Does anybody know or have a list of what US Retailers will be carrying the Samsung Galaxy 10.1?
I am hoping that Costco carries it. If you buy it with a Costco American Express, you get an extra 1 year warranty free. I found this out when I bought my Xoom Wifi which I have 2 year warranty on it, even though I am returning for the Galaxy Tab.
Thank you for any input.
This is the only place I know of so far:

Interesting, they list the "retail price" as $599. I thought it was $499.
I think alot of places are churning out speculative prices. It seems to happen every time a new device is near release.
it was 499 and 599 respectively on their site. but i thought it was 469 and 569?
ill just wait for the local retailers.. though i had a good experience with mobilecityonline twice.. they are very good and very fast shipping.

The 8.9 model is $30 cheaper (the $469 and $569 prices).

Samsung announced the pricing back at CTIA.
im hoping BB and SAMsclub will carry this tablet
i am premier member @ BB so i have 45 days but on sams they have full 90 days! isnt that amazing!
I'll be interested in knowing who's going to carry the 10.1 also. I had thought about ordering it but the more I think about it.I think I want to put my hands on one first and the ability to take it back if I decide to do so
The daily deal website Woot.com (trusted, i've ordered quite a few things from them in the past, they are great) has original 7" Galaxy Tab CDMA units on sale (your choice of sprint or verizon) for $199 +$5 shipping.
seems like a great deal considering that I paid $350 on ebay for a well cared for tmobile SGT 7" about 3 months ago, and that seemed like the general used going rate. (honestly i feel a little insulted that it can be had for such a low rate now).
anyhow, just wanted to let people know about a great deal if you guys are interested. I am in no way affiliated with woot, just a happy past customer who is always out for a great deal.
http://deals.woot.com/sellout
also, btw, woot only keeps it's deals up for 24 hours max (or until they sell out of units), so if you're interested: the sooner, the better.
I JUST bought mine... it was too good to pass up, even if the model is not a good one for flashing on, which im sure it is because i've been looking at a 7inch tablet for a while now, it was too good a deal for a 16gb 7in for me to pass.
i got 2. one for my GF one for my Dad. I have a 10.1 and love it. A little dissapointed that it only has gingerbread but i guess thats because it is single core.
I was going to get my GF the Amazon Fire but a full tablet for the same price seems like the way to go.
not going to activate 3g though. wifi is fine.
Maybe the fact that Woot just sold 1500 CDMA tabs to a (generally) tech-savvy audience will spur some additional CDMA tab development ... never know!
If you've been following recent Motorola Xoom developments, you'll know that the first "Google Experience" tablet has just been updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Alongside the update, Carphone Warehouse, one of the main sellers of Xooms in the UK, has cut the price of the Wifi-only model to £249.99. This is a £50 drop from the earlier RRP of £299.99, and the latest in a long line of Xoom price drops which has seen the tablet gradually fall from the July price of £399.
It might not be as sleek as the Galaxy Tab 10.1, or as fast as the ASUS Transformer Prime, but £250 for a 10-inch, dual-core ICS tablet isn't a bad deal at all if you ask us. UK readers, would you be tempted to drop £250 on a Xoom at this point? Be sure to let us know in the comments.

So from a perspective buyer to those who own the Xoom, is it still a worthy purchase compared to newer tablets? I've been wanting to get a 10" tablet but they either lack the dev scene or hit the wallet pretty hard but the Xoom is well supported and at this price seems to be a steal. I did hear about lag/performance issues early on but has this been ironed out? Thanks

ICS for me has fixed all the niggles of honeycomb, its still not perfect but the DEV scene has now gone massive with ICS builds so it wont be long.
Personally I still feel the XOOM is the best made of the tablets, I love the fact that out of all the tablets you can now buy, it still has the smallest bezel which for me is a winner.
Great price for a good tab but the question is when will the uk get the ics update..
Hi, I picked my Xoom up from Argos for £220 and that was before Christmas.
Also had a nice case from Amazon for £10, fits a treat and tablet performs great. J ust waiting now for OTA update to ICS and job done.
Bargain for sure
This is a bargain, ICS is great, no need to wait for the OTA, goto the US version of 3.2.1 and await the push

A good enough price for me . Like you I wonder when ICS will hit the UK. I think I'll give it a month then root it. That gives me time to work out exactly what to do.

Ordered mine last week, should be with me tomorrow hopefully. While there may be newer tablets on the market at the moment, the price of the xoom and the incredible support being offered on this forum make the xoom the clear choice.
My sister just got one from carphone warehouse, she had been looking at one for a while, she just wants it for reading stuff online, so tegra 2 more than powerful enough for her. At £250 with ICS on its way it's too good to leave. If I didn't have the eee pad transformer and hp touchpad I would have considered getting one to play with

Yup, defo worth it. If you're looking for a tablet experience, the XOOM is in my opinion one of the best options, especially as it has that very handy SD card option!
And for 220€ that's an absolute steal!

Hi Everyone,
I have decided to purchase the A500 based on days of reading about this tablet versus the top 3 competitors.
However, where I live, this tablet is either discontinued or sold-out from local vendors.
I do have the opportunity to purchase a "no receipt" BNIB A500 32gb for $360 locally on craigslist.
My question to you is "do you think it's worth it?"
Many of you have read or experienced horror stories of malfunctioning gps, rocker buttons/power buttons failing, bricked start-up out of box, patterened screen, etc etc.
Just need a general opinion if I should risk it, as I have no warranty or return option.
I've come to trust everyone's opinion here, so I apologize if my question is juvenile.
I was never asked by Acer to produce my receipt in order to receive service. They have the tablet at the moment and are fixing a sleep issue. They only asked where I bought it and when.
Is the full size USB leading I to purchase the a500?

Yes, the full size USB is a big factor for me. Other reasons are the availability of roms / incoming ICS, cash price, and screen size.
I returned mine after getting a 32gb with screen flashing issues. My suggestion is to go with A200 brand new thru either Tigerdirect or Newegg for 349.99$ for 16GB brand new. No mini HDMI or Rear camera but ICS has already leaked for it and appears to be the replacement for the A500. There is a reason why its being replaced. I placed my order for a a200 yesterday.

Does the seller know where it was purchased? I have been finding more and more that retailers are keeping track of specific serial numbers. I bought a used DS for my son but the box was torn so I took it to walmart to exchange it and they said it was purchased at Best Buy originally.
That price seems a bit high to me for a used device even if it is listed a BNIB. There is no way to really tell if it is really new. Not too long ago one of the best buy had the 16GB refurbished ones for $279. When I tried to sell my 16GB used, I was getting offers in the $225 range.
I love the hdmi output for watching movies in any format on my TV so the A200 wouldn't work for me but everyone has different uses for a tablet.

I have noticed the same with retailers. The seller states it is shrink-wrapped and unopened, and can be opened in his presence for verification (with cash in hand.)
However, I have decided to not pursue a deal outside of buying from a retailer, as I would be heartbroken should an issue arise that Acer would not agree to fix without potential proof of purchase.
Well I should clarify it would have to be an awesome deal.
Thank you all for your replies. It's so hard to buy a tablet these days, with so many options and promised ICS upgrades!
The Moto X (16GB) just dropped to $99 on contract (upgrade or new signing) at Best Buy. For AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.
http://www.droid-life.com/2013/10/07/moto-x-drops-to-99-at-best-buy-with-new-contract/
Decisions, decisions.
UPDATE:
Moto X drops to $99 on contract with AT&T for 16 GB and $149 for 32GB (this includes Moto Maker)

yep. went in last night for a price adjustment. =)
Question is, will the 32GB on Verizon next month be $150? If so, i would definitely be willing to give up the customization from motomaker.

Right that is what I was referencing. I'm hoping best buy will have the lower price on the 32GB version when it comes out then.
After browsing BestBuy and Amazon, it appears neither offer the 32GB. Is it only available on Motorola's site or in the AT&T store? (I assume therefore will only be available in the Verizon store once it's out for them)
If so, I may just go ahead and snag up the cheap one at best buy. I can live with 16GB for over a $100 savings.
For those not in the know. There is a Motorola trade up program right now where moto will give 100 back for people who have older Motorola phones
http://www.mototradeup.com/
Could mean a free moto X if your interested.

according to http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/10/10/moto-maker-tipped-bring-moto-x-customization-best-buy/ BestBuy will have motomaker booths. I hope that this means customization and 32 GB options with the BestBuy discount. I will surely pull the trigger then
Looks like the sale is over The verizon30 code still works on Verizon's site, so I think I'm gonna pull the trigger at snag it for $139.99 unless anyone else here knows of a better deal? My problem is, my billing period ends this Sunday (I'm switching from Sprint to Verizon) and I don't really want to hold off that long. Amazon does have it for $99, but back ordered 1-3 weeks. Not to mention, I may be adding other family to my plan in the next 30 days so that might be hard to do if Amazon has an additional contract prohibiting change of the plan.
updated with new offering from ATT
Well, looks like Motorola is not honoring any type of partial refund/price matching for Moto Maker devices. I purchased a device directly from Motorola (through Moto Maker) on Friday of last week. After calling this morning multiple times and asking about processing a partial refund for the difference in price, I was told that "prices are subject to change" and always offered a $100 Motorola online coupon good for 30 days and only valid on select accessories.
Needless to say, I was a bit miffed! I guess I'll just have to try processing a price guarentee through AMEX and see what happens.
