[ROM][6/30/2011]2.01.605.0- Basic Debloat v2.1.1

Ok...Since there was a GB leaked RUU, I have 2 things for ya.
1) A rooted, basic debloat version of the GB Rom for the thunderbolt...
2) The upgraded radio for the GB rom....it needs to be flashed or you will not be able to use your phone.
Links will be up in an hour so standby:
What's in the rom?
1) 2.01.605.0 based
2) Android 2.3.4
3) Sense 2.1
4) Removed VZW Bloatware
5) Deodexed
6) Zipaligned
7) Rooted with Busybox 1.19.0 (Thanks to Adrynalyne)
8) Included Netflix and Patch (Thanks rmk)
9) Transparent Rosie w/ 5 column app drawer (Huge Thanks to Chingy)
10) Rosie Settings and ability to remap right button (Huge Thanks to Chingy)
11) Latest lean kernel
12) Updated Superuser
13) Added in Radio Settings to the Settings Menu (Jcase)
14) CRT animation
15) Fixed build.prop to fix the market
Directions:
To Flash Updated Radio:
1) Download and place on root of SD card
2) RENAME TO PG05IMG.zip (had to rename it to put in in my dl directory)
3) Reboot into bootloader and flash.
NOTE: DO NOT FLASH THIS IF YOU DON'T PLAN TO USE THE GB ROM AS YOU WILL LOSE SERVICE
To Flash the Rom
1) Download rom and place on sd card
2) MAKE A BACKUP!!!!!!
3) Wipe Data/ Factory Reset, wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik
4) Flash Rom in CWR

Same lockscreen...unfortunately...there are some differences with the app drawer and pulldown bar that I have noticed so far...I think they botched the camera up in this build though...I am going to pull one from another build and see if I can get it working....You can take pics with the front camera, and video with the back camera, but pictures taken with the back camera don't seem to save...idk.

The original RUU will work but you will lose root if you flash it...

Jcase put that one together so it is safe to say that the one from Android Police works too. He also started a thread here for it (so far only with a link to the Android Police post) with intentions to post everything here too.

Running fine for me after doing the following:
Wipe Dalvik, wipe cache, factory/data reset, flash pre-beta.zip, wipe Dalvik, wipe cache, factory data/reset, reboot.................watch amazing boot animation.......enjoy CM7!

Is there any difference between this pre-beta and the last build you released last night on your dropbox? File size is .1 mb bigger lol.

A lot can happen in 1 night, and .1mb hehhe
I don't know how people can't wait for a working camera for this.
Not even beta, its pre-beta. lol
But have fun! I'm waiting until it is far enough along for daily use.

Build Number = 4.5.1-134_DFP-231.
can any one help me with it.

First thing: You need to root your phone! Follow the instructions in my signature (under 'Rooted' - files found in 'these files')
Once you have successfully rooted your phone, you need to install 2ndInit <link here> (v2.3)
Now you can flash CM10!

(Its beta! Its mean not perfect, but ran smotth.)
Put this on your sd.
2.Then you download gapps
minimal is enough, because your systemspace is not big.
Here a new link
http://www.uncledan.it/android-files/DefyGapps/Defy-Gapps-CM10.1-20121201-minimal.zip
And dont forget to put it on your sd.
Accu is full?
3.Restart your phone and by the blue led you push down.
4.Go in the custom or stable recovery, not stock.
5.Wipe data/factory reset.Before make a backup, when you want.
6.Install zip from sd.
Choose the rom, after this choose the gapps.
7.Restart
The first time need time. When is look like problem
pull out and in the battery.And make the handy on and wait.
PS:Read, read and read next time.
In the many threats they wrote how to install specific mods.
German is so much easier for me.
So i hope its help.
And i dont know why the people forget thanks after they take an answer.

Gapps = Google Applications
So no, you won't lose functionality, and plus you can download any apps you want via the Play Store.

CM10-20130307-NIGHTL download this one which is stable .... later u can upgrade to the new builds :good:

I've been using sevenrock's adjusted Quarx build. However, if you read past the post you will find YAFU's post offers his take on it. They might be outdated as I haven't seen many positive comments on the recent builds. Hopefully someone can give you a more updated opinion.
Edit: As Sunny mentioned 0307 is the most recent stable one he knows. If you want to have fun then go play with the most recent just remember the newer does not always equate to better.

I am little confused with my backup part.....i want to backup my current rom. how can i do it? can it be done with 2ndinit? if yes can you guide it out.

Go to the custom recovery option via bootmenu, navigate using volume keys and the power button to select backup and restore and then backup all
On a side note, cm10.1 is working quite well for me

I have installed it and it is running great......it has been running fr 25 hrs now in one go and didnt found any prob yet.
Sorry bro i m not a heavy user for Wifi so cant give decision on that.
Prob....cant sync mail contacts with normal contacts.
Phone camera is not proper. It still has some glitches.
made few calls....the receiver complains abt my voice reaching to them
The worst is the 2ndit recovery got changed. still wondering how can i recover that
Still no big prob.....Over all it is good one.

i am running on CM10.1 20130404quarx ( the one with the stable kernel ) and wifi runs fine. i´m also on blechdoses 03/04 kernel, maybe it makes any difference, i don´t know. the problem is that actually the wifi prevents the phone from sleep. i resolved this problem with the battery saver app. but all at all the rom runs really fine

Thanks a very lot! Suddenly my MB526 understands German It was a Chinese before! And now it has gapps.
I used CM10-20130318-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip and gapps-jb-20120726-minimal.zip, in case anyones wants to know.
Even more great is the fact, that it has JB 4.1.2 now!!! It was GB 2.3.4 (or something, sorry) before!

chrome wouldn't work!!! viber couldn't send pics a little bit of issues i guess i will go 4.4 back if chrome works i also get better antena

Try the Mako v5; its very stable. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the compass. Other than that everything works.

What's your deal? Taking so much bull**** that you need to spread it?

Right now I'm using MDS rom it's working good. Everything is working. Supersu is updated and xposed is too. I'm still having some visual problems but nothing to worry about... My album art work wasn't working on stock but it is on this ROM. They just took stock and made it better... I do have a question. Can you send me cm12.1 that I can flash in CWM. I can't get the tool to work for me.

look, the way you asked the question is how you got the first reponse. the same can be asked with you, whats your deal?
just calm down and let it go. keep it clean.
also what works for the other users might not work for you. so much hype around this phone and they didn't dissapoint-they market the item well and always sell half finished goods.
maybe the only good thing going for it is they "might" release source code which they should be doing any way so the community irons out the bugs.
they're trying a different approach with the P8000 saying we will give out the kernel source code blah blah blah developer friendly etc but i will wait and see. i tried for 3 weeks to get P7000 in flash sales. twice i had in my basket trying to check out and the price jumped from 159usd to 209usd by the time i checked out. i thought it was a sign, wait... wait until reviews and see if any shipping issues. i'm glad i did.
now to answer your question to the best of my ability...the stock rom is the only one that i know off that allows the fingerprint reader to work properly.
each of the other firmwares have their advantages and disadvantages.
XDA doesn't allow "best rom" threads but i understand where you are coming from.
are you looking in terms of stability or most working features?

look @ my signature, so far is the best rom, few bugs that needs to be iron out "other roms have not been updated recently"

The 20150629 release doesn't seem to be an official one, just a modded version of the 20150617 release.

Yes there is. Please test it and report back because I too am having problems with A2DP bluetooth audio and my car: only plays on the first try. If I close the app and open it again, it does not send any audio through.

A new version of the stock OS came in OTA. If you want to test it you have to reset to the stock rom and install the OTA update. It's way more fluid than the original, seriously for me it was day and night. I didn't get trouble with the photo and the new launcher is nice. It's still Android 5.0.

Hi! I want to try this OTA, but when I try to download any system update I get the message "Your system was damaged, update is not possible". I am currently using the stock ROM! How can I install this new version that you have mentioned? Thanks a lot!
