Hello , so this is what happened .
I just got back a streak from a complete change ( yes , the screen was stupid , camera button was only single press , back cover very loose . )
Now it's been fixed , restore done , BUT ,
now what i get is
com.dell.launcher has stopped unexpectedly and then the system exception came up , i saw this thing happening to my old device and it went away after 1 min , but 2 hours has passed and i can't do anything .
I can't root , i can't install z4root , i can't DO ANYTHING .
PS : I am at my wits end . And this is not my phone , it's my mom's phone .
She's gonna kill me if i finish up .
Yes , this streak is bought in singapore from starhub and came with 2.2 ( build 341 i guess )
But this is driving me mad .
Really , just got the MyBackup Pro for free and reinstated most of the apps and this **** had to happen .

why don't you just use a different launcher? like launcherpro or adw?
There are simply guides to flash the latest 2.2.2 rom, but i recommend 318 for stability.. Go to the wiki download, and flash the baseband, modem and recovery.. load the update.pkg for the 318 and then root.

HELP NEEDED to get m devy back running...

I was running CM 7.1 on my devy without problems for a year till my speaker broke 2 days ago. I wanted to return to stock to send it for repare but somewhere I made a huge mistake.
To make a long story short, after trying al sorts of roms, I am stuck at the JORDN_U3_97.21.51.sbf rom. It is the only one that boots! The other ones result in a black screen and I'm feeling lucky that I still can use rsd-lite to get the 97.21.51 back....
What to do? Which retail version can I use? I have a dutch phone and had official Froyo before I installed CM 7.1. I already tried all ROMS from germany, western europe and [email protected] http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_jordan/list.php ...
Also I can't install clockwork mod because market doesn't work @ 97.21.51 and installing it by zip with 2nd init also gave a error... Going back to cm 7.1 by installing it with 2nd init didn''t work eather (bootloop) .
Please some help here to get my phone to retail status so I can send my phone for repair of the speaker!

I think that U3 97.21.51 is a BL7 eclair ROM.
It provided a downgrade solution for BL7 users, but you're doomed
if you flashed it while you were on BL4/5/6.
I think that you are stuck on BL7. Just search up BL7 in Defy forums.

@MOD: Please do not delete this thread, because we are facing some crazy issues with some MB526 and this won't be solved in other sections, cause that is not a normal "brick" ... it must be solved by devs or nobody will solve it ...

It seems we arefacing some crazy issues with some MB526 (only?) that seem to be really bricked. They are just bootlooping. It doesn't matter which sbf is flashed. Even full wipes won't help ...
the only working things are RSD Lite and Stock Recovery ...
It themes like i have faced this problem at first and i wrote to Epsy and walter ... the only idea was, that there may be a broken partition ... i then left the phone for 3 weeks ... now, there are more people with the same error ...
any dev that might have an idea is welcome ... i't seems there is something new for us ...

the first wrong you did it you flash the china rom which is to prevent you downgrade to froyo ths rom doesnt support defy plus the only you can do is to flash the new defy plus rom but your phone will be upgraded to bl7 that means no root but it wiil fix your phone http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_jordanplus/list.php and dowloand DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-188 rom and will be ok but no downgrade and no root

when will u people understand the defination of "brick". If u read the FAQ before doing these crazy stuffs, u will not face such problem. And specially in ur case, u haven't bricked ur phone yet, try a bit harder to brick it if u want.

Are you sure only this SBF will solve the prob?! There are BL6 SBFs with 2.3.6GB. Won't that solve the prob? And from what I saw in the linked thread: KLICK the issue came after the battery was dead and all.. What I suggest: Flash the original SBF(Whatever is close) and send it out to service center

he gave me his phone with cm7 custom rom,,, and when i was about to give him the phone back, he asked me to put the stock rom on it, then i tried putting a custom rom on it via RSD lite,, everything was working when before i flashed that rom,,,
in RSD lite everything finished completely and i removed it and restarted,,,
but what i got is the bootloader error A5,70,39,00,27
i don't know what to do now,,, i tried many other roms too but it shows no changes,,.
my boot loader version is 9.10
Friends please help me to unbrick ma phone as soon as possible,,,,
if u guys have any rom for ma mobile then please let me know,,

I have the same issue with my defy+ telstra branded i couldnt root and ended up in boot error like you and cant boot the phone
Then i re flashed astock rom for australia but retailer version i managed to get the phone on and boot normally but im stuck on emergencey mode and cant make calls:crying:

A few questions
Is it a Defy or a Defy plus?
What is the name of the SBF that you flashed via RSD lite.
9.10 is not the boot loader version.I am assuming you are probably on BL7 (boot loader)and the SBF that you are trying to flash is a lower boot loader version . This happened to me when i flashed a Defy plus SBF on my Defy and then tried to downgrade just to find out that there was no returning back (as of today).
Here are the steps that i followed to get my phone working and i sincerely hope this may help you as well :
1) If you are on Defy plus (MB526) you can try flashing the rom mentioned in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595013. It will also help you to get a rooted device.
The above step should get you a working phone ,however if your device is a Defy (as you mentioned in the OP) you will end up having a non functional camera and experience battery drains.
In order to rectify this you can download this awesome rom from Quarx from the following URL http://quarx2k.ru/cm10-2ndboot-nightly-defy(+)/ (CM10-20121018-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip is the one that you should be downloading)and apply then the V3 update.
Your phone should now be running an awesome Jelly Bean based rom with everything working perfectly (well almost its still a Nightly Build)
The steps mentioned above is what got me a working phone and there could be other ways as well . This is a wonderful forum and i am sure that experts will help you in getting your problem resolved.:good:

since Motorola is new to me am not able to understand anything.. but i tried as to ma best .... if it was sony or samsung or htc then i can do anything in them,,,
And i can understand what u r saying,, but the problem is that am not able to get into the recovery mode to flash the custom rom via CWM,,,, is it possible to flash the rom via RSD lite which u said ?
I just get a white led when i connect my phone to the pc...

I understand that at this point you are stuck at bootloader error message that you have mentioned in the title of this post. Connect your device to a PC and flash the SBF(stock defy rom) that you can download from the link below using RSD . Once RSD lite shows the status as "Finished" , you should then be able to boot normally. Hope this helps.

I have the note , recently I rooted it and got cm ,for some reason I cant get into (before ) the factory recovery ,it would not let me in , I went ahead and ran odin and got clockword mod 5 running , but I am at a loss , starting with the NOte in 4th quarter closing in on overtime and there so much info ,I dont really know where to start!
