I recently noticed a weird playback problem with my fire. If I download mp3 files from the web and then put them in my music folder I cant play them from the stock music player it says "playback problem" however if I open the same mp3 file using a file explorer the kindle plays it with no problem - its not the end of the world but a bit inconvenient when trying to listen to multiple tracks
Is this just me or something that happens with all Kindles?

Been using this, and it's great. Three questions
a) I can listen to podcasts OK by connecting via WiFi, browsing through the menu for podcasts and choosing one, however this seems to stream it over the WiFi - is there anyway to download the whole podcast so I can listen to it when I don't have WiFi access?
b) Videos that are formatted for my iPod don't play - I can hear the sound, but there is no picture. Does PP3 not play iPod-formatted .mp4 files?
c) Visualisations, browsing by genre/album and album name showing while the song is playing only seems to work if I'm listening to an mp3 file - for m4a files the song plays but I can't use these features?

Your best bet is to post your questions there.
Hi recently i found a problem with Samsung's Music Player.
I installed several games like RealFootball. However, the game sounds like "sfx_...." is also being loaded onto the music player. Its quite a irritating problem to me though.
Any fix??
i had read somewhere that you need to keep a blank file with the extension of .nomusic in the folder that you want to exclude the music player from scanning.. not tried it myself but u can give it a shot..
Just create a file ".nomedia" in every folder that has files that have to be hidden from gallery/musicplayer, that's it
Hi,
I've transfered some mp3's to my Xoom and I'm getting a Music Player error: "Error playing requested track", and most of the files indicate a 00:00 length.
Tried transfering with Windows Media Player 12 (which gives no error) and Windows Explorer. Explorer issues a warning saying that the files might not be playable, even for the ones I can play.
Other players like Cubed or Winamp can't play the same files either.
Even files with aparantely the same bitrates may or may not be played.
Does anyone knows what gives?
windows 7 gives me the same message for all the media I copy over, but it all plays back fine n my xoom. Does your media work in your other android devices? It may be a drm issue.
This media plays fine in any other android device and has no drm.
i have that issue as well when trying to use the stock player with the media that subsonic has cached. i also dont like how the media player sometimes pops back up in the status bar when i wasnt listening to music. happens randomly a few minutes after stopping music.
Try using Songbird to edit the Metadata... that's what I did and now all my music looks and works correctly.
Hi All,
Anyone else having issues with MP3 playback using the defaul music player (and also using the Cubed player? About half of my mp3's on the device stop playing after about 1/2 a second. I initally moved my music library via simply drag and drop into the device storage from my Win7 PC. I then deleted the entire library and tried syncing via WMP. Made no difference. Files play back fine using PowerAmp. I'm really digging the new android Music player though, and would love to get it working properly. Any ideas on what's causing this?
Thanks,
Tony
If I download an mp3 podcast to my N7, it appears in the music player and I can listen to it just fine. Same with my HTC 1V phone. If I transfer the mp3 to my phone via Bluetooth, all is well, BUT , if I transfer the file via ftp, which is worlds faster, the music player cannot 'see' the file, so does not automatically add it to the library. The file is present in the music folder and will play if I locate it manually and select it via a file manager. Can anyone explain why the music player does not see it and how I might be able to fix this?
I ran into this recently with some of my MP3s, the problem ended up being with the files themselves. I used MP3 Diags to fix the issues with my files, and now they work perfectly.
