's guide now. I'm going to try and use the engineering img/SPL now. We'll see how it goes.
Ok, now I'm getting frustrated.
Here is my info:

I just got the Model ID incorrect!
Update Fail!
This happens with every sappimg I use except T-Mobile 2.10.531.4. I'm sure that's the stock one, so that's probably why. I'm just so ticked.
To clarify again, After I hboot the sappimg, I reboot and instead of being taken to the Magic screen, I'm taken to a standard MyTouch splash, then Android splash, then MyTouch setup screen. My touchscreen works the entire time. Is this because I basically just reinstalled the stock ROM?
I just can't seem to get ANY other sappimg to work beside the stock one. I've used three different goldcards and all of them work the exact same way.
Please help!
Dane
yeah, you are just reinstalling the stock files (stock SPL and radio)
just because the t-mobile sappimg works doesn't mean you made the goldcard right.
the point of the goldcard is to trick the phone into installing a non-stock sappimg, you could take a brand new SD card, put the stock sappimg on it and you would still be able to flash it using vol-down+power
open the goldcard.img in HxD and make sure it contains all the lines (including all of line 170), if it doesn't then you need to start over from the beginning (get cid again, reverse it again, get a new goldcard.img)
If goldcard.img is ok, open the sd card in HxD again and make sure all of the first 170 lines of the sd card match the goldcard.img
also, some SD cards just don't work for making goldcards. I used a lexar 1gb, and kingston 2gb cards are reported to work
I didn't paste over the entire 170 line while making the goldcard. I used the "select" feature and chose 0-170...that could be my mistake. Here we go again!
I actually never got this to work the first time. I was really excited since I heard I would be getting the T-Mobile update soon, but then I read a little further and saw that the 2.1 is not yet included...so, I will be figuring this out today, mark my words!
Wish me luck!
Dane
I had a similar problem and it was the goldcard. Although I had made the goldcard and it worked before, using the same goldcard I get the same error message as you. I made a new goldcard and it worked flawlessly to flash using fastboot. Make sure you are using one of the brands that are know to work.
OK, new problem now. I installed everything and got it all to work. I actually had the stock cm rom working (an out of date version from the unlockr). Well, I tried to update and I started by flashing the 6.35.16.19 radio. Apparently that worked but now nothing else will.
In the HBOOT screen, I see this:

Got your pm.
Facts: STOP MESSING UP YOUR DEVICE.....
You are working in the blind... mixing bad spl and radio combos.....
So STOP what you doing and read and understand before you continue.
You can't just take any sappimg.zip and apply it... I has complete partitions layout... like the spl, radio, recovery ect...
So if you take whatever you find on the net and apply it, you will **** your device up... just like you did now...
Having the 6.35 radio and a perfected 1.33 spl... Just bad for business!
What is your current status:
Access to adb?
Access to fastboot?
Access to recovery?
Access to rom/system?
Also post fastboot info...
Then we can take it from there :0)
And for gods sake... STOP flashing stuff.
I have access to adb, fastboot, and hboot. No ROM/system or recovery.
Clarification: Since I cannot access the system of the phone, I do NOT have access to ADB. I cannot see the device when I type in 'adb devices' within the AndroidSDK\tools path.
Fastboot info:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H

the hboot: hboot-1.76.2007.nb0
the recovery: recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img
I have since tried to go into one of your other threads and at least match up my SPL/Radio combo. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
OK.... you are now in a god situation...
You have a good combo and eng spl...
We can work with this....
1) boot into fastboot
2)download the fastboot commander (magic).... check my signature
3)start the tool... does it print the device info?
If yes, do this:
Go to the magic 32A tab.
Push "flash old".
IF all successful, then go to "misc" tab and push "reboot device".
When device has rebooted, push "print device info".
Now copy all text and posted here...
IF you get ANY errors... DO NOT REBOOT, DO NOT CLOSE THE TOOL...
Just take the output + the content of the "actual tab" and post here....
Again, IF you get ANY errors... DO NOT REBOOT, DO NOT CLOSE THE TOOL!
If the tool does not print the device info, then post here...

Sorry, my battery died, I'm running around to trying to piece everything together. Here I go...
Just do what i wrote.... Read, understand, read, understand, execute.
Hello all, thank you for this great resource and any insight you can provide.
I need some of your wisdom, as I've been banging my head against a brick wall for about two weeks now, trying to root my T-Mobile MyTouch 1.2 (HTC Magic) with the 3.5" jack.
I did a couple hours of homework and began the process, but currently am stuck at the HTC Magic splash screen on normal boot up. I cannot boot into recovery; I have tried flashing both the Amon Ra versions, H and G. I can, however, boot into hboot and fastboot menu options, so it my understanding that my phone is salvageable with the right tools and process. Unfortunately, I was given bad advice—or incorrectly followed good advice—and now all the instructions I find to restore functionality to my phone don't go smoothly.
I've spent countless hours trying proposed found threads here (mostly) and other resources, but while the solutions sound like the apply to my hardware, they fail to complete successfully.
I have created two goldcards, both appear to work, as I have been able to flash a sappimg.zip image initially, but currently trying to flash again to remedy problems hangs and requires me to pull the battery. It usually hangs at the initial unzipping or at updating radio_v2. Via fastboot, I have been able to flash the stock hboot.nbo and reflash different versions. I was able to flash to the stock radio once, but have had problems trying to reflash images, trying to correct the issue.
These details have read different things at different stages in trying proposed solutions, but currently the info on fastboot menu reads:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0009 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO-6.35.10.18
At this moment, I've stopped trying to find answers on the forum because I've spent countless hours failing and more importantly, fear that if I continue applying incorrect solutions, I will irreversibly damage my phone. I hope that someone can provide some advice tailored to my situation.
Thank you for reading and for your reply. I understand that any advice I receive is at my own risk to follow.
Option one: flash the .nbo file for te engineerings 1.33.2010 spl and thz flash the g recovery.
Option two: flash the sappimg to revert back to stock then stsrt all over again
Option three: flash the stock sappimg and stay at stock thanking jesus you didnt **** anything up.

You did not read the mytouch 1.2 rooting guide correctly. This phone can only run stock spl and radio. Read the guide at the unlockr. After using the goldcard you should have flashed stock spl and radio using fastboot.

I tried the files and process indicated on Unlockr several times. The files and process located here: theunlockr.com/2010/03/11/how-to-root-the-mytouch-1-2-and-fender-mytouch/
Attempting again, just now, I run into the same roadblock as reported in my initial post: Immediately after clicking the action button to execute the update, the process hangs at 'Unzipping' on step [1] SYSTEM, where the progress bar never moves, and pulling the battery is the only thing that works (unfortunately, since I'm warned not to power off the device!).

Attempting option 1, I get the following messaging in the terminal while trying to flash the hboot.img (not nb0, is this wrong?) downloaded from the 'Magic SPL HBOOT collection' thread located here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019
sending 'hboot' (512 KB)... OKAY
writing 'hboot'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
In the previous reply to another helpful commenter I describe another error I get while attempting to update the sappimg provided by Unlockr.
Further insight is very much appreciated.
so this is the second time I'm seeing this exact problem... this is keeping me from rooting this mytouch. but last time i saw this problem I believe it was solved.. i can't remember where i saw it though! I'll look and look until i find it then i'll post it here!

I've visited that thread before in my days of lurking, but didn't attempt it (I don't think—I've tried so many things, it's hard to remember fully at this point).
I think all I have right now are goldcards. I hope a stock SD card isn't needed, or I'll have to figure out how to restore a Kingston microSD or buy another.
Thanks again for all of your input.

Follow up, attempting to update to MT3G 1.2 Sappimg (BUILD# 2.10.531.4) downloaded via that link, I encounter the second error documented in my initial post, the update process hangs at updating step [2] RADIO_V2. The red progress bar stops at about 95%. Pulling the battery out is the only way to escape.
I think, and this is just a gut-level guess, that my problem stems from a corrupt radio version. Any one have an opinion or advice about that?
After pulling the battery and booting back into fastboot, my versioning reads as follows:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO 6.35.10.18
You have a 32a radio with a 32b spl, during the root process you are supposed to be able to revert that. What we need to do is get you onto an eng spl so you can fastboot erase radio, fastboot flash radio, then flash the correct hboot aka the stock one. Right now you cant fastboot or anything aka you are semi bricked. Only thing i can say is let it sit o the charger for as long as possible for the sappimg update and pray lots n lots.

How can you tell that I have a 32b SPL? By the errors I'm experiencing? The SAPP310000? Just guesses here. I don't see that on my phone so, I'm curious to learn.

Are you advising my to sit on my hands, keeping my phone charged, until, hopefully, the development community comes up with a new sappimg solution? Or are you saying to preform the 1.33.2010 engineering SPL update until success or my phone dies?
I was stating to do the update where it freezes or hangs on the radio and let it sit for a crazy amount of time with praers, the spl version is defing by the numbers i the 1.33.0013 etc area, 32a users have 1.76.xxxx sp numbers while 32b users have 1.33.xxxx and after looking i see you are on the stouch 1.2 spl which is why fastbooting anything will not work. Quick question though did you try flashing te spl and radio BEFORE the recovery?

I initially tried followed the procedure here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_Fender/1.2
Where, I updated the SAPPIMG via goldcard, then through fastboot, I flashed the radio, hboot, and recovery. But, I wasn't able to boot to recovery after that process, for whatever reason, so I began trying other procedures from other sources, which in all likelihood took me further away from the solution instead of closer.
If the current attempt of updating radio_v2 until success or power battery dies (which has been hung for about 30 minutes so far) does not end successfully, should I try flashing a different hboot or radio? Or any other suggestions?
Thanks again for your continued help. I'm going to try to get some more attention to this thread to hopefully get more possible solutions.
If the radio doesnt flash then we have to question why the recovery didnt load, the g version is the correct version given there is only one spl for us 1.2 users and it is a google spl. That is why you flash radio then spl then recovery in that order so nothing messes up. The thing is you have to flash a radio before spl, yet you hav the spl yet NOT THE RADIO which leaves me to believe you accidentalky did the spl first n not the radio first.

Okay, thanks so much for the continued insight.
I think, I flashed the radio down to original, but encountered some problem, misdiagnosed it, and flashed it back up again. Now it's been about 3 weeks of messing with this phone for a couple hours a day, so, unfortunately, it's hard to remember all that I've tried. If what you're saying is true, then yes, I must have accidentally flashed the SPL before the radio. Is there a remedy for this? I've been pouring over this forum searching for "can't flash radio" (forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=39519193&pp=25&page=1) and so far I've read people claiming to have had successfully deleting their radios completely and reinstalling. Is this an option? Any other suggestions?
I will PayPal $30 to you, anyone who can give me a solution to where this phone is working and rooted. Alternatively, I live in Los Angeles, if anyone can recommend a good, knowledgeable, phone repair shop.
it's really strange why that didn't work for you.
My steps were as follows:
**make sure phone is fully charged**
pre 1) create goldcard
1) place sappimg.zip on gold card
2) boot phone with goldcard to flash using Vold down + power
3) let it reboot - should boot up to the "htc magic" logo -- for me it never loaded back up to stock 1.6, I had to pull the battery.
4) boot to fastboot using back + power
5) connect phone to PC and verified it was recognized using "fastboot devices"
6) make sure you have stock radio and spl in your Android SDK's \tools
7) performed the following:
fastboot flash radio radio.img (or whatever the filename you have for the stock radio)
fastboot flash hboot hboot.nb0 (or whatever the filename you have for the stock hboot)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (or whatever the filename you have for amon_ra or clockwork or cm recovery)
fastboot reboot-bootloader (to make sure that stock radio and SPL are loaded again)
8) reboot to recovery using home+power
*from this point on, you no longer need to use your goldcard
9) have new ROM .zip on root of your SD card, option flash from zip
10) ???
11) profit

Thank you for your continued feedback!
I think you've listed the standard recipe for rooting this phone. I believe you. Unfortunately, something in my phone has gone askew (certainly my error) at this point and the "standard" just isn't working now. As is, and for the past 3 weeks, the process you describe dies at step 2. It hangs while updating RADIO_v2 (at whatever position in the list of updates it is for a given SAPPIMG file). Also, attempting to flash a stock radio.img via fastboot also hangs. Both updates send just fine, but hang at updating around 95%.
I've also been getting some advice from another member, knny1491. On this page, above, you'll see he hypothesises what my error is:

That sounds plausible that I did flash things in the wrong order. I'll accept that. I've been messing with it so much, I'm lucky it works at all. So now, and still, my question is where to go from here? Do you know anything about this radio/SPL relationship and how to remedy this current conflict, NetrixTardis?
Thanks again.
Possibly try to re download the sappimg from the mgic spl thread?
I was just thinking, if your goal at this point is to have the phone usable again regardless of root; why not try the RUU exe ? If i unserstand what it does, it should flash the phone back to stock (radio, spl, recovery,ROM etc). You'll have a phone as if you just unboxed it.
Thats if i understand what the ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU) does correctly. Someone should be able to correct me...

Thanks for the idea! I'll do some research on that. If anyone else can give any insight into if this may help restore my phone, please chime in!
I'd like root, but anything that gets the basic utility of the phone back would be great at this point (I've been using a old razr as a replacement while mine is hosed). I think an official 2.2 update is coming out from T-Mobile soon. I can wait for that.

If this is a good potential solution, could someone please direct me to which RUU to use? I've located the "[ROM] Official HTC Sapphire/Magic/MT3G RUU ROM Links" thread here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659403
There really is a great abundance of options. I'm guessing I should go for the latest [MT3G 1.2] download which is:
36) [xda-ftp] [4shared] 2.10.531.4 T-Mobile USA DRD35
36) 2.10.531.4 1.33.0013G 2.22.23.02 N T-MOB010
I'll want a few hours or perhaps a day before attempting this process, in hopes that some helpful reader will provide his input if this is a good or bad thing to do as far as getting the phone working again.
Thanks!

ricmiester, as far as I remember CPLD-13 is for MyTouch 3G Fender / LE, which means you flashed the wrong radio and spl. Make a goldcard and use the rooting tutorial at the unlockr (google it) to fix it.

No. Since you were able to flash the wrong sappimg (congrats, by the way), I'm guessing it's working just fine. Follow the rooting tutorial at the unlockr.
ahhah ok ill try it again ill massage back with progress in a minute

my phone died on the fastboot flash recovery recovery.img but got past radio but now s-on is now on
WTF? What do you mean "died"?! Are you at least back to the stock radio and SPL? Does your phone boot into recovery (hold down home and press power) or into normal mode?
If you're back to stock radio and SPL you should now be able to start the tutorial once again and it shouldn't fail on flashing sappimg this time. At least I hope so
Repost your fastboot info.

You got it. I'll merge them and this is a HUGE no no!

The next time you violate rule #5 I will close and remove the thread and you will have a time out. You only need to post a topic ONCE. One topic, one thread. Simple as that. You're lucky that I'm in a good mood or all of your posts would be closed.
Now to spend the next ten minutes cleaning this up.

Okay, great! Now you should be running your stock SPL and radio (which means S-ON), but you can go into the modded recovery by holding down home and pressing power.
If you still have the 1.33.2010 SPL and 3.22.20 radio you need to flash the stock ones, otherwise no ROM will work!
As for a ROM, I really don't know which one would be best for you, but you can check out the ROM bible at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682243 - last section of the first post is for your phone - MT3G 1.2 / LE Fender.
Glad I could help and welcome to XDA
Hi,
I have HTC Magic Vodafone UK version (32b) . A month ago I wanted to install a ROM which required a higher version of radio, and I bricked it
I had it repaired in a shop, but it seems that the guys put the wrong radio. This is what I get in fastboot:
Now I have 3.22 radio (which is only for Magic 32a). The problem now is that I cannot install 32b ROMs because of the radio, and 32a ROMs are also not working (or maybe I am doing sth wrong). The only ROM which is working currently for me is VOdafone 2.2.1 32a.
So, my question is: which ROMs should I be installing now - 32a or 32b?? Should I maybe go again with radio change, and go back to the old one (which is a risky process)
Thanks!
Thread moved to General.
Please pay attention where you post your threads next time.
Sorry, will pay attention in the future
The good thing is, that you have eng spl..
So you have total control over the device,,,
You can flash anything you want..
Just flash a different radio and you should be set :0)
Hey mumilover,
Thanks for the reply.
The thing is that I've already bricked it once when tried to change the radio, so now I'm afraid to do it again and thus trying to find some alternative
Download my fastboot commander from my signature.
Download this radio: https://rapidshare.com/files/455782324/2.22.19.26I.img
Flash it.
Download this recovery: http://rapidshare.com/files/387932919/recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G.img
Flash it.
Reboot into recovery and flash whatever rom you like :0)
Good luck.
When I was reading about flashing radios, I remembered pretty long and complicated procedure (downgrade android, wipe, etc.) Is it with your fastboot commander that easy???

Hey, I have just given it a try, but it won't flash the radio. I get the Fastboot connection (it says "Fastboot USB" on the phone screen), but in your app it says that "PRINT OF DEVICE INFO FAILURE - PLEASE CHECK YOUR CONNECTION.
No fastboot device connected."
Any idea what the problem might be?
By the way, I have been using regular fastboot for quite some time, and it was always working flawlessly with my phone.
Seems like its the connection to me, even with s-on on my phone it I still get the device info print off
Which OS do you use?
If normal fastboot commands works, then this tool SHOULD work :0)

I adviced owner to flash 2708 radio and SPL 1.33.0013d from recovery.
After flashing of radio phone became a brick...
Hope guy will manage to unbrick it, but the question is what to do further.
Is it safety to flash radio/spl using your soft of it would be better to use fastboot method described here (I mean Revert to 32B Radio)?
And is radio 2.22.19.26I what we really need?
Which SPL should be flashed after to escape bricking?
Keep the spl...
flash the 2.22.19.26I radio and G recovery from my tool or fastboot.
Then you should be all ok...

Ok, I see. Do you think engineering 1.33.0010 should remain untouched?
But how to flash new 1.33.0013d which is required for many roms with appropriate kernels?
P. S. I've tried your tool on another computer, and still can't get a connection to my HTC Magic ((
It finally worked!!!
Well, nobody told me that I needed to install this HTC Sync software...
OK, so I finally installed 2.22.19 radio, but for this ROM I need 2.22.23 and Death SPL. Is it safe to install those using your tool???
Again, thanks for your time!

Thanks to croniccorey for offering the final and working solution
I have left my previous posts in quote boxes so people can follow my processes and steps below.
Ok, I'm going crazy here and I've read hundreds of threads on various forums to no end of my problem. I have my g/f's old myTouch 3G and figured I would set it up as a Google Voice/Skype only device. I also figured I'd finally venture into custom ROMs (since I have a Verizon Xperia Play...and modifications on that are too risky for me; damn locked bootloader!).
Anyways, I had no issues rooting with SuperOneClick, the I updated OTA (which I think was a huge mistake). I then flashed ClockworkMod 2.5.0.7 and all the fun began! Initially I couldn't get into Recovery no matter what I tried, even with RA (and thus not be able to flash CM6). Everytime I did, booting would just hang at the myTouch 3G splash screen; but I could still fastboot and boot normally. My 2nd problem was that I realized I had a "Perfect" SPL. I figured this was the issue, but I couldn't get into Recovery to flash a better one.
Eventually I read something where someone said to IMMEDIATELY reboot into recovery after flashing...I figured caps meant super important, so I did and oddly IT WORKED! So I flashed a better SPL...phone rebooted a few times, then it hung at the splash screen again. I waited 5 minutes, thread I was following said to wait 2 minutes before pulling the battery, so I did. I booted into fastboot to see if it worked and my SPL was listed at the one I flashed, so I figured all was well.
Now when I boot, everything just hangs at the splash screen. I can still access Recovery and Fastboot, so its not like I'm bricked or anything. I'm at wits end here, and its time I just break down and ask for help.

Ok the radio is fine and its a good thing u have a non perfected spl maintain that at all times!!!.now I want to confirm u dont have magic 1.2 and dont have the 3mm head phone Jack which u shouldn't what I advise is that u find a post here with a diff hboot/spl with a non perfect spl and try to flash that but before u do any of that try to see if u have a correct kernel so download a compatible rom and a package named anykernel which choosea kernel for u(all this can be found here try cronmod rom search here for that). So again try to see if you have a good kernel for your 32b device. Try flashing a rom with instructions for that here(try cronmod) and if that disnt work try anoyher Non perfected spl flashing via fastboot.

First off, thanks alot for the response; I'm very surprised that it took only 12 hours to get a response on a legacy device.
To confirm, I'm pretty sure I'm not 1.2, as I have the 32B platform (isn't 1.2 only 32A?), and yes, I have NO head phone jack at all.
Anyways, I have found the various other hboot/spl to flash; but I was under the impression the best choice was to go with 1.33.2010 (which I did); what would be the next choice to try? 1.33.2005? 1.33.0013d?
For anykernal; would this be the right direction to be heading? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1641521&highlight=anykernel
Is cronmod the prefered choice for the myTouch 3G over cyanogenmod? Or rather is gingerbread better than froyo for the mytouch? I havn't yet flashed a rom since I only just got the SPL flashed and thats when this boot hanging occured. I had planned to flash the rom via ROM Manager; but was unable to get past the boot screen. Would the best idea be to just flash the rom using Recovery directly and go from there?
EDIT: After reading the prerequisites for cronmod...I'm a bit concerned; should I not have 1.33.2010 if I'm 32B?!
bump - updated OP with new issue rather than making a new thread as it still follows along with the same basic problem of booting

Well I'm sorry, but the wording was very confusing. And I am not posting here because I want to find an answer, I'm posting here because I've spent hours and hours on my own already researching these issues. It's just difficult to find straight answers with so much conflicting information I've found. Trust me, don't let my lower post count give the wrong impression; I'm far from a "user", but I have stated already that I have 0 experiences in custom roms and bootloaders for the Android. I have a CDMA Xperia Play, so I was several limited by what I could do; this current venture is an attempt to rectify my inability to experience these tasks.
Ok, so that all aside. I wanted to give my rationale and explanation for why I am at the current state I am in the hopes to give reason for my "mistakes".
* I flashed 1.33.0013d because you had told me (or I misread) to try a different spl, and I thought maybe I was not supposed to be on 1.33.2010. I picked 1.33.0013d because I was under the impression it was a modified 1.33.0013 that gave the abilities of 1.33.0013 without the lockout as per this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139 and since it was listed as an option for prerequistites for CronMod, I figured I would be good.
* I changed to ClockworkMod 5.0.2.8 (United Recovery) because croniccorey had built a 5.0.2.8 for 32A-NR/OR. I figured since the guide was talking about being able to partition with ClockworkMod and since the version I had (2.5.0.7) did not have this feature, that it might be best to upgrade so as to insure I was as close to the guide as I could be to avoid screwing up.
Anyways, again, I will continue searching, but clearly all my problems are resulting because of that. I have literally 40 different pages bookmarked right now that all have pieces of information or conflicting information or outdated information. There is nothing that just says everything in one location, everything I find is written from the perspective that the reader has been on the myTouch 3G scene since it was released and thus has followed it, at least that is just my opinion.
I'm very thankful for the responses, really I am, I had not expected to receive any for days; but could somebody point me in the right direction literally. I never make threads unless I have already spent hours and hours googling, please understand that. Maybe its my fault for not knowing the right keyword combinations to use...
EDIT: Oh, and I wasn't passing the splash screen BEFORE I flashed 1.33.0013d. I had the exact same issue with EITHER 1.33.0013d or 1.33.2010. I believe if its not broke, don't fix it. I only changed the spl because you said I should try a different one and because CronMod was rebooting endlessly with 1.33.2010.
EDIT 2: And I forgot to mention I am unable to flash the eng spl via recovery, it always says Installation aborted. It talks as if I have to downgrade, I just dont get why I'd have to if I got to 1.33.2010 from 1.33.0013 without needing too.
EDIT 3: And this is what convinced me to go with 1.33.0013d
1.33.0013d is based on the new 1.33.0013 released in the MT3G ota and allows access to the additional memory provided by the new radio.

ok let me try and help u as if it were my phone and ill give u links and instruction as well a sec kk
Ok in the post u got your hboot it says even tho its locked it accepfs certain fastboot commands and it does as I have this in essence what I would do iz use that to our advantage and flash a sappimg.nbh with the hboot we want..but first. It also says in that posy if u have the radio spl u now have u can flash the 1.33.05 eng spl which I think has H off and is for 32b via recovery which is what u want so try the recovery one first and the the sappimg.nbh via fastboot....working systematically here si first we want to get u on a proper hboot then move on that the 1.33.05 spl is in amon ra hboot collection threat right here in this topic....can't give link now on phone

Ok, I saw your PM and replied; I already saw that and tried it, but can't flash a new spl via recovery. My next step was to go the route of flashing sappimg.nbh...but I was hoping there was an alternate way. I guess that is the next step to try though.
ok here is the issue the dude is on a kinda perfected spl 1.33.30d and radio 2.28.27(watev cant remem exact now but u know it) which should be corret as a combo for his 32b saphire but he flashed a recovery i think united recovery he gets this error when trying to flash a enginerring spl which he should be able to do
Installing....Finding update....Opening update (<-summerized)
Amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported.
Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5.
It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gungerbread based recovery.
Please switch to Edify scripting (update-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages.
Installation aborted
also just as a notation he also switched from a htc spl to a google one(1.33.30d) though that shouldnt acuse an issue anyone with ideas as to error. the aim here is to get this dude on a eng spl so we can flash everything fresh. any ideas and note i was trying to avoid doing it via gold card

i think if you all have nothing i will just flash a sappimg.nbh with an eng spl as his current semi modded spl should allow this without a gold card. and then double check to make sure we have the exact original spects of his phone and flash a proper hboot, radio and recovery then we should be go:good:
Ok...now I've probably really screwed up. No luck with your solutions in PMs, but before I went with the gold card solution I went with the solution to flash SAPPIMG.nbh....now I can boot, but I cant get access to the Android OS because I am not connecting to any cell networks, I have no recovery, and I cant flash new hboot, radio, recovery via fastboot still!!!!
Here is my new info:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G (Still Google branded for some reason vs HTC)
HBOOT-1.33.0006 (SAPP30000)

Well what you sent I wasn't sure was the same/would work; because of the file size and extension. And I didn't follow a guide, I just found a sappimg.nbh that should have worked based on post it was in...I don't have the link anymore, but I obviously still have the file.
And I can boot into the Android OS, but it does the new phone thing asking me to sign in with my google account, but the cellular connection isn't working and I can't get passed it to enable wifi instead.
Bad idea u should have downloaded the sappimg.nbh I directed u too u would have had fastboot access now and b able to flash radio recovery and hboot in 1 simple sweep anyway can u download a sappimg.nbh with a eng spl please there is a post here by amon ra helpung if u want to fix a pwrfect spl download one of those spl that will hopefully work and give u a eng spl
that fails. There is a way to bypass that network login Google

The sappimg.nbh (or nb0 file?) that you sent me was like 54 kb, it didn't seem to be correct. I'll look for amon ra's post, I'm sure its in my bookmarks of all the pages I've viewed. And ya, I tried the only method I know to bypass the login screen and didn't work. I'll look up to see if maybe there is a different way to do it...or maybe I just am remembering wrong.

Ya, I saw that post by Amon Ra; but I'm not sure how to make a gold card because I can't get passed the Android activation screen. And after researching, it appears I'm not alone for the myTouch. The way I tried before was in fact the correct way it SHOULD work...but for whatever reason the screen taping corners is not working at all for me. I don't know how to make a gold card if I can't get into the Android OS...
EDIT: nvm, I'll figure something out...
EDIT 2: I just don't have any damn luck with this....so I've tried manually making a gold card AND using the stupid gold card tool....neither of them worked!!! (verified by trying to load SAPPIMG via non-goldcard) I am literally going crazy dealing with this, I hate every second of it sooooo much!!!
