Hey everyone. I'm new to the nook color. I just rooted last night. The problem is, my music is skipping every 30 seconds or so. Really ruins the experience. Before I reflash does anyone know of a cause?
Did you mess around with the overclock settings? If so, I would start there.....
Haven't messed with oc settings. :/
I reflashed and it's happening less now but still occurs every 3 minutes or so.

Have you guys had any issues with your phone being unlocked, particularly while playing music, either Pandora or from the SDcard, and it crashing when start up the lock screen?
I've probably had this happen 15-20 times on me since I've purchased the phone and its kind of driving me insane. It seemed to go away with 2.2 but I went back to DI18 and ACS and it is still present.
Anyone else ever experience this? I've heard a resounding "no" from my mom and sister but they don't ever use their phones as a music player so that really has no value to me.
Anyone else had any graphic glitching?
i was using inparisv4 i have been getting the odd little graphical glitch,
At first its just a small; a flash here and there, but recently the entire screen has be glitching for about 30 seconds at a time (Full on like a no signal telly)
Searched in the forum, and a few people had the prob when flashing the touchwiz interface. they solved it by flashing to samsung ota and then back again.
I tried that i thought it was fixed but a noticed small glitches just once.
Anybody know whats causing it?
I am really freaked
Screen Glitching
I had a new "re-furbed" tab that within the first 30min of use exhibited this. Then the screen went dark and it never booted again. I believe that this is hardware related, and from what I could tell from my research, it happens on stock as well as rooted tabs. I sent mine back to get another "new" one, and hope that I do not have this problem again as the tab is exactly what I was looking for.
Hi All,
I'm currently experiencing a problem, that I know has popped up on this forum a couple of times, but not for the Nexus 4 specifically.(As far as I know....)
The problem appears to be random freezes, where the device just stops, screen freezes, no hardware or software buttons respond, and requires the power button to be held down for a few seconds to restart... It happens once or twice a day, at random intervals, mainly when i'm at the home screen or just browsing Chrome (Beta).... My Nexus is running the latest Nightly of CyanogenMod 10.1, build 20130529, although this was happening on the RC1 build too... Also running the latest franco.kernel 3.4.0 and Clockwork Recovery. Haven't partitioned, restored any backups etc as of yet. I also have about 230 apps, so if it could be software related, there's i high chance one of those has got something to do with it!
A suggestion or solution that doesn't involve fiddling around with ROMs, kernels and other stuff would be great, i'm not much good at that sort of thing and don't allocate much time to fiddling about with my phone, but nevertheless if required i could give it a shot....
Thanks,
Hello all,
I have an LS980 that I typically run the stock based ROM on and sometimes mess around with kernel. As of two days ago, my device while running Slimkat build 7.4 started making sounds (sounds like transformers lol) when the CPU scales during music playback, whether it be through the speakers or earphones. I thought it might be the kernel on the ROM so I reflashed my Stock ROM and stock kernel and the problem still persists!!! I think it is now a hardware issue.
Anyone know what I can do to fix it? I'm about to return completely to stock to find out. Has anyone else experienced this before?
Sound it makes is like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHQIiB4dJfs#t=26
EDIT: Doing a full reset (.tot method) fixed my issue.
Is there any way to figure out what's causing a random reboot?
I'm rooted, running A-O Rom, which is almost stock Android 8.
I got a random reboot when I used the camera the other day (it took about 5 pics and then rebooted).
Today I got a random reboot in the middle of playing "Words With Friends."
I've never had any issues with these apps before. Since it was today and 3 weeks ago, I doubt it will happen again soon, but I don't want it to happen again at all, especially since I'll be going on vacation soon and needing it for pics/alarm clock/phone/etc.
Any suggestions?

I ran A-O's 8.0 for almost a year without any reboots...
Any other ideas from anyone on how to diagnose this? or fix this?
