Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with my A500, it blocks some websites for an unknown reason.
The tablet is running Taboonay 2.2 right now, but it happens also in stock rom. To root my tablet I reverted it back to 3.0.1. In that version all websites work fine.
I also tried some different browsers with no success.
The problem is neither rom nor browser dependent, but I think it depends on the version 3.2, due to working fine in 3.0.1.
It mainly happens on the k*nox.to website. It loads and loads and loads and finally interrupts with an error message "Timeout".
What can i do to fix this problem?

Net Connectivity Problems?
I'm also having issues this morning with getting on Market, as well as web pages thru browser... and come to think of it, I haven't gotten any Gmail notifications either.
I'm on T-Mo w/ Nexus One running CM 5 beta 3 (2.6.29 non-memhack'd), but I don't think the custom ROM is the issue.
Can anybody else verify connectivity issues on T-Mobile this morning?
i've had this issue... but mine stuck. i was hopping between dwang and cm. they were both nandroid backups and i was testing themes on them to see what worked and what didn't. anyways i got done and restored my cm build and market just wouldn't connect. however if i opened it and hit menu > downloads quickly it showed them briefly before saying there was an error connecting which i take as it meaning there was a connection, but there was something interfering with it. only way i was able to fix it was wipe and reflash cyanogen. :/
hey i had droid wall installed, un-stalled it then it was working again i think it was either a problem with t-mobile or droidwall was stopping it
Its me again, my thread got deleted by a mod. He couldve just moved it..but anyways i have tried to get to a solution but havent succeded.
What i have tried is
-Reflashing latest radio
-Tried flashing MCR 3.2
-Tried flashing Sensehero 1.6 (the ROM i used as standard)
Of course i did a full wipe.
Nothing works.
The thing is, i can connect to the internet but browser, facebook, weather or anything cant update or load pages..
Same problem for every access point, and this happened suddenly. Its like, 1 day working and next day it dosnt work.

First of all I searched and noone really has a definite answer.
I am running the Tiamat OMG Rom. Not running setcpu, just installed the rom the way it was mentioned in the thread and that is all. Everytime I go on the stock browser, it just closes without warning after a couple of webpages load.
I have tried doing a factory reset and then installing the rom, clearing the cache using manage applications, wipe cache/dalvik/fix permissions on CWM, tried another browser, installed different kernels (lauahpad), tried overclocked, reinstalled the BRD honeycomb 3.1 update...all in no particular order....and the browser still closed on its own without warning. All this happened after I installed the Tiamat OMG rom.
I don't know what to do.
any help?
Any suggestions?
I'm pretty sure it's not a Tiamat issue- see this thread, too- we somehow must have picked up a bit of JS while browsing <some site> as it apparently started happening last Thursday night and is affecting a lot of people (even unrooted users) who have JS on and using any Webkit-enabled browser (the stock one, Dolphin, etc. but NOT Opera or FF).
It is still doing it even after taking the ROM and kernel off??

Thanks for the response!! I am tracking this issue with the thread you gave me. Thanks again!
before this , my a500 is on HC 3.2. because of HC 3.2 doesnt have root access yet , so i downgraded it to 3.0.1 using this and update to 3.1..
and because of that , my media directory can't be played by default music player or any media apps and my pics can't be displayed at gallery. But the media file is still intact in my storage. what happened ?
and it kept showing my "Maps" has stopped unexpectedly , i never used that app ! T.T
Are you still on the unstable 3.0.1 that you downgraded to, or did you flash a new rom? If you're still on 3.0.1 with root, then flash a new custom rom and see if that fixes your issues. If you're still experiencing random force closes, I'd try reflashing the rom. Had to flash mine three times before everything got ironed out.
Still new at this myself, but hope that helps...
Since you downgraded and rooted, I would suggest trying a 3.2 ROM and see if that fixes your problems. Sounds like your ROM is in an unstable state. Also as smhism stated, sometimes you have to try more than once to get everything working. Also make sure you follow all the steps carefully in CWM so that you wipe everything before upgrading and installing new ROMS, otherwise you could experience issues like that one.
i'm on 3.1 (stock rom) rooted 4.010.40_COM_GEN1..
i did upgrade it using unstable updates on the link above..
but i guess i dont want to flash some new roms now , coz i got a lot of other things to take care of..
or maybe it can't be played and detected because of i'm updating using unstable updates ?
I would try to do the downgrade to 3.0.1 again and then upgrade to 3.1 once more and see if anything gets changed. Also, did you root 3.0.1 before updating to 3.1?
My XOOM WiFi seems to be inresponsive as the launcher will basically crash since there are no longer the soft buttons on the screen when the Xoom has been on for a atleast 4 hours. It didn't have this problem before, I am using the stock launcher and Android 3.2 had the same problem so I upgraded to 3.2.1 and the problem still exists, I had tried clearing data for the launcher and it didn't make a difference. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Well seeing that it is a recent problem, have you installed anything new at all? If so I would try go back to known working set of apps.
Secondly, you are running an extremely old version of Android for the Xoom when the latest is 4.1.2
If this update isn't available in your area then you should install CWM or another custom recovery and install a ROM that contains a newer version.
It might or may not be a recent problem since I have been using my phone and just letting the XOOM sit there. The only new thing I have installed might be YouTube updates and Alarm Clock Xtreme. I am running 3.2 for a reason as there is no ad-hoc wifi hack for Jellybean yet.
