Internet via pc

Hello, sorry if there was a thread like this one, i searched but couldnt find anything.
In the old days, when i had a winmo samsung omnia, then i connected it to pc, it could use it's internet connection, is this possible with x10 ?
Thanks in advance.
PDAnet in Android Market.
I think that software lets you use your mobile connection in pc, what i need is, to use my pc internet connection in the phone, cause i dont have data plan atm :]
u mean internet sharing from your pc. why dun u just turn on your wifi and connect to your router directly?

I dont have wireless router, i have an optic fiber connection coming directly from somewhere underground
Bump
Anyone ? I really nead this :|
If you don't have Wifi, what are you expecting to do?
Your only other option is setting up an ad-hoc network with your computer (if your computer has a Wifi card capable) and set it to internet sharing, and have the X10 connect to your ad-hoc network.

Replace "X10" with "Android"
Doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.

[Q] Internet if i connect my htc hd2 to the computer?

hello guys im new in this and i have a question...
If i connect my htc hd2 to my laptop via USB... will i have internet?
im in prepaid mode and when i try to join to my facebook without connecting my cellphone i cant open the facebook... but when i connect it to my laptop via USB i can join to everything...
CAn you guys help me please?
It's called tethering. It shares your phones internet with your computer/shares your computers internet with your phone.
so if i normally dont have internet on my phone.. but then i connect it to my laptop i will have internet on it?
Yes, but only if your laptop already has some kind of internet connection such as WiFi.
ooh nicee... very thanks for helping me..
I think there is some misleading information here:
Tethering is when you're accessing the internet on your PC using the HD2 internet connection and your HD2 data plan.
I think he is doing the opposite. He is being able to access the internet on his HD2 only when he is connected to his PC and is using the PC's internet connection. I think he does not have a data plan for his HD2 because he is on a pre-paid account.
Somebody correct me if this is totally wrong.

EDIT: ah my bad, i thought this is a new thread....sorry, didn't see the date
Now that it's unearthed, and as this topic is asked a lot:
Don't forget that your laptop's hardware has to support AP mode. If it doesn't, you simply CANNOT forward LAN internet to your android phone.

Hey,
I dont use it but when you create a connection an and it runs it have to be found. Try maybe a wlan stick instead of the build in chip on your notebook, without cryption.

sry but i dont have wifi on my pc only Lan
Seen this asked a few times over the years but never really with solid solution.
I would be inclined to get a USB wifi adaptor as very cheap (3<>4USD) & use software mentioned above to create your own secure wifi hotspot as would be more flexible/usable solution.
