I saw this too....Not bad. Only issue I have with this deal is that it's refurbished with only a 90-day warranty from woot and then you're on your own if it takes a crap.
hmmmm........

And I litterally just got one on eBay for $300... Do I return it and get this one? Or just stick it out as a decision I've made?

Return and get this one. Unless eBay one is new.
In Australia they are going for 299 new
swyped from a galaxy far far away...
Ok... i want one but i guess they dont send to sweden...
Given this deal, can the Sprint Tab be rooted and connected to Verizon's CDMA 3g, or is it permanently tied to Sprint's 3g network?
I'm thinking about buying it. I'm on the Viewsonic G Tablet forum only, so I don't know much about the Galaxy Tab development. How functional is the Honeycomb port for the Galaxy Tab? I just got Honeycomb installed on my GTab and so far its really good for an alpha build. The only thing not working is flash plugin, camera, and video hardware acceleration.
I just got mine from their last sale, and it works great, have had some over the air upgrades. I, too, have a viewsonic. I like the Galaxy size and the main reason was the built in GPS... Makes the Copilot work more reliable compared to the bluetooth Viewsonic. Of course the Viewsonic big screen is nicer to read documents and web...

Just bought one. I've got the wifi only version right now and really enjoy it. I'm listing that guy on ebay right now and I'm going to start the auction at $260 or so. It'll sell and I'll basically get upgraded hardware (faster processor, BT 3.0) at no cost. I'm down with that.
this must be limited availability... this is monster deal for 3G. thats 180euro
So If I have a current sprint plan with unlimited data, can this be added just like an extra line? obviously that wouldn't include the sprint hotspot. Or, will they require a separate plan?
I am about to hit Buy now, but is it worth it. Any serious opinions on the device from real users is what I like to hear, not reviewers. I own an iPad 2, which is hard to beat. Im no apple_boy either. Its the best thats why I own. Anyways I want a new Android tablet, I have owned one last year (Camangi WebStation) but I want to give it another go. How is the DEVin here, are there a few good ROMs?
I'm in for one, ready to upgrade from my Nook Color. Looking forward to the 1ghz processor and ff camera.

There are a few ROMs available... not near as active as say the HD2 forums or the Xoom forums... Overcome is pretty much the dominant ROM for GSM tabs. Alterbridge has both a 2.2 and a 2.3 rom available at the moment, and Spacemoose1 is currently working on development for Honeycomb for both the GSM and CDMA devices. If I didn't have one of these already, I'd be buying it... Someone point Deeper-Blue to this post so He and Space can develop HC together...
I've got a Nook Color as well and I am considering buying the G Tab on Woot too.
Not sure if I am going to pull the trigger on it, though. Besides cameras and a mic, what else would it give me that my rooted Nook Color doesn't have?
so it might be worth it. I was about to pull the trigger on the ASUS Transformer, but I went to best Buy this morning and it was sold out. I was available online there for like the past 3 days, now SOLD OUT
But I keep seeing these Galaxy Tabs for sale, some pretty good deals, its making me wonder if I should go Honeycomb, the post for this could be a ways away.
Put one on order for my dad, he's been drooling over my g tablet but I'm sure he'll be happy with one of these galaxy tabs. Couldn't beat the price.
Deal hit slickdeals, better hurry

Would this work in India? Reliance CDMA. Oh, and I cant seem to find any info about it having a sim card slot or not
If you've been following recent Motorola Xoom developments, you'll know that the first "Google Experience" tablet has just been updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Alongside the update, Carphone Warehouse, one of the main sellers of Xooms in the UK, has cut the price of the Wifi-only model to £249.99. This is a £50 drop from the earlier RRP of £299.99, and the latest in a long line of Xoom price drops which has seen the tablet gradually fall from the July price of £399.
It might not be as sleek as the Galaxy Tab 10.1, or as fast as the ASUS Transformer Prime, but £250 for a 10-inch, dual-core ICS tablet isn't a bad deal at all if you ask us. UK readers, would you be tempted to drop £250 on a Xoom at this point? Be sure to let us know in the comments.

So from a perspective buyer to those who own the Xoom, is it still a worthy purchase compared to newer tablets? I've been wanting to get a 10" tablet but they either lack the dev scene or hit the wallet pretty hard but the Xoom is well supported and at this price seems to be a steal. I did hear about lag/performance issues early on but has this been ironed out? Thanks

ICS for me has fixed all the niggles of honeycomb, its still not perfect but the DEV scene has now gone massive with ICS builds so it wont be long.
Personally I still feel the XOOM is the best made of the tablets, I love the fact that out of all the tablets you can now buy, it still has the smallest bezel which for me is a winner.
Great price for a good tab but the question is when will the uk get the ics update..
Hi, I picked my Xoom up from Argos for £220 and that was before Christmas.
Also had a nice case from Amazon for £10, fits a treat and tablet performs great. J ust waiting now for OTA update to ICS and job done.
Bargain for sure
This is a bargain, ICS is great, no need to wait for the OTA, goto the US version of 3.2.1 and await the push

A good enough price for me . Like you I wonder when ICS will hit the UK. I think I'll give it a month then root it. That gives me time to work out exactly what to do.

Ordered mine last week, should be with me tomorrow hopefully. While there may be newer tablets on the market at the moment, the price of the xoom and the incredible support being offered on this forum make the xoom the clear choice.
My sister just got one from carphone warehouse, she had been looking at one for a while, she just wants it for reading stuff online, so tegra 2 more than powerful enough for her. At £250 with ICS on its way it's too good to leave. If I didn't have the eee pad transformer and hp touchpad I would have considered getting one to play with

Yup, defo worth it. If you're looking for a tablet experience, the XOOM is in my opinion one of the best options, especially as it has that very handy SD card option!
And for 220€ that's an absolute steal!

Just a quick heads up, and it's not quite as epic as the original firesale, but the 16GB and 32GB HP Touchpad are on woot and sellout woot today for (if I remember correctly) $169 and $209/219 respectively. Refurb condition, but hey for that price, who cares! Hope you all get one (those who wanted it, but missed the original sale). Good luck!

they were cheaper when eBay was selling them to Canadians and people in the UK but screwing US customers since their US server died.
Thanks a lot for the heads up man, been waiting for a sale like this for a while
another thing you guys can do is call and see if any aaron's around you have any they have repoed because last time I checked cash price was $70 I've gotten 3 this way.I'll check on the price when I go to work and let you guy's know.
Asus Transformer is much better imo

So with my tax refund I'm going to buy a tablet. At circuit city.com I can get an Asus transformer or an Acer A500 for the same price (refurbished). Acer has twice the memory so I'm leaning that way but what do you guys think?
That is funny you posted this b/c i was going to post one about it too.
Best Buy has new Transformers 32gb for $399. They also carry the 16gb but it is not on sale and is still $399. But this deal is only this week (til Saturday probably-b/c Sunday starts the shopping week).
Anyways, I bought the Transformer (TF101) and am nothing but totally impressed. It is easy to update, easy to root and there are some really great ROMs over there. Plus it has a keyboard dock that you can buy.
I did NOT get the Transformer Prime (TF201) b/c before I pulled the trigger, I had read, read and read some more and every time the Prime came up with a host of problems and issues, like bad Wifi, GPS, screen light bleeding. Seems that they wanted to push it out as the "first" tablet with Tegra 3 in it but forgot to fix all the other essential parts.
I got it and had it rooted within 20mins (if you get one, let me know and I'll show you the easiest way to do it). Oh and ICS comes out sometime in the next few weeks for it (they said mid-Feb).
Wow I've been. Xda type reading about tablets trying to decide if I wanna bite the bullet and buy myself a tablet also. And I was also leaning toward the Asus transformer not prime. I think with the 32 gb on sale I'm gonna get it. But I still don't know about spending this kind of money. But but I'm tired of web browsing on my little phone screen.

Asus
I'm still enchanted with that Tegra 3 Asus rumor for $249.
Just a heads up guys. I just ordered a black one, which will be my first Samsung tablet ever. The listing is for refurbished, but seeing as how 800 have been sold in 48 hrs, the scuttlebutt is that these are really just new devices that Samsung needs to get rid of to make way for the Tab S, but YMMV.

Just bought this in white. Came in today. Stock ROM runs a bit sluggish IMO. Hopefully custom ROM will make this bad boy run smooth.

I haven't received mine yet. I paid for expedited shipping, but they basically lost it. Now it's finally going to be delivered tomorrow.
Just got mine yesterday. I'm coming from the Asus Infinity.
So far I've switched to the Google launcher and everything works great. So much smoother except for a few heavy websites.

Got mine a couple days ago, put cm11 on it. No sure how long it will keep me from buying a nexus 9, but I'm liking it so far.
I guess this deal is dead, but I found a similar one here: http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-samsung-galaxy-tab-pro-tablets
$240 for the 8.4" ones.
